Michael "TheOgnis" McClelland, formerly of the now defunct Quantic Gaming, has found a new home with ROOT Gaming. TheOgnis, after DdoRo, is the second QxG member to find a spot on ROOT's roster. He's also a WCS North America qualified player and competed at IPL5, and he's been improving very steadily and becoming more and more recognized throughout this year.

Congratulations for TheOgnis for entering a great home. Man, ROOT is becoming absolutely massive recently, and I like expansions to their roster, a lot more variety and strength.

ViBe won the US WCS, and MajOr won the Mexico WCS (while still on ROOT). Both of them also qualified for the WCS finals Not much, but it's an excellent start!

This. I believe this is one of the biggest reasons I love the team so much. It's like a player union. Make no mistake that I have a great deal of love for TL and to an even larger extent EG (because of the fact that they are an American team), and yet the draw for me to ROOT matches my draw to those two teams.
It's the underdog thing; the little man managing to not only get into the ring with the big players but even go a few rounds with them. Adding someone like TheOgnis just emphasizes that. He's a player that isn't super well known but can and has come out of seemingly nowhere to upset some people and show that you don't have to be a big name to be a big threat.
I love it.
