Since it seems to have gotten lost among all the other TSL drama going on:
I'm extremely sad to announce that Heart has also left the team, effective as of less than 48 hours ago. He had already expressed his discomfort with the team-house environment in general (much like Sheth when leaving FXO) and had been training from home over the last month.
Heart is currently a Free Agent and will be participating in the Hot6iX GSL Code A Round of 48.
UPDATE It appears Heart may not have left TSL afterall: According to This source Heart has not withdrawn from TSL.
I'm actually incredibly confused as well.
I had someone (won't name names) send me an e-mail he received from TSLHeart about how he left the team:
nowadays I and Alive leave TSL team but we have some problem. and it will be ok -TSL_Heart, Tuesday, January 17th, 2012
I did not release the information immediately, instead holding out to be confirmed elsewhere.
After seeing posts also claiming Heart had left TSL, I figured the secret was out HOWEVER;
I then heard from Coach Lee:
TSL_korea Your lastest post is not official announce TSL and Heart. Please considering about post.
A few more messages back and forth, and Coach Lee had to run, but did not confirm or deny Heart's departure.
Update For the record, this was finally confirmed when he played his Code A match the other day.

Polt and HyuN still there.. But yeah, i think the problem lies within the coach or something in the house..like 10 players left since TSL was founded..can't be a coincidence -.-
TSL was far and away one of my favorite teams, and it seems that Mr. Lee is just falling apart emotionally right now . But this is all part of a plan where the BW bonjwa's will switch over in 24 hours and join TSL to make them rise to the top, well probably not, but one could hope. Mr. Lee if you somehow see this, hang in there, we are all rooting for TSL.
I would say TSL is done for, but I've said that multiple times already in the past. Seems like this team is immortal, don't expect them to win much of anything though..
Hopefully this is the last one who drops away from the team. TSL still have a impressive line up as of yet but I really can't see them doing well at all in the team league especially with the fact that they dont have any code S players
Well, it looks like TSL is about done for, the only notable players they have left now are Polt and Hyun I believe. I wonder if the players don't much care for how the management handles things(such as Coach Lee getting those Skype logs somehow)? Just pure speculation on my part though. Looks like TSL won't win GSTL lol
the most amazing thing is that this is still a good lineup O.o they'd be a dominating team if all of those players who left were still on it...i seriously wonder what is wrong with that house that's causing players to leave left and right

hahaha This! It would definitely be killer if they could pick him up
I dont know what it is.. in an Artosis interview the Coach seemed friendly. He also accepted Major to train with the team.. But his public statements and reactions have been always terribly one-sided and simply wrong in some points.
Something behind the scenes must have scared them all away... sad
I'm asking myself why so many players want to leave TSL, every player gave a fairly good reason, but the malaise seems to be much deeper than that, and nobody wants let the cat out of the bag.
Am I wrong ? Because i read in many posts that the team isn't struggling in term of sponsors (unlike Prime for ex.), they give salaries, and basically money doesnt seems to be a major issue. (Or maybe players are too respectful/polite to just say something like "Coach Lee is a dick.")
Both Alive and Heart cite issues with the living conditions or team/manager interactions for their reasons for leaving. I think we can at least make an educated guess that something is up with TSL .

How is Sheth leaving Korea after a couple of weeks anything like heart leaving TSL?
Was wondering that too. Please clarify.
We likely arn't going to know. Though if you look at the aLive interview, it appears coach Lee likes to watch their skype to make sure they arn't talking to people about leaving the team. We can only imagine how he was with a player from another team in the house, directly interacting with other his players.

Don't act like a drama queen, TSL still has plenty of players and they just signed Hyun and Cyrano. There is no reason for TSL to disband.
People say the same about zenex, just because they lost most of their "star" players they think it's gonna disband. Please stop this bullshit.
Wow you have to relax... you are the only one really blowing anything out of proportion here with that incredibly defensive response. What's happening to TSL? The coach was also the ex-coach for MBCGame in Hyungjoon becomes a progamer and he seemed really nice... but all these people leaving can't be coincidence.

