So, I saw a post about this a while back, but it only had a few teams, and it never really went anywhere. I was bored today so a took some time to make some images that could possibly be used for this purpose.
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, I'm referring to Team Icons like the Brood War ones that appear in signatures. IF I HAVE MISSED A TEAM, PLEASE LET ME KNOW

I honestly just cannot find a large version of the Prime logo. Even the one from the GSTL Wallpapers isn't big enough. I'm getting it redone now, along with the AZK one, but this is what I have for now T_T
I've actually never seen the Vile icon before. I didn't even know they had one...although in retrospect I'm pretty stupid for thinking they didn't. Anyway, these are awesome!

This is something very minor but it's just my pet peeve. You name some organizations by names that aren't their official names at all. MYM doesn't go by MYM Gaming they go by MeetYourMakers plain and simple. Fnatic doesn't add gaming either they go by fnatic or Team fnatic. Just my small pet peeve there's a few more I noticed but w/e.

Interesting, I had never seen that page before. Well, I still don't consider my time wasted, since that page is actually missing teams :/ I will have to go through and make images for all of those teams I missed that fit the size I made all of these.

Always thought this was a good idea, but I would imagine that 60% of people would just use the TL icon.
Which isn't bad or anything, but the difference between Brood War and the SC2 icons would be that, at the most, BW only had twelve teams. In your list, that would be adding around 30+ team icons. I would limit it to the Korean teams + top foreigner clans.

I guess you can consider it a "Neutral" option.
Couldn't I just have my Oz Team KeSPA icon in the BW forum, and TL-oGs in the SC2 forum, and whatever I want in the Featured News content?

I think it would be silly to have icons for every team out there. If GSTL got bigger and better or SC2 came to Proleague I would totally dig having the GSTL/Proleague teams like in the BW section.
There's too many random teams around and the team scene is very volatile. I don't see much point in it until there's a structured high level team league.

Maybe we could have the GSTL teams for a start.
TL can Implement/Not Implement as many as they like, I just don't want to leave anyone out by accident, so I'm just making as many as I can. If they choose to only use teams in the GSTL/Rumored SC2 Pro-League that's up to them, I just had Photoshop and Spare Time.
By the way, you might also want to standardize the format a little. Ideally, they should all fit in the same image format.
Look at how BW logos are done. T1, OZ and KT have their original logos because they're more horizontal and naturally fit. On the other hand, where logo isn't appropriate it isn't used. STX just has the red STX text. Same for MBC and CJ which have more of a vertical logo. It's a big part of why BW logos look good together and signatures don't make peoples' eyes hurt when they scroll a thread (unlike the mood icons which are awful -_-)

All of the images, except the Alternate Attax, which I'm fixing, are set to the same scale which in the OP is 300 Pixels across, 150 high, and can be scaled up and down accordingly.
I wonder if potential trademark infringement is the reason this has been held back. All those teams are based in different countries with different managements and different local trademark laws. In BW days, all the Korean teams were based with Kespa, so there was just one trademark policy that applied to all the BW team logos, which probably made it easier for TL management to ensure that they were in line with infringement laws.
I read somewhere on tl a rumor that said something like: 'SC2 icons won't be implemented until there is a proleague, and then only the proleague ' is this true? I'm 99% certain that it was a normal member who said it. I really don't see why else they wouldn't have done this though Besides the fact that at the earlier stages of the game teams were coming and going i guess?
We definitely could use team logos in the SC2 forums. Too many bandwagoners switching fandoms at a whim. Stick by your team and defend them to the death, logic and rationality be damned.

Also.. as a graphic designer.. I am going to rate them each.. im kinda bored as well. I can tell you that complexity and check 6 both need serious updating of their logos. The 'swashes' is so 90's btw. Look it up .. bad logo design and you will find it .
I love both teams.. just not their logos.
the EG logo is very solid as well as the TL logo.. and both very different from each other. Most of the korean logos are very good..but then again..they pay to have them done by professional designers.
I would like to have my BW logo apply in areas of the site where it's relevant, and in SC2 areas (where there's currently no logo displayed) to have the option for a SC2 logo. That would be nice. If I must only have one BW or SC2 logo, I'm not sure, but most likely I'll keep the BW logo for now, as I still consider the team scene in BW to be much more developed and exciting.
I don't know why a web-admin couldn't do that. Would take literally 5 minutes to implement.
Other than the fact that this is Team Liquid's website, and they wouldn't want anyone to show they like another team, nor would they want to support another team in this way. It's not like it is a problem with having a SC1 team icon on your post. The game is monopolized and there won't be a new team icon to worry about adding ever.

TeamLiquid could choose to only implement the teams that play in the GSL(Or SC2 Proleague), which is something that sounds totally reasonable, on top of getting the suggestion of Team Icons really moving, I wanted to compile quality images of Team Logos all into one place, for anyone perhaps needing them for overlays, or tournament related things, etc.

I think the team icons in the bottom right hand corner of each post make the whole page look a little more cluttered, but I'd definitely use one if they added the feature.

EG/SlayerS Partnership doesn't have a logo as far as I've seen, I'd be more likely to upload a Quantic/IM one which is already finished.
Also, as much as I would love to sell these, I can't, unless I contact the teams themselves and get permission to make/distribute these for profit.

I would love to have the icon when I post in the sc2 forums, but as I still follow khan, I don't really want to give it up when I post in the bw forums.
It seems like that should be possible, since the bw icon only seems to show up when you post in the bw forums anyway.

lol, that logo MIGHT actually be worse than the old one. while startales logo looks pretty bad, at least it looks well made, MVPs logo looks like something done on MS paint

You could cut out the logo from that! Probably Australia's #1 team.

Please mods/R1CH make this happen? I think choosing to display a logo will revive some interest in the teams themselves. Atm it seems like everyone is just a fan of players (I know I am) and not really the teams. For people to make a concrete decision might hype this up somewhat!
hey theres also Hugs and Kisses, they are lesser known, but still compete against many of the teams you have here, and i think they deserve to be included.

I'm aware of this, I also compiled it like I did for there to be a collection of standardized team logos for Team League LR threads and whatnot. I'm going to periodically update the next post in this thread with the 15px high versions as I make them. I've had no reason to until now.

Yes, I'm aware the LighT one hasn't been posted. The logo itself is very tricky as it doesn't provide any definition for the back edges, so when trying to clear the rest of the background unless you get it just right it comes out looking very ugly, so I want to make sure I get it right before anything else.
