You're really asking him to prove that nani won't have to leave the scene? What's your evidence that he WILL have to leave? Idra's word? LOL

Great interview from the illustrious JP!
|
one thing i respect idra about is how he calls out SC2 < BW in terms of esport. 100% agree exactly with his first point
|
does the EG house have a maid? at around 2 min there is a woman with what looks like a broom, so pro lol
|
Watched interviews 1 and 2; good so far!
|
I think JP really needed to press Idra on his comment about Day9 and force him to clarify exactly what he meant.

I am not saying you are wrong. This would be very interesting for the community, but it would also cause a shit storm between friends. This show isn't about calling out people, and getting gosip rumors started. This show is about the players themselves, and learning more about them and their personality. While I agree, it would have been interesting...I believe that this is an issue for another show. Even then, I don't know if I would like to see it answered because things like this could potentially harm a friendship. SC2 loves drama, but we don't always HAVE to be told EVERYTHING. We just need to watch and enjoy DA GAMEZ!

Now we have a half comment from a prominent community figure about another prominent community figure just hanging out there.

Again, True. But it isn't a question that NEEDS to be answered. It's one that we could let rest. I think JP could tell that Idra was uncomforatble (the way he was trying to kind of dance around it, but still make his point) so why try to push the issue. Again, that is not what this show is about. This is a quesion that some want answered to stir more drama. But in the end, the answer doesn't do anything but create hurt feelings, and akward situations.

Loving this show JP. That was the best 50 minutes I've had in a while

Statements like this make me laugh. They always seem to imply that people are upset that you are trying to be positive and happy...that they want you to come out and be an asshole every now and then or else you're not "real".
It seems most interesting to me because whenever someone like Day[9] is in the public in any way, he/she is representing a brand. Why would one project anything other than positivity from a brand? At the pharmacy I run, if one of my techs is rude to a patient we have a genuine problem - I can't write it off as being "no fluff," suggesting that being rude is acceptable at all.
Further, what does his positivity or niceness, even if it IS a front, do to harm anyone? Better too sunny than too cloudy, I'd think; lean too far the other way and see how long you have a career or friends.
"That guy...he's just...nice and happy...he's not being mean and treating people like crap...it makes me so mad!"

Well this isn't what I expected, so I'll jsut give my own bit of real talk:
Not having separate rankings for each race is incredibly fucking stupid and that blizzard hasn't addressed this properly yet pisses me off.
Off to tank my mmr for a few hundred games so I can switch races without blowing a gasket.

Loving the new show, but mp3s would be amazing if that's possible

Even if he isn't the most marketable, if the fans are there for him, and his skill level is high enough, he'll stick around.

Thanks JP for this show and all the other content you've brought up, much appreciated.