TSL (don't need me to list them out), oGs (primarily MC), MVP (GuineaPig?), SlayerS (Sleep, Dragon, Golden), Prime (Check, HongUn, Maka, I'm forgetting someone else I feel) ...
ST seems to be doing relatively well though Trickster and Max went to the army, as is NsHS. Dunno about ZeNEX; they lost a lot a while back. FXO doing well too, though there was a transfer of sC to MVP?
All teams are losing some B class players it seems like, but TSL is losing more than any other, and not just B players. It can't just be coincidence. There has to be a reason for this, no?

Im not blowing it out of proportion, i just gave my opinion about the whole "TSL is gonna disband" talk. Personally i think its unlikely that more players will just leave like this. If there really is something weird going on then and everyone leaves then yeah. Obviously it will disband.
However Revival has been on the team for a very long time and he hasn't left yet, TSL doesn't seem to have any problems with sponsors or money in general, and like i said they just signed 2 players.
I really doubt it that Coach Lee is an asshole, he used to be the MBC game hero coach and had the reputation of being really nice, in interviews he also seems to be a very nice guy.
I think the reason why some players are leaving is because Lee might be very strict with practice schedules, and that those players are just looking for teams that give a better salary.
Oh man, TSL losing players left and right.Seems like most of the guys leaving just weren't comfortable with the new practise regime. TSL should be fine. They have Polt and some up and coming players.

I think the reason why some players are leaving is because Lee might be very strict with practice schedules, and that those players are just looking for more money.
I doubt that is the reason. These players want to play, but there seems to be an issue with Coach Lee. He operated under Kespa previously and from my understanding of the leauge, a lot of these issues might never have come up since the legue rules were so strict. He might not be used to the idea that he has to work to keep his players, which is what you need to do. Nice or not, he seems to run to the media when he should just handle the matter in private.
And players looking for more money is a valid reason. If you arn't paying them well and they can make more someplace else, you better be offering them something they can't get elsewhere. If you can't and just want to rely on the contract to lock the player down for the rest of the term, don't be shocked if they want to break it early.

the reasoning was that he didn't like a team house environment and left a while ago, what's the big deal here? it's just a badly timed announcement given recent events.

TSL will be fine. They still have several good players and a couple of up and coming players.
Also, if that rumor about various A Team BW pros switching over is true, a lot of them are going to get on TSL because of Coach Lee and because there will certainly be room for them.

As far as I'm aware this is correct. I know he is no longer staying in the TSL house, and it is fact that he has joined CheckSix.
It makes one wonder about the status in the TSL-house.
There are a fair few notable free agents out there, and with TSL still being surprisingly strong considering the losses they have suffered they could come back to be a beast.
TSL still has a decent lineup, but one has to wonder what the atmosphere at the house is like... it just seems like so many players have been dissatisfied with the team. You never hear about people leaving other teams like this.
Personally, I get the impression that Coach Lee is a little difficult to work with. Maybe it's something else though?

I don't want to jump to conclusions, but this has to be extremely demoralizing for the rest of the TSL teammates. Team SCV Death T_T. I hope that they pull through, I always thought they would be the ones to gobble up all the BW pros that come over without their teams. Hyun being the most recent. TSL_Jaedong would have made my life. Sigh...One can hope for the best for all people involved.
Seems like TSL is slowly falling apart, much like SixJax did, except this team had a team house. I believe that what they need to do is take some of coach Lee's powers away, tell him to take a step back and just let the team do as they see fit, with his coaching and not his stalking.

