My favorite show! I can't wait till they move in to the bigger studio and produce more and more content. Whoever likes this should also watch the GD couch at Dreamhack summer (?). 2-3 days of 10 hour shows with 2GD talking with random esports people. That was my introduction to all of this, I was hooked instantly.

That's what i mean! The shows are very good quality as always but their just seems to be only The Gd show which has been kind of random? Maybe it was because it was the holidays or i'm busy but that's the feeling i get.

Yeah, the amount of content has dropped a bit. But there's a lot been going on behind the scenes. The GD Show is always there tho for you weekly entertainment and drama discussion/creation.
I freaking love this show. 11am is early for me to wake up but meh. I'm usually up all night when I tune it which adds to making it so awesome I bet. lol Good content and variety of topics on eSports, not just sc2. It's cool hearing the business side of things and 2GDs responses are always hilarious. Keep up the great work, guys! Ill be watching tomorrow. Can't wait.

The best content has been stuff like "Finding Semmler", Dreamhack aftershows when they talk about what they did at parties etc, and streams of the gang playing Diablo 3 and Dota 2. Oh, also the showmatch between Apollo and Semmler. We need more stuff like that! Loved the stream of the dota staff cup the other day, so that was good.
Also wish they'd utilised singsing a bit more, seeing as he's stayed at their house for two (?) months now.

i'm fairly sure if EG wasnt paying incontrol he wouldnt be producing 'hilarious' content for them. I like to think that innovators in game-play and strat, do more for the scene, than someone with no particular talent promoting himself and his sponsors

That's true too. I'm just assuming (though likely wrong ><) that he's taking offense to people telling him how to conduct himself around friends...which is one angle to construe this. Anyhow, I'm gonna refrain from commenting anymore, this whole thing's going to blow over in a week if that.
Best show ever and the only show I care to watch anymore e-sports related. Though, I wish there was a poll for what the community rated as the best episode, since I'm not sure if I've seen every episode or not and wouldn't want to miss out. Youtube views for the other shows is a pretty good indicator for this that this show lacks.
The "I don't know what the fuck we're doing here" parts are always awesome. Kinda sad that the SCII discussion was almost nonexistent, but can't really help it when Apollo isn't there. It takes 2 people to discuss and all.

Day9 is not an analytical caster, that is why. And as you say, hes not as good on the other side either.

This is a very interesting post considering what you say about Adebisi and then your fanboyism for Day9.
And no, he's not top 2 caster. He may not be a play-by-play shoutcaster but he's still way below iNcontroL, IdrA, Apollo, Grubby, ToD, Axslav in terms of analysis and practical knowledge of the game. (although he does understand game *theory* well)
Sick Life going to DH now and that will single handily get me interested in watching this DH. Life needs to collect all these foreign wcs points! First at DH, then at MLG and then he'll be sitting pretty for a spot at blizzcon despite him going out early in the first season of wcs. Go Life!!!!

It's a very subjective "observation". I don't feel any dislike at all and you seem quite happy to shit on him after criticizing him for "bashing people" - although you didn't even get the tiny bit of success before that !
My opinion is that he does a good job at keeping the show interesting and I think most of the things he says are valid, even if you perceive them as bashing.

I still find it laughable that people don't think Day9 is an analytical caster. Yeah he is, the main problem is if you're gonna be a beta as hell co-caster and let him walk all over you or you're a tournament producer who makes a dumb decision about which casting duos to use, then Day9 is gonna do what Day9 does, which is take control of the situation and lead. That's actually a problem because it's not his strength. His play-by-play is nowhere near as good as his actual analysis and yet he isn't able to do that in some casting duos because the other guy can't carry the play-by-play. Day9 will then try and compensate for that by "upping" his entertainment value and that's when it feels forced. Day9 is actually hilarious if he's relaxed and comfortable in his role and knows his co-commentator can keep up with him and stick to their role, the stuff that people complain about with him is when he has to stray into play-by-play rather than sticking with the analysis.
DJWheat is one of the only casters that can actually keep him in check and his experience shows there. Inexperienced casters are often terrible with Day9, analysts are pretty bad with him too. Put a really good play-by-play with him and you'll get a really entertaining and informative show. Fuck the guy does a strategy show every day, was a former pro-player and plays the game more than most. If you're not asking him questions during a cast to give him time to do analysis then making sure to strongly take the hand-off as you go into the play-by-play then you're just not very good at co-casting. Dealing with someone like that who has such a strong personality takes a set of skills all of its own.
Anyway, point is, Day9 is an analyst and when he's allowed to actually analyse, he's damn good. Put him in a role where he has to carry the whole show because the other guy can't hack it on the presentation side of things and that's when some people start to find his casting irritating.
You'd think a 'big name caster' such as day9 should be able to make co-caster demands though, so he can get himself into a good casting duo like you describe.
