StarCraft 2 Professional Gaming team, New Star HoSeo is recruiting new players for the first time ever since the team's creation.
In order to acquire new players, NSH decided to hold a public individual qualifiers. In order to be eligible for the qualifiers, a player has to be within rank 100 in Masters league on the b.net ladder. The first round will be an online tournament while the 2nd round will be an offline tournament. If a player qualifiers, he/she will be admitted in to the NSH roster. Registration will be open from August 13th - 21st. You can email nshoseo@naver.com if you are interested. The maps will be GSL Cloud Kingdom, Daybreak, and Entombed Valley. NOTE: I translated the NSH registration requirements but I don't know if they will accept NA/EU/SEA players or not. ◈ NSHoSeo Registration Requirements: Name: ID: Age: Race: Location: How long you've been playing: Current Level of Education: Parental Information: Method of Contact: *Photo ID
NOTE: I'm not asking people to sign up for this or anything. But if you are eligible and are interested you are more than welcome to.
I translated this because I wanted to bring it to people's attention.
HoSeo As of late, NSH's roster has taken a major hit. They lost Sting and Sage most recently, and Shuttle, Sia, Fake, Fairy, Flower, BanBans, and ggod have also all left.
It seems NSH can no longer just rely on only jjakji, San is looking better these days but not quite up there yet, Seal and Freaky show potential but haven't proved it, and Sculp and Tassadar have done well for the GSTL but haven't done well individually. I also have no idea who Brave and SalvatioN are or what they have accomplished

As far as I'm concerned, NSH recruiting could be very good for them. I am excited to see what new players they will acquire

Isnt most of the top 100 of KR masters league filled with Kespa pros and people already on teams?? Would seem like they'd have a hard time getting a good quali tourney.

Good luck to them. Hopefully they find some talent to replace the players who left. Sad about Banbans being gone. The Count is gone As for San not being in his usual form... he's still in the ro16 for OSL and was doing ok in team leagues. I mean I guess he isnt in GSL atm but he's doing better than he has been in a long time

Wait? you're kidding about the San thing right? He's looking better than jjakji atm lol..

Well, there's lots of teamless players like Sting, who-
nvm

Looks like Korean teams recruit like this a lot but we just don't know. A lot of teams have noname players that popped out from nowhere.
Well, as long as my favorite Tassadar is still there NSH is good enough.

the qualifiers are almost not needed lol
anyone who meets those specifications is probably not teamless. so they can just call for all people who meet the specifications and ARE teamless, and 5 people will apply then pick the ones you want lol
|
actually by top 100 masters it excludes gms (i think..)
so there are 200 gms and right below that there are top 100 masters
edit:oh there arent gms yet are there??
|
i'm glad they are recruiting. with all the losses i was worried they might fold.
|
You guys would be surprised how some players have been completely unkowns before being recruited. Iloveoov is a great example of this, if I remember correctly boxer played him on battle.net and then I suppose he saw some potentail and recruited him after.
- Gl to NsHS, I think in addition to players they need to recruit a marketing specialist :D

I have no clue why it says within rank 100 since there are only 100 ranks in each masters division but from the sound of it they aren't asking for THE top 100 masters, they are asking for masters players in general.

top 100 of each division or top 100 of the ENTIRE server? oO I'm assuming the latter or else it would be a very loose qualification.
|
hope they can find people, they are a really good team

Well they have 2 seperate qualifiers so i think they are fine with a loose qualifying requirement for just the online tourney. They wouldnt get enough teamless players for two qualifiers if they were only looking at top 100 GM
|
The best way to interpret 'within rank 100 masters' is to assume it just means all masters players. Wanting the top 100 masters players, excluding GMs, in KR is way too far of a stretch. That's not how recruiting works anyways. You want to take a relative no-name that shows potential and make him into a star player within your team. Since any established player is likely on a team at this point it would be making trade offers, not general recruitment.

They may need very good players right now just to stay competitive and thus a float. We don't know their motives, and the only way to interpret 'within rank 100 masters' is to assume they mean 'within rank 100 masters'. Everything else is speculation.

That would only leave Jjakji, Sculp, Tassadar and Brave/Salvation on the roster. Almost a hard reset. I have a hard time seeing them go past this ordeal. Jjakji and San in particular should feel entitled to a stable team environment...

It's like TSL all over again when everyone left except for Polt, but this time it's Jjakji.
Now we see if Jjakji will go the Polt route, stay on HoSeo, and try to rebuild his team, or if he will leave for greener pastures.
Also, why is San going to the UK? He has OSL nominations this week and then the OSL starts right after that.

does the members leaving have to do with the fact they are finished with school/no longer attending hoseo academy? i don't know how the sponsorship with hoseo works but since its a school maybe you have to be a student?

It's a pretty small roster, but in fairness they're all pretty good players. I like these smaller teams and hope they don't fold

The first round will be an online tournament while the 2nd round will be an offline tournament.
First part of this makes sense, but what if you qualify first round and are from Europe or NA? You really think they will fly you in to just do the offline tournament?
|
Good luck to anyone qualifying. i consistently play people on KR server who qualify (may have even qualified myself for a a little while) this is a super broad qualification from my experience. playing in the top 100 of masters doesn't make you a kespa pro (very few kespa pros actually fit into this, not from skill but just games played). There are quite a few 12-15 year olds which is likely the target recruits anyway. NSH has the best chance of getting those young young kids from their parents. Telling your parents you are going to go live at a university to play games is kind of a better sell than other teams.