I still have a lot of respect for Coach Lee, but obviously something must be pretty wrong in the team/team house if so many players have left. Not too sure what's up exactly, though the team must be thinking of going through major changes if they expect to rebound from all these issues that have happened in the last year. This is absolutely true. A lot of those A teamers who are switching will surely go to TSL because of Coach Lee and the fact that there is so much open space in the team.
TSL is turning into a feeder team. But these koreans really need to lose their illusions of granduer. The grass is not much greener on this side of the world.
I'm curious how TSL would feel about bringing in foreign players to the team. It's a bit unclear how the process works right now, but I'm sure there would be plenty of good people interested if they actually did need to fill up their roster. I can't help but feel some uneasiness for TSL, however at the end of the day I can't see the team disbanding or anything of the sort.

Simply put, something is not being managed correctly or appropriately. Being a successful team requires good management, not just a strict practice regiment. Teams like IM, SlayerS, OGS, etc. may have a more lenient practice schedule but they've got success stories right?

Good coach =/= Good team. The players may not be able to cope with Coach Lee's no doubt intense training schedule, or they might feel like they want to practice from home, or any number of other things. I don't think the problem lies with TSL's coach.

Although TSL looks bad now, it will get a lot better. They have the best SC2 coach in the business, Coach Lee has rebuilt a team from scratch before, and he can do it again. I would almost be surprised in TSL did not recover from this. Coach Lee fighting, TSL fighting.
This stuff only destroys TSL if the team sponsors think it makes them look bad or they think they can get better returns from somewhere else.
For my money, there's just too much unneeded drama around TSL. Coach Lee has shown that he can coach a player up, but that he also pushes them out after a relatively short period of time and doesn't seem to handle that situation well. I think this aLive controversy could easily be the one that pushes sponsors out the door. If I was a sponsor of TSL, I'd personally be looking into sponsoring other teams when my current contract runs out. There are a lot of solid Korean teams that produce good/great GSL/GSTL results without the controversy surrounding TSL.
TSL won't die tomorrow and it may even get some new life breathed into it with more BW players moving over, but BW pros aren't going to switch over so that they can play for free. If coach Lee can't handle the managerial/public relations portion of his job better, I don't think he'll have the money to entice BW players to switch over.

I was very disappointed that their acquisition didn't register as news, and it flew under the radar quite a bit.
"TSL.Hyun has shown how brood war gamers are disciplined enough to make something of starcraft 2. I am not going to go into the debate exactly, but I am a close friend with TSL coach Lee. I have been informed that Hyun practices up to 15 hours a day, and on the 15th hour he still has a smile on his face and enjoys himself. I don’t know any foreign gamer who does that, and I know very few korean gamers who do that, at least in starcraft 2. "

Not so slowly in my opinion. I clearly have no idea what is going on within this team but there must be some sort of structural problem with the coach or management. It's not a coincidence when half your roster decides to leave within 3 1/2 months.
I know Coach Lee holds a lot of respect in the Korean SC community but there must be a reason that he is the only coach who repeatedly declares that his players are being "poached". Like all of us, I don't have any real knowledge on what is happening with this team, but am curious to know.

Do you think that b/c the players you listed left on "good terms" means there is not a structural problem with the team? I was thinking why, as a whole, TSL is falling apart.

At what point does "luck" factor still a factor in this. I don't think they're getting unlucky, I think its something much more concrete. Given the recently released information, their management is questionable to say the least.

Can someone please validate this for me? I've heard several time that Coach Lee is one of the best, but he hasn't produced any champions (Polt was not TSL at the time of his victory) besides Fruitdealer. And despite having the first SC2 champion, and the sponsorship dollars that came along with it, they have never commanded as nearly as much of a presence IM, oGs, or SlayerS.
Clearly TSL is crumpling. I want to know what's going on in TSL that's leading up to all these releases and such, eventually it will be known when there's no players left.
Wow this is insane. I wonder what it is like in the team house that all the TSL players are having issues with it. Either way it will be interesting to see if the other big names stay (Polt and those other guys) lol. I'm guessing they will, but this might lead to TSL collapsing

