Juan deserves a better team. One that isn't affiliated with a shady penny auction site and one that will actually send him to Korea or at the very least ALL MLGs.

He's by far the best free agent in the Americas region right now. Any team that gets him should be considered lucky.

LOL lucky? How so?
Sponsor is all about public image, and what do you think the public think of him? He was kicked out of ROOT and now released for SixJax. Don't even get me started on his BW History lol

Again lets hold what a SIXTEEN year old kid did against him in a scene that barely could be called professional at the time. I mean, when you go for a job interview would you want everything stupid that you did as a kid/teenager held against you?

it doesn't matter.
unless he can get the teams recommending him, that will just leave a bad impression.

You go try switching between 5 jobs within a year and if they ever asked why, and you answered because you are looking for a better company, you won't get employed unless the companies you left recommend you

I don't get why people are so angry. If you hate him you should be happy he's off sixjax. If you like him you should be happy he's off sixjax.

unfortunately, he doesnt have any major tournament wins.

if that's how you're judging a player's skill then you're doing it wrong

ummm... how am i supposed to judge his skill if not his performance against other good players in a tournament format?

do u realize how hard it is to win a major tournament?

I don't think anyone considers major a top player in the scene but in terms of the NA scene he is one of the best.

getting rank 4 in the ELO rating is impressive and that's how you should judge him. He's a great player and is getting better all the time

correct me if i am wrong, but ELO is based on tournament performances, right? so, tournaments are what we should basing his skill on, correct? except major's history consists mostly of low level tournament wins and some low level performances at biggies like MLG and some others. as i recall, he has never hit a high place in any major tournament. if he is one of the best in NA then you would expect to see some better results.

not sure why you are going so agro on this, i never said he was a bad player. all i said was that he has never had any major tournament wins.

Not true in the slightest. You are making it sound like every team will be wanting to sign him when in fact it will be very few. Doesn't matter how good you are if your past 'job' history is tarnished by things.

Let's see Dan Marino, zero Super Bowl wins, Patrick Ewing zero NBA championships rings, Tony Gwynn zero World Series rings. Yet all 3 are considered some of the greatest players of all time in their sports and are on the Hall of Fame. Just saying sometimes you can be considered good even if you haven't won anything.

Doesn't matter how good you are at something if you're impossible to work with. Not saying that he is, just pointing out that being talented isn't a free card to act however you want to. Balotelli comes to mind, if you're into soccer.

Comparing team sports with individual ones, really? Do I have to point out where that comparison fails?

most big teams really care about the reputation, check out EG with all their videos,TL is another one, CoL seems extremely strict as well.

Will he get another team? maybe newly established ones that wants attention and publicity. would they get him to korea? doubt so

TBH it is really nothing like 5 different jobs within a year.

Not comparing the sports at all, I'm simply pointing the the difference in perceptions in how people say a player is good or not.
And if you want a individual sport, I'll give you Phil Mickelson in golf, before he won his 1st major, was still considered one of the best golfers in the world.

not sure why you are going so agro on this, i never said he was a bad player. all i said was that he has never had any major tournament wins.

what?

look at his profile and check out the tournaments and tell me the people he beat to get 1st or second were low level players.

not impressed. i won't clutter this thread anymore though. you obviously think he is great and i will leave you to your opinion.

Well, as in all thread, people are going at each other just for the sake of going at each other.

It seems to me like Major gets screwed over, and he doesn't like it. If I was promised by my team twice that I was going to go to Korea, and then it never happened, I would be a bit frustrated.

That said, Major has a bit of an attitude, but it's not like everyone is treating him with the greatest consideration, respect, and holiness and he's just being evil. In fact, if that's the case with anyone, it's Idra, and people just say "Oh, that's just idra. keke <3" But with Major, oh no, he's made out to be a devil when he does similar things. Not very fair imo :S.
