Any yet i tuned in 4 times throughout this marathon, and each time i was bored within about 40 seconds ![]() i remember at one point it was sheth trying to get destiny to do something, play another game or something. Im not a fan of TLO, but his event was much more fun then this. Sorry guys. Props for doing it though, and raising alot of money, thats great, but it wasnt my cup of tea ![]() Jesus, GTFO. It is 24 hours of them doing their best to raise money. I tuned in and out of the streams several times and found it fun. At some point they are getting tired and it is about the marathon of making it 24 hours, it isn't about providing the highest quality entertainment possible the entire time. Also what you think is fun or not fun isn't the same for each person. I felt like they did a variety of things that some people might enjoy and some might not. A 24 hour straight program is not the format you chose to go with if total entertainment is your primary goal, it was about raising money and having a good time with it. People like you make me want to blow up the internet. This post wasn't needed at all. They raised 30k to feed kids, what have you done today to help make the world a better place? There's lots of ways for people to help even if they don't like the content. Great Job guys and to anyone out there who donated you don't need to watch a streamed event like this to donate. People donate all the time. Don't hold back! Cheating the system really isn't a solution. People/Businesses actually pay a lot of money to have their ads featured on Twitch.tv, and to honestly contribute I think it should be watched. Content and ads. Personally I think that's the way to contribute. If people cheat the ad-system it will eventually become public knowledge and ads at Twitch.tv will become less valuable. IMO that is. ![]()

Nothing wrong to leave it in the background while you're doing something else. If anything the advertisement just get more into your subconscious without you noticing, lol ^^. But your point is still valid. Nevertheless people make money off TV ads and its not like people always close their tv when they aren't watching it...they still count as viewers that advertising company pay for. It'll take a lot of viewers not watching a stream for advertisements to equate in a loss of money, and besides there's no way they can prove it. Anyways. I thought the event was awesome! I tuned in during the afternoon to see an awesome series vs nerchio and then some hilarious 4v4. I wish I could of stayed longer but off to work I had to go =( Sheth and Destiny are both awesome for doing this. Congratulations to you both.

Also, there couldn't have been more than 5 different commercials the whole time. I loved the streams and found it very entertaining. I even donated which I rarely do for charity streams. Also, as a protoss player I was more entertained than usual by Destiny playing protoss. I can't wait to hear what the grand total was.

My point is, that one should be careful with the whole; "I will leave the stream on 240p and never watch it", because in the long run, that might come across to the advertisers as negative.

You say this as though the advertisers are trolling through TL forums to see who actually watches their shit and then cry when people just run the streams without watching.

But you have to look at the other points of view as well. For instance, people could literally make a living out of this, making twitch tv even more viable as many see it as a way to make a living. We already know destiny does, but others who purely stream will have a better chance of succeeding if we just leave their stream on and they constantly play ads. Also, another idea would be so you cant mute the streams, so the ads would keep playing in your minds all day. This would make the advertisers happy, and you wouldnt feel so guilty anymore Finally, and most importantly, its not illegal, so we can do it ! loopholes are everywhere in the legal system , especially regarding the internet. Although they may take action in the future, we could provide living opportunities for streamers now, and give lots to charity now, by 'exploiting' (for lack of a better word) the system

He posted a scam link in the chat and it seems like some people have fallen into his trap and instead of donating money to doctors without borders have given him the money instead. Here the reddit link. http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/kfrry/asshole_who_stole_money_from_shethinys_charity/

Phoenix, man he can be so funny, and really BM, but in a funny way. "Oh mai gah" <- one of the funniest things ever. The Huge FFA with CombatEX, all I have to say about that is trolololo, lolololol and omg archon toilet. Destiny passing out, even though he crashed for like, 30-40 min, his stream still had 6-7k viewers, there were some pretty damn dedicated people who weren't going to give up. Destiny's chat, love that place always <3 Chad mother f'ing jones. It's not Hipster, it's Chadster. All the money raised. The BM The lulz Sheth always wanting to do Sc2 BW at the end And the last game with WhiteRa. Overall this was a great event, and I was glad to stick with it through out the entirety :D <3 Sheth, Destiny and the community. gg guys.
