Today, we are proud to announce a new merger between three parties that will aim to create something greater than any of us are able to on our own. It's Gosu eSports, Team 4Nothing, and Mark Ferraz of Quantic Gaming are proud to present: Quantic Reborn.
This project has been a result of long discussion and negotiation on what these parties can bring to the table, so rest assured - this has been carefully thought through and will not meet the same fate as the original Quantic Gaming organization. It's Gosu, 4NOT, and Mark all have a lot of faith in this project, and we are well on our way to doing big things. The merger will create four squads under the Quantic banner: A StarCraft 2 team, created by the best of the former members of It's Gosu and 4NOT (along with a pair of new recruits in the former TSL_HyuN and TSL_Center), a StarCraft 2 academy formed by those currently not fit for the A-team for a variety of reasons (activity, accomplishment, etc), and a Call of Duty team and Counter Strike: Global Offensive team both contributed by 4NOT.

I like Zombie Quantic better, but still a good team. With Center and Hyun, they're already a top four foreign team. HwangSin also is pretty underrated.

If HyuN gets back on form, and Center lives up to the hype, they can potentially have two Code S players, which leaves them somewhat competitive with Liquid. I have high hopes for this team because they can help HyuN attend more tournaments, and improve Center.
As to the questions about Illusion - the players aren't really coming from the old Quantic, they may be under consideration for the future, but they would have to be re-signed.

On another note, the sponsors don't link to their websites properly, IE the alienware logo links to http://www.quanticgaming.com/www.alienware.com, which is a 404. PS: should totally have easy links to sponsors fb/twitter pages under their logos for lazy nerds.

Interesting the to see the lack of ex-quantic players, except MB & Apoc, both of whom recently signed with itsGosu anyway.
Also no razer logo on the site, though razer sponsored and were very supportive of quantic & ex-quantic players, as well as sponsoring itsGosu, wonder why they're gone.
The merger was primarily done by It's Gosu and 4NOT players/management, with Quantic management also involved. Quantic had already been dissolved as a team prior to this coming into discussion, so any former Quantic players would need to be re-signed as members of the new team. There were some discussions had with former Quantic members, but we did not come to an agreement with any as of yet.

I really liked Quantic as a team, but I really could care less about the new roster. The previous members Theo, Illusion, Sase are reasons why I liked Quantic.
Damn, this year started off really bleak and gloomy with people leaving teams left and right as well as retirements and teams disbanding, but now its all shaping up to be great, new teams rose to take the place of the old ones and players found new teams to join. The only real loss is those players that retired, it will take a while to see the next generation grow.

He's very knowledgeable, very enthusiastic and active, has a ton of fans/followers already, and is a former Quantic player. He may not be at Stephano-level Zerg, and he DOES have a bit of a potty mouth, but he'd be an EXCELLENT addition to the team!
So glad to head Quantic is back, they were one of my favourite foreign teams, and now with Center and Hyun they are looking really strong. Get Sase back and it will be perfect!
Only thing I have a problem with is Hwangsin getting Captain. I feel it should be someone else, like Hyun or even Ostojiy. Hwangsin feels out of place in that lineup and most of the other players are a bit more deserving of the title of captain.

usually, the top players are not assigned the role of team captain as it takes away time from practice. thus, the honor is usually given to older players that are past their zenith anyway...

The captain of a team is not necessarily the best player on the team - skill doesn't determine the captain. What determines the captain is the trust his teammates put in him and the leadership qualities that he posses.

Let me just say a few words about fucking HwangSin because this is disgusting and uninformed.
"Out of place" by what means? HwangSin has been the biggest team player that I have ever seen from ANY korean player on a foreign team. He works so hard, always tries to talk with his teammates, always has something nice to say for everyone and is really active on Skype. His first words back after a Top 8 performance at MLG were "hey Nick, should I be coach so I can help my team more?" HwangSin's English has improved so much and he has taken the opportunity of being on a foreign team so well and made an amazing atmosphere for all of us here at It's Gosu (now Quantic). No one is more deserving than HwangSin and I am so proud to see him rise and have success.

I totally agree with this.
In multi-national team, it's important that captain/manager can communicate with both sides, and know their places.
Hwangsin is best fit for captain to help the team perform the best.

Hwangsin will be fantastic. I lived with him for several months and the choice of him as team captain makes sense because he can speak both Korean and English pretty damn well.
Very happy for Centre and Quantic. Any Korean Terran is always most welcome and appreciated in the foreign scene. Cant wait to see him in all the big tournaments this year!

