Eclypsia is happy to announce you the arrival of the American/Korean Andrew ' SLoG ' An, formerly FXOpen e-sports. He joins Eclypsia as player and captain of our future Korean team and we are particularly delighted.
SLoG was a major personality of BroodWar. Besides the fact of being famous to have saved KaL from the drowning during the WCG with Flash and JaeDong, putting his life in danger, he officiated especially as player and renowned referee there.
On Starcraft 2, he’s an influent and recognized person by the Korean scene. He joined FXOpen e-sports in 2011 where he was essentially in the management staff. He was the main actor of the merger between his team and fOu.
Nevertheless, he has never given up the practice of the game. He has an impressing level in spite of its other activities, beating of numerous times his former team-mates. He participated this weekend to the Code A qualifiers where he failed in semi-final for the second time, making him one of the best foreigners participating in these qualifications.
FXOBoSs statement : + Show Spoiler +“It was an absolutely pleasure getting to know SLoG on a personal and professional level. Unfortunately, we have had to transfer him to another organisation as our goals are different. We wish him all the best on his journey and hope to remain close friends with him in the future.”
Eclypsia.SLoG statement: + Show Spoiler +“I'm very pleased to be on board with Eclypsia, working together to make our esports scene even bigger. I’m looking forward to grow this team!”

Sickest pick-up! Probably one of the most talented players out there. Eclypsia seems like a really serious contender now. Maybe in the GSTL haha? One can dream! Good luck guys!
|
Wait, SLoG saved Kal? Somehow I have another version of the story in my mind... ^^
|

So the image banner titles him as a korean, yet in the text you count him as a foreigner. Make up your mind! :D

this seemed extremely quick!

I understand that all teams start out small but to be perfectly honest I feel sorry for these Koreans. They leave their team looking for success and money in the foreign scene and they join up with small teams that have no notoriety. Please correct me if I am wrong but I doubt that most of these small teams can send these Koreans along with their other members to foreign tournaments. These Koreans join a team thinking that they are really good big teams that are popular. No offense to Eclypsia but who are you? I have only seen Welmu play in 1 or 2 events and I have watched almost every event.
I believe that these Koreans really need to try to join the best foreign teams if they are of the caliber before joining the first team they get an offer from.

Congrats SLoG, good luck with the new team

You actually don't understand where this team is even going...They haven't even announced their full roster, you know nothing about the background of the management, wait until they announce everyone and I assure you, you wont be calling it a small team.
