Together with our tournament sponsors Eizo, AMD, SAPPHIRE and Logitech DreamHack are very happy to return to sunny Valencia and the third competition of DreamHack Eizo Open the 22-23th of September.

Half the season of DreamHack Eizo Open has passed and it's once again time for DreamHack to return to Valencia and Spain. DreamHack Valencia will this time have a huge BYOC LAN with several official tournaments during the three day event during 21-23th of September. The main event will be the DreamHack Eizo Open: Valencia which starts on the second day (22nd) and concludes on the 23th.

Today the registration opens up for all StarCraft II competitors to join ThorZaIN, Polt, MaNa and DIMAGA who already have qualified for the SEK 550 000 Grand Final at DreamHack Winter 2012. There will be 150 000 SEK up for grabs, two slots for the Grand Final and of course important points, see the current ranking here.

Tournament format with 64 competitors and double group stage
At DreamHack Eizo Open: Valencia a double group stage will lead into a single elimination system. The tournament is as always open for everyone to participate and pros and amateurs start on equal terms.

The Tournament consists of 2 group stages with 4 player groups, where the best 2 players advance to the next stage, each game up to the Grand Final will be decided in best of three (BO3). After the two group stages the playoff will begin with 16 competitor and all the quarters, semis and Grand Final (BO5) will be played in-front of a huge audience with a high quality DreamHack production.

Free HD stream
DreamHack.TV through our streaming partner Twitch.TV will provide free HD streams throughout the tournament where some of world’s best casters will shoutcast the most interesting matches. More information including casters and streaming schedule will be released later on.

Follow Eizo Open on location
Come to Valencia and join the LAN with a BYOC ticket and get a spectator ticket for the Eizo Open, a fully packed StarCraft II tournament with a final show worth remembering. You can purchase the BYOC ticket and/or the spectator ticket at dreamhack.es. Please note, as a competitor you will already have a spectator ticket included.

Only 64-players this time around... But we should still HYPE IT UP

@digmouse: Dreamhack has stopped with invites. Some high person in Dreamhack (I don't know who) said (on nation television) something among the lines that invites takes away parts of DreamHack's spirit

64 players, first come first served...? If that doesn't lead to trouble... I imagine 64 slots being filled up quite fast.
But I am looking forward to it, last year's location was better though, imo. Mostly because of that awesome intro.

Of course they'll prioritize high profile players over random people. I hope they also give spots to the spanish progamers out there, VortiX is in a rampage lately.
Be whatever you want.

Looking forward to another great Dreamhack tournament, I gotta give you guys props for putting on so many big events every year when most organizers ( IPL,NASL,assembly ) only do two per year.

I also like that DH go to Bucharest later this year and try to expend Sc2 to new markets.
