Nothing would make me happier than if a player like Boxer, Nada or July comes back and wins yet another OSL.

I hope we get 2 diffrent leagues. Kind of like in US Basketball. We'll have an eastern and western confrence with a regular season, and then we'll have Playoffs.

As I said on the prev. page, most likely to reduce administrative work - those teams' submitted players will just be accepted without checking accounts etc.

Because each player on the teams might not have their own ladder account (since they specify it needs to be YOURS).

Nice of OGN to fuck the KeSPA players over by starting the league way before the hybrid PL ends, and even before the current OSL ends, so they're still stuck practicing BW while the other SC2 players don't have to split practice between 2 games ^_^

And the two players who get seeds from this season of OSL get the least preparation time just because they were trying to win their tournament.

Speaking of which, the qualifiers start on the morning of July 2nd, while the Ro4 matches don't take place until at least the week after that, so how will they know who is seeded into the next OSL and who needs to go through the qualifiers? There's a Ro8 match between Fantasy and SoO the night of the 3rd. Does that mean Fantasy has to waste his time preparing for the qualifiers instead of trying to make Ro4 (even if he later earns a seed, should he win the whole thing anyway)?

This has to be the most poorly organized way of doing this conceivably possible.

I thought KeSPA/OGN were smarter. I guess they're gambling on the BW players suceeding, personally I'm not so confident. What they will end up with is a final with players who have no name recognition with casual viewers. Which is actually a horrible way to promote SC2.

Is there any news regarding conflicts between GSL and OSL scheduling?

Like let's say, a very real possibility, is that someone like MVP is in pool play for both tournaments. Something happens to fall on a day, do OSL and GSL talk, or does MVP just ask one of two if things can be moved?

Or will these events occur somewhat different times? Which would be odd considering GSL happens prime Korean time, so I imagine there will be scheduling conflicts in there somewhere.

yeah wondering about this too, although i guess it's not thattt hard to move groups

I imagine the KeSPA qualifiers happen later, and I'm not sure how many of their players would even want to participate in this upcoming season since they'll just be destroyed by the GSL players.

Pretty sure the KeSPA qualifier will occur some time during the Semi-Final/Final break period or after.

Ah. I suppose I did. Even then, pretty sure they're not going to postpone the start of the entire tournament until PL ends in late September.

Well they get to skip the qualifiers so it gives them a decent amount of time to prepare.

Knowing KeSPA, I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled the plug on the Hybrid PL after the OSL final and just went fuck it, lets go full on SC2.

Were there confirmed any BW OSL -> SC2 OSL seeds, by the way? Cuz they don't make too much sense, anyway.

Oh, that makes the most sense. Some teams probably even register accounts for their players, which is done by a manager or staff, and the real ID of the account may not even be the guy that uses it.

That would be better for everyone really, them trying to compete in an sc2 OSL while having to play BW in PL as well would just be ridiculous.
