My my, what a nicely timed evening, iron squid, this show and then drg vs flash, looks all good to me!
Sounds very interesting, looking forward to it. :D Looks like a lot of content though, I hope it won't be too much work to handle.
oh awesome, will have to check this out for sure.
Axslav! Yes, my favorite streamer, still use ur build in PvP gonna be sick in hots!
Loving it so far, the knowledge is gold!
Didn't see the thread until right after the show finished, how was it?
Haha, I'll bet you get over 9000 replays. Good luck sorting that out. Anyways, awesome idea and I will definitely tune in when I get the chance. I do live in Europe though, and it might be late for though it appears I already missed an episode though as I'm writing this. ~.~
[Edit] Where do I watch the VODs?
Great show Axslav! I missed the very beginning but will catch it on vods... great analysis and pro perspective. It's great when someone can explain their thought process and watch it onfold perfectly, it reminds me of a teacher explaining a fiction novel.
Anyways, I will keep watching!
vods are up here: www.mlg.tv (they should always be more at the latest by the day after the show).
oh ya also anybody feel free to offer up ideas for future episodes (trying to stay within one of the daily themes). This could range from a cool pro game you saw and were interested in seeing certain parts in more detail (would be a Monday or Wednesday thing), to a certain type of gameplay or tactic you want to learn more about (Monday or Wednesday as well), to just a general concept you feel many people are in the dark about (could fit in most days but especially Tuesdays). Also it could just be a presentation idea or whatever you want. -Nick

Just tuned in. Awesome job Axslav. You are so fking charismatic and well spoken.
I could listen to you all day.
This show needs more word to mouth.

Fucking love Axslav

Just watched a few bits but it seems very good. Professionally done, useful stuff for a range of players. I hope it continues and evolves. gl!

This show is the bestest thing ever.

Overall I'm a big fan and am really glad MLG has taken the initiative to launch a professionally produced, in-depth show like this. Also I'm a big fan of you personally and your analysis and commentary.
Now that a week has gone by I thought I would offer my feedback. I missed the Wednesday show, so can't comment on that.
I thought today's show was the strongest, because it highlighted your strength in analyzing games. Overall I feel like you're still a little stiff. I think the trick to these types of things is to reel people in with a personal connection. Maybe you could have one of the viewers that submitted a replay for analysis skype in to the show?
Another cool thing would be rather than to just tell us about how units match up, or how upgrades match up, put together a little game in a unit tester showing the impact that the phoenix armor upgrade has in the mirror, or set up an experiment to find out just how many lings it would take to overwhelm that zealot/sentry unit combo you talked about. Obviously it is more/harder work, but it is something that plays to your strengths and that I feel like isn't done enough (or at all) in analysis.
For the talking tactics episodes, I think context helps a lot, so if you're going to break down a game, tell us what led up to it. Was it an elimination match in a tournament? Is it foreigner vs korean? Do the players have a history with each other? Is one of the builds a new answer to an old problem, or a shift in the metagame? Anything to get us more interested in the story behind the game, will make those key decision points more interesting and meaningful. Also, you can tell us why you pick certain games. Did a play or build excite you? Why? If you're excited, we'll get excited.
Obviously you don't want to just imitate Day9, but his recent episode on Babyknight's PvT was really excellent. He described the problem (strong terran attacks at 10 min), then talked about how some others have traditionally handled it, and then showed Babyknight's super greedy, but perfectly sufficient answer. And to top it off, they were games against top Koreans, which highlighted the foreigner vs. korean angle.
Anyway, best of luck with the show. Looking forward to next week's episodes.

Oh damn, I saw this on earlier and ignored it.... had I known Axslav was doing it I'd have watched for sure. Can't get enough of that guy.
Will try to tune in next time! Thanks!

Axslave dropping knowledge bombs like a boss.
Really good and informative show. I think you look into getting it onto Youtube etc though to generate more views for what is really good content.
Just need to work a bit on the Screen presence and make us feel a bit less ackward, just come with time I guess!
Rules of Engagement is a really nice show, I have been watching most of the episodes and enjoyed all of them quite a bit. Can't think of anyone better suited for this than Axslav as well.
Updated with VOD links in the main page (which I'll continue to update within a day of the VOD being up)
Updated with VOD link to the first 2013 episode under talking tactics
as usual, the show was great today! awesome work axslav
wow just found out about this and its amazing! i find day9 to be a little bit long winded, whereas your show is more direct and to the point. keep up the good work you are awesome!
I really enjoy your presentation and analysis. You're really in top form, Axslav.
Very cool show. I think it would be interesting to possibly have guests call in? Say you're examing an MLG showmatch game, and you have one of the players call in and talk with them for 5-10 minutes about strategy. I think this would be a really cool thing to do that would also mix in something different every once in a while.
Really love it though - sick production on top of the show.
