Since the release of HotS, there have been 23 premier tournaments with 16 different champions. Out of those 16, 11 (12, counting Revival) are attending Blizzcon. Out of the remaining five, four have reached at least one finals this year. The only one to not have reached a finals is, not surprisingly, aLive.

Holy shit this tournament is stacked.

Clearly Alive has to make the finals or win this tournament to round it out.

11, 12 counting Revival. MC, Jaedong, aLive, sOs, and NaNiwa haven't won a tournament yet.

You may predict GSL/WCS KR finals correctly, but you sure as hell can't count.

You also left "out of the remaining four, three" instead of replacing "four, three" with "five, four". Fixing mistakes is hard. t.t

I will be cheering for:

1 - Dear
2 - HerO
3 - Jaedong.
4 - Naniwa.
5 - Duckedock.

In that order.

Dear face TaeJa in Ro16, HerO faces sOs, Jaedong faces Mvp (assuming aLive gets out of his Challenger League group), NaNiwa will probably lose to Revival because Revival is way better than anyone gives him credit for, and duckdeok faces INnoVation. Good luck cheering for them... It seems like they're all facing someone they'd rather not face in the first round. lol

Dear is better than anyone else right now. Taeja can beat any player, of course, but I think that Dear is the favorite no matter who he is facing. MVP has not chances against Jaedong. HerO can beat sOs and his craziness any day, but he's inconsistent (just as sOs) and is pvp, then you never know. Naniwa and Duckedock are pretty much dead, indeed.

What an asshole. You show HerO losing while everyone else is either walking out or celebrating? How about Maru after game 2 against Dear? Come on now. As if the casters and the masses needed anymore ammo to use against the guy. As for Dear. It's a whole new tournament at Blizzcon so let's see how it plays out.

Didn't you notice? Go watch again. Anyway, HerO isn't the only guy who breaks down after taking heavy losses. Several players need moments to collect themselves even if they're about to make epic comebacks like SoulKey. Not only that, the guy doesn't even showcase all the players who will be competing. The point is build some consistency. It's only a minute long. I Would have made it longer showing those moments where players like Soulkey completely turned it around on Innovation and the moment of despair. Show more range; set the back story for Blizzcon. How did each player get there? If you want to move people then move people. Once again, it comes down to consistency when it comes to hype videos. The only thing you made me do is want HerO to win more just so I can shove this video down your throat. Good thing Winter is coming. I honestly hope HerO wins the whole shebang (I won't bet on him, but I still want him to win) or at the very least wins back-to-back-to-back DH Winter's. Just for you buddy. :V

Dear vs. TaeJa - TaeJa vs. Rain season 2 finals. If Maru can take a game off Dear without using Ghosts just imagine what TaeJa can do with his Ghost control.

Jaedong vs. presumably Mvp - Jaedong is borderline slumping. Almost losing a Bo5 to Hack, losing a ZvZ series against anyone, and coming in last in his Season 3 finals group, including a loss to Genius... We expect better from Jaedong. BlizzCon will be the judge of whether he's slumping or not.

HerO vs. sOs - HerO has a long history with sOs... a long history of losing almost every televised game he's played against him (he's 1-4 against him, 0-3 in HotS). HerO lets his emotions get in the way against players he has histories with like this. Don't be surprised if he doesn't show his top form.

Just stating facts. They all seem like they're outmatched here... I'd love for HerO and Jaedong to prove me wrong, though. I'd say the same about Dear but I'd rather not see a million posts on TL about how he's the next Zerg bonjwa winning WCS Korea, Season 3 finals, and BlizzCon in 3 weeks.

Gotta love OPs response to hurt herO fan in last post :D

What is so crazy about this is when I look at the bracket and in my head forsee the possible combination of matchs we might get to witness in the Quarter Finals, Semis and then Finals, it blows my fucking head off. Not one bad comination imo. Will be a hell of a tournament every step of the way!

Almost forgot about that. :V I take back what I said about losing but in terms of flow you could have shown him holding the trophy like the other guys so people who are slow like me figure it out before we lambaste you because I honestly didn't remember him doing that until you mentioned it. Goes back to what I said about continuity. Most people would probably think it's after him losing. I take back the asshole comment, but I still think you could have done a better job.

