The group qualifier was an easy exercise for the King,  MVP, who is going to challenge to get the gold medal.
The first day of WCG 2011 Grand finals was held on 8th December in Busan BEXCO convention centre. MVP was in the group C and qualified as the first.
MVP was the first one to have games out of Koreans, he commented "There were no single strong players in my group so it was not had, however foreign players that I haven't heard of shows different tactics that were rather fresh or odd. One Protoss player went for a fast Colossi drop player so when I attacked his base, he pulled back his drop and I was able to win easily."
The group qualifier had the full-league format which was not a problem for MVP, he also mentioned "The variable of winning would be maps. All maps only allow cross-position spawn points and it is difficult to win against Zerg. I haven't lost a single game to SuperNoVa before and  MarineKing is also Terran so should not be too difficult. I believe that I will have a harder time if I run into Greg Fields (EG.Idra)"
MVP will be taking a rest until the second day and he will face Sen in Super Match.

To be fair Idra already thinks of MVP as the best player in the world so must mean something to have mutual respect for one another.
