While I dont agree completely with dTox I must say that attitude of QueenE really surprised me. Everyone is different and has her/his own ways of dealing with viewers but its important to point out that there is more and more streamers these days and to get someone to tune in it takes some originality.

I was really keen to watch her play but that attitude :/ Telling viewers off for giving tips and advices was jaw dropping. Unless you are MLG, WCS etc etc champion you can refuse people to help you but she isnt even GM. Surely there are more polite ways to tell people that tips are not welcome than raging.

It takes little bit more than the fact QueenE is a female protoss to get people to tune in. Interacting with viewers in polite manner along with innovative play is far more important than the sex of a streamer. If people dont mind that attidude and prefer to watch her not her gameplay then maybe it is a new way of playing starcraft?

I wish people could atleast try to understand what it means to have aspergers/autism instead of telling me how incorrect and rude I am socially.

Then again, having asperger is no reason to be bm ( even though allot of people (Inc. you) with aspergers hide behind the fact that they have asperger and that its a golden ticket to just say everything.
And i actually understand what asperger is ,since i have been working with someone for two years who had it aswell

Then you clearly haven't been with one with the syndrome that lacks the filter of saying stuff straight out to and about people without thinking about how it may come off to others because of lack of empathy.
Telling an autist how they SHOULD act socially if like telling a legless person that they SHOULD run. It's biologically impossible to just "do" it but with training, time and prosthetics the legless person might get to something similar to running. In the same way autists can understand theoretically why they should act in a specific social manner but not naturally be able to do it.

I wish we could switch brains for a while so you could experience what living with aspergers/autism is REALLY like instead of that nice illusion of yours where everyone with this handicap is just pretending have it to be able to say fuck all.

Well I think a lot of people can understand if someone with a disease like Tourette's for example keeps yelling rude things to them but still they can get offended by it. I guess my point is that having some disease is a good excuse but it doesn't stop other people getting offended. Perhaps if your 'disease' makes you angry and not pleasant person to watch on stream, perhaps you maybe just should not stream?

Anyways, congrats for your new team. Hopefully you have a very successful career in SC2. SC2 needs more good female players.

Then people should, much like in the tourettes case, learn to understand that most of the things that comes out of the persons mouth is not meant as harmful. It's only a lack of empathy combined with not being able to really see if something you say to or about someone might sound hurtful or rude.

They are very much entitled to feel hurt, but they should at the same time keep in mind it's not hurtful intentionally.

Perhaps you should add a note on your stream page so that people will know that you have Asperger? After all, if people are unaware of it, it's no wonder if they think you're rude. A small note saying something like "I have Asperger, so I usually say exactly what I mean, be warned" or something like that should suffice (if that is they way you talk, of course. I only know one girl with Asperger and she often does that, so I'm guessing you might do it, too. If I'm wrong, just disregard what I wrote). In my experience, neuro-typical people have an easier time accepting atypical behaviour if they (we) have a "reason" for it. It's not the way it should be, I guess, but it's the way it is, so it may help to avoid misunderstanding on your stream.

If you don't feel comfortable telling everyone who visits your stream that you have Asperger, then no need to include that of course, but since you brought it up yourself, I'm guessing you're pretty comfortable about it, so that's why I suggested it You could just say that you say what you mean without mentioning Asperger at all, I guess, if that's preferable.

I like that idea, thank you for the suggestion!
I didn't think of it, since to me it's so obvious that I don't really understand that people doesn't think it's as obvious as I do.

Need to formulate a warning label asap to put on my stream!

She is primarily to be an object of desire, a money mule, just a giant publicity stunt. MYinsanity knows she wont ever be a good starcraft player. They just need something after a win they just had to make people notice them again,
the assumption that one HAS a first, middle, and last name is a western-centric view that is archaic and insulting

We live in a damn wonderful world if accidentally hurting someones feelings slightly is such a problem that deserves a few pages of discussion. If you stream and a at least a few hundred different people from different countries with different cultural backgrounds and different past experiences watch you, you are bound to offend at least someone every time you speak. Unless you speak in extremely polite manner without saying anything meaningful, interesting, important. My humble advise to QueenE is, do not care much. As long as you are not trying to offend anyone on purpose, talk whatever you want. Time for some hypersensitive people to realize their feelings are not sacred and by no means above the freedom of speech, especially if the person talking doesn't even intend to offend you.

What's wrong with females getting more attention when they join a team? There are so few of them in this community; it is quite natural that they get noticed more. All this hate is rather disheartening. If all you see in this thread is "just another masters player joining a team" then I could quite understand ignoring it, why so much bile? This will only discourage other aspiring female players.