I mean out of place meaning that he feels rather out of place among the other Korean players Center and Hyun, maybe it is because Center and Hyun are both insanely good, whereas Hwangsin (no offense to him at all) isn't at the same caliber. Maybe it is because of my own Bias towards the TSL players (I have met both Hyun and center many times in person).
In saying that though I feel that a captain should be chosen based on experience and pure knowledge of how to work with a team, hence why someone like Hyun would be a good person for captain. Hyun has been a progamer for about 8 years now. so he knows how to work with a team and has experience in what it means to be a captain. Plus from personal experience Hyun does have good english.
A perfect example of this would have been the old Quantic, SaSe was their Captain because he had years of experience behind him, having moved to china to play war 3 professionally, SaSe had knowledge to pass on to the younger players.
It is nothing against hwangsin, he is a good player.
Great news! I've always been a fan of Pokebunny since I could relate to him, since he was young, attending school and at the same time striving in a game where the competitive scene is harsh.

Shouldn't be called Quantic imo. I understand that that the owner/founder of Quantic is part of this. But why the fuck would you just copy the name of your last failed team? Especially when you dont have a single 'good' person from the old roster.
Im really not excited about this. Kinda feel sad that Hyun and Center are gonna be part of this team. The rest of the roster is lackluster. How do you expect to keep this team up and running if you couldn't do it with a far better marketable team that you had in the previous roster?

As has been said many, many times before Hwangsin is captain because he cares so much about the players and helping them. As Pokebunny said, after he came top 8 MLG Dallas he went up to Pokebunny (I think it was) and said that now he could coach the players. Even if he is not the best player on the team, he's still a fantastic captain.

Sorry if this has been answered, but how do you define foreign Fionn? Is it foreign owned, because if so I'd say FXO and Liquid are obviously ahead of Quantic Reborn, and EG and Axiom are both I'd say in the same league as them. I mean, in a proleague style match I'm not sure I'd put Quantic reborn as a sure favorite against any of those four teams. Personal opinion though, and that's without any in depth looking into the players on all of those teams, just first glance.

Hwangsin is my favorite Protoss player, and I get most of my builds from him. He is incredibly creative. I don't mind that people think he is cheesy. He should be proud of it. All-ins take skill to execute and come up with, take a look at the people who won GSL finals with Protoss (MC vs Rain and July, Seed vs MC) they used a lot of all-ins in the their finals victories, there is nothing wrong with them. I'm glad he is the captain.
What happened to WBC, by the way? That mofo took a game of MKP at MLG, and was closing to sending him down to the Loser Bracket... sad to see him not on the roster.

iirc the investor's pulled from Quantic in the first place, which is why they disbanded in December.

wow did not know Hiko Semphis and Dazed joined 4Not and then Quantic....I just remember them winning ESWC NA for Area 51 and then getting 3rd overall in ESWC...Glad they are doing well!!

You know, I can see why people want Flo on the roster--after all, QuanticFlo was the new barcode for a few months there; it's just an iconic name. And I can't say it's strictly a gender thing either, as MaddeLisk has flown relatively under the radar. Flo is just popular, and a lot of people mentally associate her with Quantic.
People calling for Illusion, on the other hand, have me a little baffled. He was decent, but far from old quantic's best player or even the best Terran on old Quantic (that would go to TheSTC, followed by Apocalypse, and then theognis and Illusion can fight over being third best Terran on old-quantic).
But really...thought experiment: add Illusion to new-Quantic, then pretend you're the coach and choosing who to field in team leagues. Do you field Illusion?

HyuN, Center, and HwangSin are are skilled, and ditto for those that stated HwangSin is underrated.
As a LagTV fan, kudos to MaximusBlack for finding his place yet again. Looking forward to the bouse come out of the Academy.
Quantic is looking better than ever, this somewhat settles my longstanding concerns with their management / income / stability / growth opportunities. Hopefully we get to see some CS:GO success out of them... and I've my doubts that the CoD team will ever pay for itself, not due to lack of skill or talent but due to lack of a scene.
Just keep up the community relations and we'll all look forward to what comes of this merger.

1 Don't depend fully on one sponsor. 2 Don't over-inflate your roster with too many players.

That Quantic gaming house must've been a money sink that generated no real benefits. Why did they establish one? To keep up with the Joneses? Ultimately, this is really a matter of (mis)management.

Illusion was/is one of the Top 5 NA players, for sure.
Is he the greatest foreigner in the world? No. But he IS one of the better foreign Terrans, and (imo) the best NA Terran hands-down.
