That kinda of makes the poll invalid if people arent reading the question or voting properly.

Taeja has to be a huge favorite, but Idra can certainly beat him on a good day. 4-2 to Taeja

I think people might be voting to keep it at 50/50, so it's fucked up either way ;D. Not like the poll is that important either .

Seems like exploding would be painful, personally I'd suggest against it.

Wow, the polls are 50-50.
This series is going to be awesome, but I'm going to give it to Idra. His ZvT is just too damn solid as soon as it hits the mid game.

easy money for taeja imo ;D

I don't think it's easy money for either personally.

Taeja is a naturally slow starter, and IdrA gains a lot of momentum if he wins Game 1 (a game that Taeja drops often in bo3/5/7 series) so it adds an itneresting aspect.

I think this is the toughest match of Taeja's career, although he has played players like ForGG, DRG, etc most of the time those were bo3's. He has won plenty of bo7's but never vs a player of IdrA's caliber.

For IdrA it's obviously tough as Taeja is one of the most varied players you will find and is absurdly good at mixing in cheese at unexpected times and with unexpected ways (Reaper/Medivac push on Antiga and in GSL).

I know I am obviously biased but I think this is a neck and neck match up and the biggest gap will being experience in IdrA's corner, but Taeja is not known to choke or anything in online matches, so I think it should be ultra competitive.

I actually think that TaeJa has beaten many players stronger than Idra in Bo7s. Gumiho, Seal, and Crank are all definitely stronger players than Idra. That poll is great hype, but its also a bit surprising to me. For what its worth, I've spoken to TaeJa on occasion, and his favorite matchup is TvZ. This is gonna be great!

Did you even think you posted that? o.O Seal and Crank are better than Idra...What? mindblown...I guess player skill in Starcraft II is subjective...

Seal is hard to say. He has times where he displays pretty unbelievable understanding of the game. Others he seems to be choke city, but I don't see how Idra is any different. Furthermore, Crank and Seal have demonstrated outstanding ability vs extremely strong players (inside and outside of GSL). Watching Crank play is pretty spectacular. SlayerS_Min let us spectate some SlayerS vs SlayerS training games from first person, and it must be said that Crank is Gosu as hell. Given that appearance and interpretation of the word "skill" are definitely subjective in this community, you can't seriously deny that Crank or Seal aren't strong players and couldn't also beat Idra or TaeJa in Bo7s. So, yes - I did put a good bit of thought into my post (as well as time watching [read: stalking] some of these Korean players).

I don't know why so much comments are in favour of Taeja, i dont know whether people remember last MLG where IdrA beat Bomber? but he showed there his ZvT is very very very good and that was before Korea

In all honestly this match could go both ways. Both players are going to be playing in a matchup they are quite comfortable with.

However, I imagine the reasoning is that TaeJa is able to consistently play against and beat extremely talented Korean players, whereas Idra has had quite some trouble this year beating such players. A lot of people also put FAR too much stock into Idra's previous wins (though, few they were) in GSL at a time when players are far from the skill level they are at now. I wouldn't say this is set either way; however, my gut says if it were to be one sided at all then TaeJa would be the player to bet on. He delivers pretty frequently. Furthermore, and this is probably naive idealism coming from me, I hope people avoid the "oh X is better than Y because so and so won a series, oh lawdy lawd" mentality. This match doesn't exist in isolation, and there are many other indicators of current ability than this one Bo7.

Edit: PS. TaeJa is streaming right now. Those of you who are unfamiliar with his ability might want to check it out.

So here's the Map Pool and how it will work. There will be 5 maps. Games 1 and 7 will be on a fixed map (Cloud Kingdom) and the other games will be losers pick. Of the 4 maps left one can be picked twice, and only one.
