I see no mention of the fact that this is only a hardware sponsor by anyone in this thread everyone just seems to be talking about more money for IM. Someone tell me if im wrong, but doesnt hardware sponsor entail only giving hardware and not cash. If so its a bit of a bullshit sandwich to be honest, well sort of its basically a really cheap way to sponsor a team , i mean i fully support kingstons involvement in esports, but in all fairness im sure IM's computers ran HOTS just fine before this sponsorship and they will probably receive very little benefit beyond quicker boot up times from the SSD and better multitasking from the Ram , although i guess it could help with streaming, im sure their computers where well enough equipped before this sponsorship though. Also its not like the hardware is going to have any correlation with them getting better results in tournaments its not like a keyboard or mouse sponsor where they actually use your product in tournaments, its just for their practice computers so they wont see any "benefit" from kingston products in tournaments anyways. Unless their computers where really bad that benefit seems pretty negligible even for their practice computers and most of the benefit they would receive would have very little to do with actually playing the game and more to do with making the computer faster for other activities on the computer , especially considering how many players play on the lowest possible settings. I totally get why teams accept hardware sponsorships i mean free stuff for a small logo on a t-shirt, hell yea there is no reason to say no really and it basically costs the sponsor nothing, i mean its basically just 1 shipment of ssd's and ram maybe once a year or so. anyways if someone could clarify the meaning of hardware sponsorship to mean something more than just sending a box with some of the company's products in it let me know. Edit: I guess they could sell the hardware though for some cash, especially if they are getting the really expensive ssd's lol. | ||
