Starting January twelfth, the Proleague broadcast time will be moved back 30 minutes to 09:30 GMT (+00:00) from the previous 19:00 KST.
In addition, Proleague will provide audio receivers with English commentary to any fans who present a valid form of identification at the information desk.
Additionally, proleauge now has a facebook and a miro website for easier access for all information regarding proleague:

Finally, players will no longer play ace matches in the special second floor booths, and play in the normal first floor booths instead for the duration of round one.

Doesnt mention "validate being a foreigner" at all. It says provide identification, probably so they can track you down if you decide to steal it.

Yeah... I knew something was wrong when we saw the foreigners there not watching with headphones on. The headphones usually mean english audio is available.

its not to validate that you are foreign, your ID is used as a deposit so that you can't steal the receiver....... want your ID back? have to give them the reciever back.
Also, in the OP it should say that the time has been moved FORWARD 30 mins, not backwards. Backwards would mean it starts later.

Hmmm ok doesn't effect me to much i should still be able to do every Sunday and at work it's probably better too as it wont finish at silly 1/2pm GMT so i can actually do my afternoon jobs xD
I was wondering when they were going to do this though as they have had the odd technical difficulty pushing the broadcast way past 10:30KST which is pretty late.

But wouldn't that mean no one can go to them apart from students? As most people are still at school/work? I thought the reason they are making it later is so that get more broadcast viewers? 19:00KST = most people are home from work sat down in front of TV/in PC bangs?

Wow, I was scared they would move it back several hours so I would miss it.
30 minutes doesn't really matter to me, just got to remember to tune in half an hour earlier.

I already drink half a pot of coffee to wake up at 5am. Well, I guess I have the other half left to get me up at 4:30. Other than that complaint, every action is perfectly logical and great to hear. I don't know why they even used the second floor booths to begin with for the ace matches.

This thread was confusing me because for me "will be moved back 30 minutes" means that it will happen 30 minutes later but then everybody commented that it will happen earlier. oO
I then googled it though and a website said that most people understand it the same way as me, so I guess people on TL are just weird.

PL is still my favorite tournament to watch, after all these years. Good changes!

The main change for me is the fact they no longer use the upstairs booth, it was nice in theory but the downtime it causes is not worth the style.

The caster change was amazing to begin with, loving wolf. Change of time is meh. Using the floor booths is way better, the second floor was kinda wierd.
Anyone noticed the live viewership recently? I only watch the VoD's the following day. The entire effort seems 100% better then last year. The only thing I would LOVE to see changed now is production/camera on the english casters like GOM has.

The second floor was so hype. Impractical, a bit awkward and the games always had some technical reason, but sooo hype.

As much as I've enjoyed watching live Proleague, if you have a normal work or school schedule, messing up your sleep constantly for live PL is something I'd advise against. Unless you can afford to actually change your sleep schedule long term, you'll probably find it not too worthwhile.
