But here he's doing a lower back exercise, so this probably isn't a part of it, just general exercise or something.

Last year I sprained both of my rotator cuffs (the part of your shoulder that attaches to your arms), and they mainly had me do upper back and shoulder exercises. Boxer's injury is different, but they'll probably just have him do exercises in order to build strength and flexibility in his shoulders, over the course of as long as a few months, and then he'll be fine.

If he requires surgery then that changes everything and I don't have a great idea of what "rehabilitation" would mean in that context, unless we knew exactly which surgery. In that case, you could find info online about the surgery and its recovery time, and the kind of rehab that accompanies it.

People have been saying Boxer should/is going to retire for years.

He also noted that although some fans will speculate retirement due to this, but he assured that this is a momentary break and his fans should not be worried about his retirement anytime soon.
