![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/hyAWK.png) UPDATE: MajOr called us today and told us, that he got a fever and in general very sick, which is why he won't attend at the HomeStoryCup VI powered by XMG. His replacement will be Harstem from the Netherlands, who is currently playing for fnatic
English source: http://taketv.net/news/homestorycup-vi-powered-by-xmg-14-12-12-15725 (on the bottom)
MajOr had qualified through the NA qualifier.

What horrible luck, Juan gets ill just before IPL5 and now HSC6. I really want to see MajOr at HSC, but there will be other tournaments Hope he recovers quickly.
|
They probably replaced him with a European player because it takes a while to get a visa and book flights. Hard to do in less than a week.

The weird thing is that in a recent SotG ToD(i think it was him) said that Illness will be the new "My Dog ate my Homework", meaning that a lot of cases of people forfeiting due to illness is just a cover up for something else (allegedly). Also it was Mentioned that he(MajOr) has a history with not attending tournaments °_°. I am not starting a conspiracy theory here or something it just is strange...
Either way I believe that MajOr would not miss this opportunity if he was not really sick, so I guess this post is utter nonsense. (Why did I make this then?)
Damn it! I wanted to see a Terran win this thing ;<
|
HSC6 is starting 1d11h from now, so I think they had to get someone from nearby to replace him.
|
Too bad

Noooooooo, I was really hoping to see Major play =(

oh god year, didnt think about that (me stupid), ill edit my stupidness out of the OP.

He's got a fever, and the only prescription is signing with a KeSPA team.
|
Awww I would've liked to see my fav foreign terran @ HSC6 Gl to Harstem ~
|
Awwww, man. Kind of makes you wonder if there's something more going on as far as sickness goes with Major...
HSC is such a great breakout tournament, too. So much opportunity to spread your image to fans there.
|
Damn, wanted to see Major at this. Goodluck Harstem.
|
0 NA players there, gonna take away from the viewer numbers ;/
|
There goes another Terran
|
Good for Harstem, but I see his chances slim to none
|
Well, it is an online tournament.

That sucks... love watching MajOr's play.

no they didn't, but understandable based on how close it is to the actual tournament. no way for major to have gotten sick earlier lol
|
Would he have payed for his plane ticket himself?
|
Dang that sucks.. Major prob 2nd best Terran in the lineup. Well I haven't heard much from Kas lately so who knows.

no, travel was included

Damn that sucks, the only NA player and the terran I looked forward to the most. Take was also really happy that Major qualified . Get well soon Major!

is he sponsored? if not then it's quite tough to go through with the travel costs etc

he won a qualifier he got everything sponsored hotel, flight etc.
|
Why not give spot to other finalist in na qualifier? Nvm, probably because of scheduling
Too bad about major

Feel better Major, it would have been awesome to see him play.

Man. Major. I hope he has a speedy recover- I'm sick right now too... but man I love hoping for this guy.
|
Did no one listen to the koreans when they were telling their fans not to get sick
Shame still, at the worst possible time also. Wish you the best of luck major and a speedy recovery.

Can´t wait for him to finally play a tournament... :/

Awww i'm bummed. He was one of the guys i was most looking forward to seeing in the HSC environment.
Sucks for Kane, i too didn't realise it was so soon. Ahh! >_<

This is sad, I was really looking forward to MajOr casting or doing interviews. He is hilarious when he is in the spotlight.

no one would make excuses for HSC lol. low stress, high entertainment.
too bad
|
Shame for Major, good opportunity for Harstem! Loved watching him and Stephano dancing off at Numericable Cup. He is a good laugh and should add some extra fun to the HSC House.
|
Poor Juan I especially feel bad for him because his spot was awarded through qualification, rather than just an invitation. He worked hard and now he can't make it due to illness. Hopefully he gets better and can play in more tournaments soon!
|
He should have just gone as a nice paid vacation =\. Game integrity and all that jazz aside, HSC is much more about the atmosphere and a lot of the invitees have zero shot of winning (but are awesome personalities).

Though Major was the person i was looking forward to the most, he hasreplaced by a dutch guy. So its a less of a loss.

Is there any reason why Tarson won't play? Would think that it he would've been the easiest replacement since he's going to be there anyway.

Actually I remember seeing on a stream (TLO?) a comment about you can't fly if you have fever or something bad happens. I just wished to remember.... Anyone knows this?

I can't imagine many things worse to do when ill than flying, especially a long haul flight rather than a short one. Bear in mind at the end of the flight he would then have to try and play Starcraft against Koreans, he can't just sit around and relax.

noooo zzzzz, MajOr is one of the reason I'm really excited about HSC! Get well soon anyway MajOr!

It is HSC for me this is the annual regain faith in esports tournament. You actually get to see the players having fun, instead of MLG, IPL style seriousness. Remember MC dancing and casting? That is at least why I tune in, not really for one specific player though I am looking forward to Grubby playing.
|
Well, you definitely cannot fly if you have serious fever. Forgetting the flight itself, getting to and from the airport would be hell, if there isn't somebody to drive you. You could still attend only tournaments, but unless you have a miraculous cure the day before, you won't be able to show your full potential and you won't stand a chance anyways.

Playing an online tournament is not comparable with an intercontinental flight.

People need to know this but airlines won't let someone in the plane if they're sick.
One sick person in the plane means that everyone and anyone can be potentially sick as well.

Wow really, maybe you should tell korean progamers how to deal with /touringflying for tournaments since they get burned out just by touring around? They even mention this in their interview/s.
|
For the people talking about him playing in some online tournament. The real reason for him not coming due to being sick, is probably that he would be denied acess to the plane, as some people already said, airlines don't take people in who got a fever. I'm sure he would love to attend, I mean, free plane ticket to an awesome event he qualified for?

You're ignorant and you shouldn't post in topics where you don't read the OP. He had paid flight and board, there's literally no reason to not go unless you can't make the flight due to illness.
To the people saying he's laddering and playing an online tourney...that's not getting on an airplane and travelling from Mexico to Germany with a fever lol. I came back to the US from Germany with food poisoning, it was one of the worst experiences of my life, if I had to compete in a tourney after that? And have people judge my performance based on that? Get a grip.
