Both (P)iMLight and (Z)tgun of team immunity have posted blogs on SC2SEA announcing and explaining their respective retirements.
iMlight's retirement blog: http://www.sc2sea.com/blogs/showentry.php?e=1268&catid=3&page=2

tgun's retirement blog: http://www.sc2sea.com/blogs/showentry.php?e=1272&catid=newentries&cutoffdate=30

(Wiki)Tgun
Tgun was known as a member of fxo and part of the squad which ventured into the GSTL during the 2011 GSTL. He had achieved a few victories within the SEA scene most notably finishing 3rd place at WCS Oceania finals falling a map short of qualifying for the 2012 WCS grand finals and had participated in the 2012 Winter Championship where he would unfortunately lose to MC in winner's bracket in the 2nd round and after a brief run fell to the Canadian zerg Mkengyn.

(Wiki)Light (player)
Light was a fairly successful SEA protoss most notably achieving 4th place in both WCS Australia and WCS Oceania finals. He had also attended the 2012 Winter championship with many of his fellow Australians where sadly his run did not last long falling 2nd round to Caliber before being eliminated by stardust.

Glad someone made a thread on here about this. They deserve. Light and tgun were phenomenal players, it's a shame they never really got any international recognition.

Is official, can confirm. I've spoken to him about it quite a lot. I suppose I don't think there was a "I'm retiring yo" blog post, but he's gone.

Sad but not surprising.
It's hard for these SEA players to support themselves. Even Moonglade is having a hard time.

Light supported himself through employment, he didn't play as much as almost anyone else. He's just naturally talented so it's ok. He's quitting cuz he ain't passionate about the game. Mafia's a poker champ so money is never an issue for him (I think, he only tells me about his losses when he's pissed. Which is not often enough).

Which is a shame. Light is definitely on my list of players who are so talented if they'd practiced properly with good support he could of been extremely successful. Also on this list is iceiceice, thank christ he plays dota.

Aus Starcraft is kind of going through a transition where quite a few of the Old Guard have lost their passion and are quitting or not training as hard. Currently there's only one really impressive newer player imo; Petreaus (technically from New Zealand but we fly him over a lot so he's basically australian). Currently I rate myself, Rossi, Glade, PiG, Petreaus, KingKong and maybe Pokerface and Jaz as the best players in the scene (apologies if I've missed someone) and we're head and shoulders above everyone else. Which sucks! It'd be nice to have a tougher scene.

I remember Artosis mentioning him not to long ago as a really strong protoss ... cursed!

Shame we don't get to see more of the Ausies. They seem to have a really strong group of players out there.

Ray (Light) was freakishly good and you can ask the more known SEA players (PiG, Tgun, Iaguz etc) just how scary/frustrating it was to have him in your bracket or group in a tournament. Probably the guy that i feel, if given international chances etc could have challenged the very best. Really looked up to him and he was the main motivation for me to improve, so he wasn't the only Protoss flying the flag in SEA. Unfortunately i was never very good and lost motivation after WCS last year so it was only him alone, going to be weird to not see him in tournaments challenging Iaguz/Rossi + the swarm as the single shining 'Light' (hehe) of Auir.

Also Tgun, i will never forget looking across and seeing you smile and mini fist pump after Neuralling my Mothership and vortexing all my shit in our WCS games > your series vs Tim was the sickest thing i have been around eSports related and you always brought a shit-tonne of passion to tournaments.

Wish the best for the boys, good lads the both of them, but as people said, it's essentially impossible to support yourself as a player in SEA and when all online tournies are at like 4 am (EU/NA etc) and we have 3-4 LAN's a year with tiny prizepools it's hard to stay motivated

It might look like it but the reality is that there are hundreds of progamers or players who are really really good who stop playing, but in a way, this opens up more options for other players to move into the territory.

The skill ceiling is getting higher and higher (like it should) and it is just too discouraging and not feasible for people to only play sc2 all day. Everyone has to feed themselves.

Except Light didn't quit because he was discouraged or lacking in skill. I doubt many foreigners can boast hitting GM on korea whilst working long hours (he did it recently too). From his blog it was more feeling isolated on b.net (many friends had gone inactive) and the lack of money in the Aus scene probably didn't help either.
