We're proud and happy to have been serving the eSports community for a year now. We'd like to thank everyone for their support over that time, and leave you with a video from this weekend's birthday party:
So happy that London seems to have a lively SC2 scene, especially since I'll be starting my study in September! Will definitely visit when I have time ;D
Then, I was wondering how Meltdown worked. Ashiara founded the first one in Paris, but then, is it a company which open subsidiaries ? What are the details ?
Weekly tournaments for each of the major eSports titles (Starcraft 2, LoL, DOTA2, Street FIghter 4 etc.)
SFIV and other such games are not eSports titles. Their companies make damn sure of it, as they openly oppose eSports (namely Capcom). But it's great to have tournaments with those games in it too.
Overall this is amazing. I really wish we had something awesome like this where I lived. We are so lame =P Cheers to your new eSports lounge!
Ahhh need a meltdown in EVERY CITY :O If you open one up in america soon I will literally go out of my way to go to college in whatever city in the US you open it in. :D
I'm so happy for London! I can't imagine how cool it would be if that happened in my town. Now for god's sake can we please get some fun in Norway now? Seriously considering moving out of this communist country! :D
damn, I'm gonna be in the south of England in end of June, and was going to fly back from London, but then changed to Bournemouth because it was cheaper...and now I'm going to miss out an opportunity to visit.
This is so damn awesome, I wish I could go there I would be there all day every day lol. Kinda clueless as to why they had Stephano and other gamer shirtless though , is it really melting hot in there? :-P
How did everyone find the opening? I just posted a review on my blog. It wasn't particularly positive.
When the bar finally opened they were not ready to deal with the crush for orders, the bar staff were plainly exhausted - I assume from the crunch time pre opening - and poorly organised. My friends and I stayed about 2 hours and when we left the queue for drinks had barely shrunk.
I do wish I'd been with more enthusiastic SC2 nerd though. If I had I would have stayed longer... Maybe things got better?
There were a few issues on the opening night and I apologise to anyone who was frustrated, but generally the turn out and atmosphere were amazing and really encouraging for the state of UK eSports.
All our technical problems have now been resolved, and tonight should be a far smoother experience when we run our first weekly Starcraft tournament! We have some great prizes to give away, and you can sign up here:

Hey, we all know the FGC doesn't like the name but is happy to have tournaments nonetheless.
