As you may have heard, Sasha 'Acer | Scarlett' Hostyn is on her way to Korea next week. We spoke to her on the eve of her departure, about the trip and her plans for the future. Here's an excerpt of the interview!
How long are you planning to stay in Korea? Around 5 months at first~ maybe longer after that depending how it goes.
Where are you staying in Korea? I'm staying with LastShadow; I've known him for a few years now and we get along quite well. It definitely will be different than staying in a teamhouse but I don't know if it'll be better or not beforehand! We're getting an apartment in Seoul.
Are you going to be competing in any leagues? For offline events (PL/GSL) I'm not sure... depending on how it goes, I might play GSL Season 3 rather than WCS NA if possible. Hopefully I can play with a Proleague team while there, though I haven't talked with any teams about this possibility yet.
If you could choose any team to play with in PL, which team would you choose and why? If I could choose... maybe Samsung Khan? I got to know 강민수 (Samsung Khan's Solar) online and I think it would be fun to play with him for a teamleague ^^ Also don't really know anyone on any other Proleague teams.

Though I don't know about her PL choice though practicing with RoRo would be awesome.

LastShadow again. Haven't heard of him in quite some time, he was very promising!
Scarlett said she was going to stream again in Korea, I hope she does!
Good Luck Sascha!

I would be great to see a lot of her in the coming months, especially if she competes in the leagues there. And i think it would definitely be advantageous for a ProLeague team to partner with her. They know all the foreigners would love to see it happen
|
If she can get on a PL team, even if just as a practice partner, I think that would be extremely advantageous. Fingers crossed, I could definitely see it happening.

nice, scarlett in gsl would be sick. also really like LastShadow, I heard he recently had surgery on his eyes, hope hes doing fine =) also would be nice if he maybe introduced her to hearthstone :D propably a great way for her wrists to relax.

Good Luck Sascha! I think he retired to play poker professionally
|
Looking forward to her progressing and getting into the best form possible. I think getting onto a PL practice squad would be most beneficial to her, so I hope that happens (Prime could use another foreigner for State to communicate with and keep sane! =P)
|
Hey, that's great, just take care of your wrists and don't overdo the practice while there, Scarlett! Have a nice stay

He had that thing at Red Bull Battlegrounds. That was the last I remember other than seeing him pop up now and again doing Hearthstone stuff with Artosis.

Would be amazing to see Scarlett in the GSL, I hope she gets a lot from her time over in Korea, she should try and get in contact with State, she if she can get in on Prime for PL or something.
|
KT_Scarlett please. Need to give the big 4 a few games off! Also would be awesome to see Scarlett vs State in a PL game, regardless of who she plays for.

It's been a long time since we've had a foreigner compete in the GSL, I hope she gets that chance. Good luck Scarlett.

So happy for her... I thought she might retire soon -- I couldn't have been further from the truth.
Hope she finds her groove in GSL and Proleaguuu!

Too bad she won't be staying in a team house this time like she did with Axiom. Hopefully it still works out

Scarlett :D I first heard of you when I too entered the "Sponsor Me!" Tournament...
I'm a big fan :D

A foreigner? In GSL!? Blasphemy!
Or it could be amazing. Sounds like this trip to Korea is opening a lot of doors for Scarlett.
|
I hope she does well there. I tought she retired, but apparently she didn't!
I wish she were in all the important tournaments, like GSL and ProLeague, but well, seeing her again in the spotlight will be good.
