Will be funny to see how Demuslim does in his group, there are still people saying that he is the best NA player and a top foreigner. I think he can't beat anyone in that group.

Demu's group looks absolutely doable. To be honest, all four of the players seem to be outside of their peak performances right now, though Crank is doing pretty well. Aligulac in fact predicts TheStC and Demuslim to pass the groups, but the margin is very slim. An even group really.
Oh Group D, why did you have to ruin a potential all-Korean Ro16? >: ( lol

Pretty good groups for jim and macsed, not so much for XY and top though. I think macsed can take jaedong and puck, a bit unsure on snute while I fairly confident on jim vs anyone in that group (Not sold on ryung's TvP still).

Probably 1vs4 and 2vs3 yes, look at the first player, it's always a top 8 from last season.
Group G is my favorite even though there are not the 3 races. I hope we can see a Hero-Scarlett match.
Also TaeJa-Polt will be interesting. We will see if TaeJa decides to throw again. :p

Why do people who do not follow this game post about player skill levels? I have played all but crank recently, and they are all relatively similar in skill with huk slightly>demuslim slightly>stc (imo). Any player could make it out of this group, and to me it seems the most balanced group in skill.
Pretty balanced groups overall too. I think Major has a very high chance to win group A and take out big name players who are not as strong right now but their name alone would make it a huge upset. He is one of the few terrans I have played that actually understands the game and wins off his mechanic and not abusing broken units. Not that one race is better than the others, just that he wins purely off his mechanics and talent. Really hope he shows his true skill here unlike match vs flash.

Seed #1: Ro8 PL last season Seed #2: Winner of CL bracket stage Seed #3: Winner of CL group stage Seed #4: Second place finisher of CL group stage
Match 1. Seed #1 vs. Seed #4 Match 2. Seed #2 vs. Seed #3 Match 3. Winners of these matches will then face each other Match 4. The losers of the initial matches face each other Match 5. The loser of the 3rd match and the winner of the 4th match will face each other

Well I'm curious because the WCS Today groups have Major and Jim switched from OP (which would change the matchups) Taeja and Polt switched (which doesn't change anything), group E is all sorts of switched (yet the matchups wouldn't change from what's in the OP) so idk which is right.
Also holy hell when they said that Jaedong stat I had to look it up myself. I couldn't find one either, that's really impressive. Not as impressive as professor T's 100% winrate but still
EDIT: Well the WCS link has it in the same way as the OP so I'm pretty confused EDIT2: For those that are wondering the ones in the OP are the right order given the seeds
These groups are awesome! I could see non-Chinese foreigners reasonably making it out of groups D, F, G, and H. Who is casting these? Is it NASL or the IPL crew?

Just a heads up, that stat is from Heart of the Swarm on, He had a loss to Symbol in January but that was WOL. Awesome stat found by Andrew.
Ah man Snute and JD in the same group.Really wanted them both to qualify .On the other hand hope that Volet and scarlett do well.God damn all these koreans. If I didnt know better I thought I was watching code A or something
I just wish they were more strict about players playing at the region they're from. Otherwise why even make regional qualifiers with the region name branded onto it? I feel like there should be a North American or Americas resident walking out of the regional finals, a European walking away from the WCS EU regional finals etc
Nice the groups are looking a little bit better for the ro32.
A is the group of death pending Nestea's form. Who the hell knows what that will entail though. He does tend to do better for the online portion at least.
I can only see Demuslim, Scarlett and Snute making it out. NesTea + Ryung Polt + Taeja Alicia + Apocalypse Jaedong + Snute Violet + Revival Alive + Sage HerO + Scarlett Crank + Demuslim
group a - ryung major group b - taeja polt group c - alicia apoc group d - jaedong snute group e - revival violet group f - alive suppy group g - hero scarlett group h - crank demuslim

Group E has 3 Koreans, which gives Group D some "bracket luck" for foreigners.

I agree with all, hope to see scarlett win something major shes an amazing zerg!

Scarlett should be able to beat Oz so there will probably be at least 2 foreigners :/ a couple of upsets wouldn't be out of the question, though. There was some crazy shit going on in the challenger bracket stage so who knows

You rate Huk above Demuslim? k then
I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure recent results also say that HuK is rated above Demuslim? I would rate HuK over Demuslim though. My mind could be changed depending on this group. I'm really interested to see how this pans out!
I really hate Group A and B though. Still hoping Jim and MajOr make it out of group A. I can always hope!!
Fuck groups of death! I like this tournament, lets give everyone a brutal choice, but also, I don't see that many patsys even from the international side, the USA has a chance at 1 or 2 upsets I think!
Group A is so sad... Nestea and Ryung are my first and third favorite players respectively. Major is one of my favorite foreigners and Jim is supposed to be really good.
Moonglade probably won't mind that group so much. Only has to practice the one matchup and it is his best. I reckon Taeja and Glade will come out ahead of Polt

Yes, I rate HuK higher than Demuslim. I don't particularly like HuK but he is a winner, or at least was at a point of his career. Demuslim is not or never was a winner.

HuK is always underestimated, especially here on TL (may because he left to EG...)
HuK was best foreigner (together with a player from China) at one of the last MLG´s, he 3-0ed Babyknight at MLGs 2013 Exhibition and made it to the playoffs of Dreamhack Stockholm beating Sjow 3-0 Dayshi 2-0 beats Grubby, Snuff and Polt without losing a map and falls to gumiho at the end, what coukd happen to every player on the planet.
Not to forget: He made ist through Up&Downs at 2013 GSL Season 1, beating Flying, Center and Fantasy!
He is not top 3 in ANY way, but a decent player that can make everything possible in a foreigner bracket...

Actually I've seen him beat all 3 of those players more than he's lost to them. The only way he doesn't make it out is build order losses or a choke.

I was with you for the first sentence; ok with the second; happily agreeing with the third; and then utterly confused by the forth.
i like jim's play, but he's not good enough to take it all.

That's a good point (though WCS US isn't actually "live" right now as it's a rebroadcast). Given all precedents it should be featured under "Other Notable Streams".

It's not live right now. They're showing a rebroadcast of the challenger qualifiers right now. TL doesn't like to add rebroadcasts to the calendar or featured streams section for some reason.

They do feature rebroadcasts under "Other Notable Streams", and have been doing so for quite a while. MLG is featured there right friggin' now. So it is an issue that WCS AM is not also featured.
what is liquipedia's source for that though? i've looked at the WCS website and it all says TBA. i know that last season they played it completely out of order too to accommodate for player schedules.

Yeah, that's too linear to make sense. WCS website confirms that. Probably some good samaritan thought they were doing a service over at LP and assumed too much D:
