Hmm... It's going to be weird seeing him on some other team than EG now that everyone has gotten used to it. But then again, any team would be lucky to have JD so I wouldn't be surprised if he got some super sick offer and joined a different team. Let's see how this plays out.

There's actually been a cute dichotomy in terminology/phrasing that dates back to the beginning of this entire JD-EG business, with KeSPA calling it a "loan."

If I recall correctly, the option to go back to a KeSPA team or stay on EG was ENTIRELY up to Jaedong.

Really can't imagine him leaving EG, he is probably pretty happy with his results and salary at EG. Plus EG would never want him to leave in the first place, names wise they can't afford losing another big one after Stephano.

Hope he stays on EG! I think he's a good fit there. Although honestly as long as he is on a team that can give him the support to send him to lots of foreign tournaments I'll be happy.

As much as i love proleague, of course i want to see Jaedong back and competing especially in his latest form. But he's accomplished a lot in his career already and it's great to see him have this freedom to do what he likes. And naturally since his form has only improved since being on EG, i have no complaints with him no longer being in a kespa team house environment.

Jaedong and EG is a perfect match. He gets all the support and freedom he needs, while he delivers an incredible amount off positive exposure. Never thought he´d go back.

Not surprising at all lol. Jaedong loves being in EG. Read that he was enjoying all the other players on EG and he also gets travels and meet fans and such. SCII isn't like BW where it was mostly localized in Korea so I think for most players and an increasing number of KR players (Jangbi was one of them before he retired), getting on a foreign team and getting to travel to different countries, explore the culture and play infront of giant crowds of cheering fans is a dream come true so why give that up unless you're forced to?
