Progress on this IEM New York interview with San the Man (aka ManZenith) was halted after I lost 50% of my subtitle file in a terrible computer crash. But finally it's done, and I guess we can say better late than never?
Listen to San trash talk his adorabledongseng (little brother) TaeJa for about six minutes (with a lot of prodding and leading from Waxangel), talk about NaNiwa, and generally be amusing.
This interview is best enjoyed when paired with one of TaeJa's previous interviews where he talks about his SanFandom.
You appeared in ASUS ROG Summer as a member of [SanFan] clan, but it seems you have left since. What happened? TaeJa: Oh, San hyung told me to delete the clan, lol.
Wait, you were the clan leader? What kind of player gives another one that kind of free publicity? Taeja: Oh, we're just friends, and I'm a fan of his, lol. He always maintains a position toward the top of the ladder, and in particular he's really, really good at PvZ.
He's always doing super well in prelims and online tournaments, but can't seem to get things going in live events. You think that's a nervousness issue? TaeJa: Hmm, I don't know him to be the type that gets very nervous.
So, Liquid`San? TaeJa: We have HerO who's doing so well, so we can't have Liquid`San.
Wow, that PR. ;;
What do you do with your prize money? Your friends probably ask you to buy them stuff to eat? TaeJa: My friends who live in Pyungtaek ask me a lot to buy them dinner at VIPS (a Western style restaurant in Korea), but there really hasn't been a time where we could all get together.
What about other pros? TaeJa: I'm still young, so they should be the ones buying me meals, keke.
Oh how far he has progressed. Just to think he was going to retire after that fateful night where he had Artosis bet against him stating that if San won against Nestea he would swallow a sword. The Artosis Curse saved San's career.

In Korean culture, we show more leniency to the youngest and expect the oldest to tolerate the youth antics. Since Taeja is the youngest in that group, it's no surprise why they let him say whatever he wants

But being the youngest in the group, isn't he supposed to respect "the elder"?

You should be super respectful when the "elders" are pretty old (not in Progaming years) Although in the Korean culture, we would usually refer to someone who is a few years older than we "big brother" or "big sister". Calling them by their real name is very disrespectful.
Really cool Interview. San is one of my favorites as of late, his stream is super entertaining. Really hope that he can enter many foreign events and win some!