There's too much negativity in this community, really. It's not just when a female joins some team, it's also when some less known team posts something, people seem to have a habit of belittling these guys. I mean, this is how we appreciate StarCraft? By all this nonsensial hate? Not everyone has the chance to be the uber top player, but there are equally passionate people, who wish to at least do what they love. The middle-ground teams & players, so to speak; semi-pros, whatever you will to call them. Without these and passionate fans, there would be no professional StarCraft, full of renown names, who get paid for what they do. Sad, that some people fail to realize that & have to act like bunch of douches... or cavemen.

I hope to live to the day, when instead of hating, we appreciate & love the game and people around it.

It's more that these little teams recruit minor BM/female players, then blow it up on TL/Reddit in the hope of attracting pageviews/streamviews. This time, mYi just happen to have hit both the minor BM player and minor female player aspect. The main problem is that any criticisms of players like these are brushed off as "not their fault" or "just because they're female/whatever other excuse they want to use".

I have not been saying that everyone uses it as an excuse but the people i have witnessed in his direct circle there were allot of them who found it easy when they felt like they did something wrong to hide behind it.
Besides the fact that i never told you how you should act ( nor do i care how you act since i nominated myself for biggest douche in the universe)

Also i fully understand its not understandable for me and it's insanely hard to be able to work with someone who has asperger.
However you need to understand that we won't ( for the most of us) understand.

yeah because so many people said that QueenE being a female excuses her for bm... what?

wtf does blowing up on reddit mean
they make a TL thread, they make a reddit thread.
If people upvote the reddit thread, thats in the redditors hands
if people, like yourself, keep on bumping the TL thread, that is their (and your) choice as well.
I dont see anyone from mYi bumping this TL thread, its just people coming in to attack her, or queene or others arguing against those people.

She's amazingly dedicated and has talent, she surely deserves to be on mYinsanity and I congratulate her for this. I say in order to encourage female players to get into this esport thingy, to be accepted (although the very toxic community towards females) into this community we have going on, we must create other female players into being a rolemodel for female players out there.

You know, someone to look up to. If you had the slightest idea of how many females approaching maddelisk and queene saying "Hey, I got into this thanks to you, you're an inspiration to me to keep being better" you'd understand. If you think it's unfair the some female players gets better contracts than your very talented mid-master skills then tough life. Life is not fair. But of course, if we wanna keep this scene male dominated let's keep being narrow minded and toxic against these kinds of signings. Sigh.

It's called PR! Teams make announcements all the time. Every team is allowed to do so and should do it. It creates content for the scene and creates attention for the team and its sponsors.

Also, I have my problems with classifying mYinsanity as a small team (not that it would matter as stated above). They support a team house in the middle of Europe. That alone makes them a big player in Europe.

All this negativity surrounding autism and aspergers syndrome. Despite the obvious hardships that come with such a diagnosis it also has its positive aspects, for example i reckon it should be beneficiary rather than the opposite when playing SC2, but hey that's just my view

People are butthurt because she got boobs and they believe thats the only reason she can make it into a team like mYi. Personally, I believe she's not a top player and obviously there's marketing to it, but she does play the game, seems to be passionate and I personally don't have a problem with her being on mYi.

People are probably jealous or dumb, maybe both. I can understand that some people feel like its easier to get on a proteam as girl even though you don't have the skills you would need as a male and I would agree there, but if you think about being a female, I'm pretty sure she does her best to improve and its not really fair towards her to call her out on mYi recruiting her.

I really dislike her... she is acting very douchy in this thread, also she is a midmaster player which is barely worth mentioning. In my opinion just another player we won't hear anything of ever besides the obvious knockout in Round 1 / 2 but let's see.

Just out of curiousity, do you believe high master or grandmaster besides top 16 / top 32 (or those that can potentially be there, but focus more on customs) are worth mentioning? Its about ambition, its about aims and goals. Not every person can be a high grandmaster or high master.

Really I don't want to white knight her, because she's a girl but a Starcraft player. I've never watched her stream and I couldn't care less if she is douchy or not (the replies I read here didn't come off as douchy) but in what world is there a reason to bring hate to this thread. (Last part not especially towards you, but I could name hundrets of players on good teams that are nothing but a round 1 k/O)

My opinion is that the discussion should be elsewhere. Someone should go make a QueenE fan/hate page or something and take their discussions over there, because you're not talking about the news.
