I'm so sad for qxc, he showed he deserved to be in the ro16 easily, but this game made me straight up close the stream and want to never play sc2 again. It just makes no sense to lose almost all your main probes vs a simple stim push and then camp on 2 bases for the win without any major comeback play other than picking a few empty medivacs with blink... Oz sniped several medivacs in that game and, empty or not, those are huge. At one point he had one or two medivacs for his whole army and he couldn't heal his army after a stim. QXC made some other mistakes as well. I also feel qcx left that game too early. Oz was down to just gateway units and qxc still had 3 orbitals. It was really disappointing to see him leave like that, and it felt like he had no chance in the series from then on. That being said, qxc played really well and hopefully we see him in premier league again next season. He is easily my favorite foreign terran.

WCS system need to be rebuilt to galvanise AM scene. I see no interests for AM viewers If there is no half and half at least in top16. 5 AM players in RO32, this is ridiculous.

That's an overreaction. No one directly questioned Oz's skills, some even gave compliments (glad the Koreans are through, better games!) and as this is a forum we don't need to give each player equal time in all of our posts. People simply mention what struck them the most, which is QXC playing really well, being only one game away from qualifying, then losing 4 in a row. But here we go: Violet beat Puck in his first try, while hyun lost the first time, then followed it up with playing smart against QXC in game 2 and 3 after losing the first one, so all-in-all a well deserved advancement to the round of 16. Oz made a couple of mistakes during the first series against QXC, but crushed Puck in the losers match and followed it up with a nice comeback in game 1 and a solid victory in game 2 over QXC. QXC is the tragic hero, playing amazing at the start of the evening beating Oz 2-1 unexpectedly, being so close to qualifying but just not being able to finish off the Koreans. He can leave this group with his head held high, but sadly not with a ro16 ticket. Puck, despite finishing last, showed really good games against Violet showing that he still has his PvZ skills, but Violet was a little too strong this time. Oz was probably his worst match-up from this group and it showed - he tried valiantly but Oz seems very comfortable in PvP now and was just the better player in that match-up. It's not that hard to do this, but it takes a lot of time to write down stuff from every game when you just want to express one thing.

WCS system need to be rebuilt to galvanise AM scene. I see no interests for AM viewers If there is no half and half at least in top16. They changed the rules to make it extremely unlikely for new Koreans to join who weren't already part of the system, and they can't just kick every Korean (besides Polt and Violet?) out as that's a pretty unfair setback to their careers. It's also not fun to force 8 American and 8 non-American players in the Ro16, as that leads to the American players being absolutely crushed almost all of the time. What WCS actually does a good job in doing is giving Koreans to cheer for. The Koreans who play in WCS AM and WCS EU are on average way more easier to relate to than their Korean counterparts in their closed off environments. MC, MMA, Stardust, Jaedong, Polt, Violet, Golden, Hyun, HerO, Bomber, Nestea, Revival, CranK, Oz, Taeja, Alicia, JJ, San, Mvp & ForGG are all players who have their fanbases, speak English in some cases and are pretty well known among foreign audiences. Either way it's way more fun to just enjoy the games than to concern myself with the nationality of the players playing the game.

I feel Oz deserve his spot, not because he is better/Korean or whatever (both players made a lot of mistake, Oz was not very impressive), but because from what I can see in the game, he just tried harder to win an did not give up.

The bottom line is we're behind Korean skill and meta game. They played BW professionally for a decade. They've had pro games/players/teams and structure years ahead of everyone else. We are catching up though. Every season we get stronger and imo, we'll have some foreign players in the top 10-20 of the world soon enough. Noone said this is going to be easy, the koreans have worked their ass off. We must follow suit.

That not meant to you , or to anyone here, if someone took it bad way , im sorry . Is just that people make it looks like : ''Oz is bad , he didn't deserved last season's second place ''

Don't get me wrong, I think qxc has what it takes to be a true champion. Not every foreigner can claim an all-kill of IM near its peak . He just needs to work on his mindset. It almost seems like he went into the group without any expectations and simply playing his best, but after beating Oz and realizing that he was very close to getting out of the group in the winners' match, maybe he became nervous, or maybe he just wasn't actually mentally prepared to win, his mindset faltered, he became nervous and his confidence in himself was shaken. qxc's emotional passion seems to be both his strength and his weakness. He is able to work very hard towards getting a win, and in top form he looks like a top Korean. But when his emotions blind him, he becomes unable to predict the bigger picture and gets tunnel vision. If qxc improves his mindset and believes more in himself, I think he can easily reach RO16, if not the semifinals and beyond.

It's sad, but hopefully he can learn to see the good side of this night's results to drive his motivation for next time.

NASL went down, MLG dont want stream SC2. Why? Because there is no or really few NA player to cheer for. So lot of people in USA will not go onto those events. Sincerly when I see WCS AM, I just feel helpless for any new AM player who wants to reach the top in their country. If you want SC2 getting bigger give audience more than koreans vs koreans finals. And you guys know it that every Foreigner vs Korean match in RO8/4 and beyond as made the more audience than any Korean vs Korean match. This is not brood war anymore every countries wants to show their skills.
