We are updating some of the terminology for Proleague. We have changed the terminology for the round play off games to The Bronze, Silver, and Gold Challenger Match to differentiate it from the end of the season playoffs. We are also changing some of the terms to make more sense to our English speaking viewers. There is no change to the format of Proleague, just name changes.

Check out our facebook page for up to date information regarding Proleague. Proleague Facebook

Overall these look more reasonable. Though if I'm nitpicking why not:

Round x Bronze match
Round x Silver match
Round x Gold match

why the need for challenger? Seems unnecessarily wordy.

i always wondered why games were called "sets" and figured it might be a mistranslation, because in my experience "set" should mean more than one game. i think that's a good change! it will probably confuse newer viewers less. "lineup" is more sensible than "entry" as well

the others don't matter as much but are all fine too!

Can we get an official explanation on what the gold names in the rosters mean? Is it just top so many of each race or a certain number of wins? No one seems to know for sure but we've kind of just assumed it's an arbitrary number of people at the top of each race

Wolf said on stream yesterday that it meant they were one of the top three scoring people of their race in the previous round.

The gold names in the roster means that they are the top 10 in wins for the season. You also receive an extra symbol signifying you are #1 in Proleague.

Cause no one wants to watch bronze games. Adding challenger = gosu. Or maybe cause 1st place finisher gets seeded to the finals and everyone else have to play each other to get up there, so they are sorta challenging the final boss maybe.

Exactly right. They are fighting for the right to challenge the top seeded team and take 1st place from them.