I'm hoping Revival can repeat what he did to Soulkey at MLG last year... (Crush him in his first series of the tournament). Just to avoid this. :D

Also Revival has the best hat ever, how can you not like his hat?!?

Fair enough points. Nothing to argue. I didn't know about the Hero/sOs background. Surely put more colour to their series!

About the Taeja/Maru comparison, I think that you could give more credit for Maru' choice. Ghosts are great obviously, but his choice to stick to only bio was a strategic play that allowed him to pressure Dear almost nonstop. Its not like Taeja will have Maru play plus ghosts, if you know what I mean.

What is so crazy about this is when I look at the bracket and in my head forsee the possible combination of matchs we might get to witness in the Quarter Finals, Semis and then Finals, it blows my fucking head off. Not one bad comination imo. Will be a hell of a tournament every step of the way!

Doesn't change the fact that the video execution and editing was pretty bad.

It's funny that you mention that. Because I was being fairly objective when watching the video and I watched it twice to reaffirm my views before posting.

An editor who doesn't follow the scene would have said something similar in terms of continuity, substance and cutting. They would think the player lost in the opening without a proper sequence. He did a really short sequence for SoulKey, which really doesn't do justice to him overcoming all odds. I remember that one vividly. I didn't remember the HerO victory too well because like I said, I barely paid attention to it.

They actually did, HerO's twitter background is from the WCS America S1 finals. Season 2 was the one without a trophy.

I feel like Hack is constantly underrated. He's really good, at the moment most likely better than MVP. MVP has a great name, but if you've been following WCS EU you could see that he's not the same anymore.
Jaedong fell out of S3 finals because of losing to MMA, who is - again - probably *way* better than MVP. And JD already had that 2nd game vs MMA, and just threw it away because of tilt (it was 140 vs 50 supply if you didn't see it).

JD is the clear favorite vs MVP imo. He will probably fall out at Ro8 though, again because of tilt. But at ro16 I see him playing his best. Sad for MVP.

In other news, WCS America challenger league groups begin in 44 hours and they're still not released yet... aLive could be in a fucking stacked group (example aLive, Ryung, Alicia, NesTea) and could be Jaedong's opponent instead of Mvp... lol

What an asshole. You show HerO losing while everyone else is either walking out or celebrating? How about Maru after game 2 against Dear? Come on now. thats HerO winning WCS America what do you want me to do I cant help that hes a cry baby in any situation

What is so crazy about this is when I look at the bracket and in my head forsee the possible combination of matchs we might get to witness in the Quarter Finals, Semis and then Finals, it blows my fucking head off. Not one bad comination imo. Will be a hell of a tournament every step of the way!

Nanni Fighting!

Doesn't change the fact that the video execution and editing was pretty bad.

reminder MLG didnt have a trophy for WCS season 1

They had a cheque though did they not?

stop being anal its a video showing the players, and hero being emo goes with his personality and the lyrics of the song same with naniwa at the end him cheering would not have gone well with the pacing of the song, the editing is literally hard cuts going with the beat you cant really criticize something so simple for what it is. HerO shitters are the worst...

Can you define for me what a "HerO shitter" is?

A "HerO shitter" would be a person who is a fan of HerO and consistently likes to post about their opinions of HerO.

well, that is your opinion

i really liked it. straight up, short hype video.

And this only applies to HerO? Or does it work with other players?

Guys help me out I'm still confused. Nani has to play box against revival and the winner goes to grand finals correct? I check liquipedia and it says nani is 16th, 25pts ahead of revival but they're tied in the grid at the same time.

Naniwa is currently 25 points ahead of revival.

However, revival still have his WCS Challenger group to play. If he finishes top 2 of his group, he gains another 25 points which will cause him to tie with Naniwa, on the other hand, if Revival loses(finishes bottom 2) of his group, he will not be going to Blizzcon

the challenger for the next year will give him points now? Seems a bit unfair but ok. Also from the article in liquipedia it follows revival doesn't even need to finish 2nd, 25pts is the minimal amount he can gain. I wonder if he can gain like 30pts so then nani is fucked.

Challenger he has to play is for this current season, not next year
