Given the speed the chat moved, and the fact that the guy only posted the link once as far as I know, I assume the actual damage in terms of people donating to him was minimal, it however does damage the reputation of events such as these in general and makes people more weary to donate in the future in case they are being scammed. | ||

I hope someone reports him to the police. As much as I hate the guy, I don't think anyone should be posting any personal information that can lead to him being harassed in real life or even harmed. In the future people should be careful when streaming and make sure the mods delete any link that is fake. Also, if you are one donating, I don't see why you would donate using a random link posted in the chat channel. Both Destiny and Sheth put a the link to their paypal to the left of the chat, on the stream description. | ||

At the end of the day, scammers also have to realise that it can have real life consequences, rather than simply some online internet world where whatever you do is what you can get away with.