I just don't understand why people keep claiming he's the best / a great coach when he hasn't produced any top players and his team is continually hemorrhaging players. Where is all this Coach Lee love/hype coming from?
I'd blame Artosis but Coach Lee isn't a Protoss player.
This news sucks so many of the good players leaving TSL, although they still have a formidable roster (assuming the rest stay on). I feel bad for the team and Coach Lee to an extent (although the printing of Alive's Skype chat is strange).

maybe they're leaving because coach lee is a true BW coach.
Then why hasn't he produced any championship level players?
If his style is alienate so many of his players without producing results then I really don't see how he's the "best" coach at all.
Just looking at current and former rosters it seems to be a really deep lineup: Revival Polt Hyun Alive JYP Killer Clide Rain Puma Guineapig, all fairly noticeable names.
He doesn't seem to be an OZ coach who wants to focus on players one at a time.

Evidence points to him being a bad manager and leader. As far as his coaching is concerned, there's nothing indicating that hes a bad coach and to his credit, TSL has always had notable players getting good results.

yeah, and then lee allegedly goes thru private skype chat logs. sketch, he needs to account/answer for that before outsiders can analyze this situation any further
TSL will always find more players. Whether or not they will pan out is the question! I feel the team is much less attractive since top players such as Fruitdealer, Killer, Trickster, and Clide have all left.
Polt: Who? Ultimate: WIP? Revival: Solid Zerg, hasn't broken through yet. Shine: WIP? Symbol: I hear good things about this guy. Seems solid. HyuN: Fast-improving WIP. RagnoroK: WIP? Dream: ??? Cyrano: The new pick-up, WIP. Seems fairly solid from the few games I've seen from him.
Not as bad as it looks, but they're certainly lagging behind the other teams (minus ZeNEX).

These players are quite the testament to how deep their lineup was, but really, these players don't compare to what TSL has lost in the past months. Maybe these guys will be cultivated into the next superstars but they certainly aren't there yet. Just in terms of in-house practice they must be hurting badly, let alone the loss of almost all of their recognizable names.
Been watching Heart stream for a while and really like his play. Hope he finds a good team but I'm sure he will!
Man WTAF is going on with Coach Lee? Does he like stand above a bank of 8 PC's set up in a LAN cracking a bullwhip for 20 hours while the players practice? I am kinda getting tired of so much TSL drama yet nobody is willing to come out and say specifically "what" is so bad about the TSL house and Coach Lee's way of running it. I get that nobody wants to appear to be badmouthing or trashtalking behind the teams back and they all want to maintain professionalism, but I think this has gone too far and I doubt I'm the only one that wants at least a tiny bit of insight into what's going on behind the scenes at TSL.

Actually, the hype does come from Artosis lol! Artosis has said he's the best coach/manager multiple times and people probably parrot that. He just said it recently again on his stream when I was watching. Artosis is a bit bias to his friends, BW nostalgia and stuff though... Hard to argue he's the best coach/manager if players don't want to stay on his team.

Eh but the Skype chat thing I can understand where coach lee is coming from, because some companies monitor their employee's computers to check for productivity. Coach Lee probably had that software installed in all the computers, it's not just used for spying on chats, it's used to check if they actually played game/ pirate stuff/ watch porn etc, probably was in the contract.

I did not release the information immediately, instead holding out to be confirmed elsewhere.
After seeing posts also claiming Heart had left TSL, I figured the secret was out HOWEVER;
I then heard from Coach Lee:

A few more messages back and forth, and Coach Lee had to run, but did not confirm or deny Heart's departure.

i think the problem with TSL is probably sponsorship ( $$$ ) so they cant afford to have so many high paid players..
Having a house with 15 guys and paying salaries and expenses is not cheap , off course low and mid tier players will have more difficulties getting well paid because the real money in on wins .

I believe it to be more about the practice schedule. Coach Lee is an ex BW assistant coach and therefore is very strict about practice. A lot of these players are not used to the kind of dedication that he has come to expect from ALL players.
