would love to see him bounce back since he's definitely been someone to look out for since the beta excluding when he was gone for military service but his nonmirrors have just been really shaky for the last few months. If CatZ had moved his overlord over to kill TheStC's high ground tank we probably would be seeing CatZ in Premier league instead.

Well his TvP has always been his weakest for sure, but if you look at TvZ, he was very good for a long time, although not as reputed as Mvp, MMA or for some reason even Jjakji (rofl), but then around the time of Stephano's meteoric ascent (and I guess various Korean zergs as well, like Hyun and Leenock) he just fell apart in the matchup and never recovered. It's very sad, really. And if what I read is true about his match vs CatZ then I fear we're looking at an 0-4.... ;(

Poor Desbro in a group with 3 Koreans lol. These groups look incredibly good actually, and who says WCS NA is the easiest? There are a couple that could be considered group of death, but I think it's got to be CranK, TaeJa, aLive, and MajOr. MajOr is definitely one of the better NA players, and TaeJa alone make this group just deadly :p and with CranK's excellent PvT it could go to anybody I feel. Group 7 would be my next choice but it's close, could go with either I feel. I just think TheStC gets blown out and ZvZ anything could happen, but all those players have pretty damn good ZvZ. Guna be exciting either way! An argument could be made for Jaedong and Bomber alone making their group the group of death, but I don't think it's as strong as 3 or 7.
Rooting for puCK and Minigun to make it out of their groups, but it's guna be tough. I think Minigun has the better chance just due to his group, but puCK has been playing well so anything could happen  gl hf!

It's not decided which group will start off the season, they haven't determined the order, it says right in the OP. This is just the order that the groups filled up according to the draw, not necessarily the order the groups will be played.

They will both advance anyway, so a nice match to start the season. It's not decided which group will start off the season, they haven't determined the order, it says right in the OP. This is just the order that the groups filled up according to the draw, not necessarily the order the groups will be played.

Poor Arthur Jaedong and Bomber to advance for sure.
Easy group for Polt. Illusion will advance second.
Group C is ridiculous. I have to with TaeJa but second one? Let's go for Major once.
Group D is ridiculous as well but a bit weaker. Macsed and Sen for advance.
Group E will be pure fun. Let's go for Nestea and Alicia.
Not hard for Scarlett <3 Heart should advance with her though.
LOL AND I SAID THAT GROUP C IS RIDICULOUS? When you have ByuL, Revival and Hyun in one group + TheSTC, who can do something still, that's where things are getting funny. And ByuL's ZvZ is nothing outstanding in SPL now, so let's go with Hyun and... okay, ByuL, but there will be lots of roaches.
And HuK has another shot to qualify for top16 but HerO and Top to advance.

Man great lineups! especially for the foreigners, I feel like if Nasl had picked the groups you couldn't have gotten better draws for the foreign hopes. All the really dangerous Koreans seem to be stacked in the same groups I feel like major actually has a great chance to advance out of his group considering his great tvt + I would consider him the favorite vs crank. The only group I don't really like is #2 with polt I was rooting for all 4 of those guys to do well I really think neeb and minigun especially look promising.... oh well cant get everything you wish for.
Im just glad Scarlett has an easy group!

Maybe someone brought it up but it feels like lots of people who wouldn't normally make it out of a similarily difficult group may have a chance just cause they have 1 match up to prepare for?
ie crank... and everyone else who only has only one match up... although XiGua might already have been a favorite? A MAYBE Nestea once upon a time... idunno

When it comes to Terran players I think the american region has the strongest lineup. Bomber, Polt and Taeja are all among the very best and Heart, Major, StC & Alive are not that far behind.
Think a Terran takes this, but we will see ^^

Well I think that is kind of lucky actually, not that it really matters, since no of the american players will stand a chance in the ro16.

For the one WCS region that has a reasonable racial balance, these groups are horrible. 2 groups with 3 Terrans each, 2 groups with 3 Toss and a group with 3 Zerg. That's just eurgh imo.
That aside, good to see Heart and Alicia have a good chance of advancing through their groups and I have a lot of faith in CranK to succeed too, he only has to practice PvT and the Axiom house has a lot of good Terrans for him to practice with.
