Last month I announced the first eSports Scholarship. Since then we've seen Twitch announce its own scholarships ($50,000!!!). Even though I can't put up as much money, I am happy to do what I can to help people who are active in the community.
There were quite a few great applications, but two stood out from the rest. To avoid spoilers, click the link below to find out who won! :D
eSports Scholarship winners announced
Just for reference, this is a $1,000 annual scholarship. Each of the two winners will be getting $1,000 per year of undergraduate study as long as they maintain GPA requirements and continue to be active as leaders in the community.

I propose that their video applications are publicized for the world to see

Congratulation to the winners. After reading the description of what they are, and what they did, I find it really great for them to win this scholarship.

Congrats to the winners! Viola such a good instrument @-@.
+ Show Spoiler +My suggestion still remains. I believe the GPA requirement should be lowered >< There are a lot of people, and players, who would probably love to try for something like this but can't ..

What do you mean "but can't...". If you want to try for this, then get your ass in gear, hit the books and raise your GPA... It doesn't bode well for you getting the scholarship if you are asking them to lower the qualifications... Seems REALLY counterintuitive to me.
Anways, congrats to the winners, they both seem like outstanding individuals.

but anyways congrats to the 2 winners :D

Totally agree - the GPA requirement should be a little lower but when considering people for the scholarship, you should take into account their transcript. I LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE suppy but his schedule wasn't like study all day still get raped ez. Not saying it was a cakewalk by any means.
But anyways, I think the main point of the scholarship is to find people who genuinely care about esports, but show an ability to succeed outside of esports. So not only be involved in leadership-oriented parts of esports, but have another life with other experiences so that if esports goes bust, there's something to fall back upon. And if esports blossoms like we all hope it does, these people will have a wealth of experience in other aspects of life that they can use to further esports.
Of course he's a fucking Superior wolf so clearly he would win anyways.

Congrats to both of them!
