Parting isn't an elephant... If anything, he's a freaking mammoth.

Not that there is anything more wrong with that but it just feels a little bit worse. As a huge Parting fan, I've got mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I feel that Startale made him what he is right now, and I find it difficult to imagine him without Startale, or Startale with Parting. On the other hand, I think this is great for him. The KeSPA training regimen could potentially make him even better, and it could, potentially (at least in Winners League) bring a team from the bottom of the table up to the upper half. Another thing to note is that Koreans transferring to foreign teams tend to fall off after a while; and I would never want that to happen to a guy like Parting. With him going to a KeSPA team, at least it's almost guaranteed that we'll see him play on a very regular basis, though maybe not in many foreign tournaments, which he didn't really go to anyway.

I just hope it is a good team he joins and they give him freedom to join those foreign tournaments, as WCS and WCG champion, quite arguably he is the champion of 2011, he needs to be defending some high profile titles!!

It's like throwing the lion in the pit with tiger cubs and expecting the cubs to win. Kespa players are very good. This season of Proleague has shown some really nice games. It's really unfair and biased to assume that Parting would be so much better than the Kespa players when he's lost to multiple Kespa players before. He's the WCS world champion. He recently won a few other minor events (WCG) and is on form at the moment. Parting is so much better than almost all players, Kespa or not. All the top Koreans are basically around the same level. Literally no one, not even 2011 MVP, has demonstrated actual complete dominance for extended periods of time. Every single player has had their ups and downs. Players appear, vanish, and reappear in the span of months. Parting might do well in Proleague, but there's no guarantee that he would dominate like "lions among tiger cubs." I don't think anyone is trying to say he will never lose a game, but you're ignorant if you think players haven't shown " dominance " at points during sc2. There are lots of cases of dominance. 2011 GSL January Mvp. GSL May & July Nestea where he won one of the seasons without losing a single game. Mvp from July 2011 to December 2011. MMA from GSL Oct to Blizzard Cup. Squirtle at IPL4 and 2012 GSL S2. Marineking in early 2012 with his back to back MLG wins in the winter season. DRG in early/mid 2012, winning a GSL, two MLG's and getting second place in two MLG's. Leenock in late 2012 winning a MLG, getting second in another MLG, and winning IPL5. And most recently Life winning two GSL's and an MLG in the span of two months, and Parting at BWC, WCG then Blizzard Cup taking 2 golds and a silver in three premier tournaments in about a month span, also winning the MLG tournament of champions. Right now Parting and Life are on the top of the world, they are " dominating ". They might all be near the same " skill level " but all of them but a select few are missing the qualities needed to become a multiple champion and perform in high stakes situations. Mvp is known for winning just because he's Mvp, despite not being at the top of the " skill " level. If Parting can keep his form he will be the best player in Proleague and have the best record when he starts playing in round 4, assuming he adjusts to HOTS well. I said extended periods of time. For all of the examples you gave, except January 2011 MVP, all of the players looked incredibly mortal in their successful runs. Even if they did not lose very much or not lose at all, many games looked incredibly close and had outcomes which could be ascribed to luck. Despite all that, as I've stated earlier, even the best players performing at their absolute best dip up and down. No one has been consistently dominant in SC2 so far. At any given moment, the "rank ten" player or even "rank twenty" player could knock out the "top three" player in any given situation. It has happened over and over again.

Like in NBA draft, you enter the draft with some kind of guaranteed contract if you get picked, but teams choose you, you can't choose team. IMO, KeSPA always copies NBA style.

If there was one player who would be chosen to a new team by fucking random drawing and make it into some gigantic event it would be him. If we had more Partings in SC2, then I don't care how shit the balance is, the game would be the #1 e-sport. I really hope he goes to Soul for a few reasons. A) It would be fate and give us tons of puns. B) They need a face to the franchise. Hwasin was their face - with the fangirls at least - but then he turned out to be a cheater. Calm and Kal are both retired and never had the same impact as other aces. Not saying Bogus isn't good, but he doesn't bring in the fangirls. C) Parity. Team 8 could also use Parting, but seeing as they're sponsored by KeSPA, it would open a can of worms if the KeSPA team somehow got one of the best players in the world.
