Hello Everyone,
CheckSix Gaming is proud to announce that the former Team MvP player and GSL participant Kim ‘Lure’ Do Kyung, who now wishes to go by the handle ‘Luer,’ has joined its Starcraft 2 squad. Lure’s last GSL appearance was in GSL May Code A, where he was eliminated by two-time GSL Champion IMMvp. At only 16 years old, Lure has shown tremendous potential and undoubtedly a bright professional future ahead of him. Also joining CheckSix is Min ‘Leader’ Woo An, a former player and manager of Team MvP, who now wishes to go by the handle ‘PeGaSuS.’ At the present time, neither Lure nor PeGaSuS will be moving to America. Instead, the two players will be based in Korea and will represent CheckSix in team and individual events all around the world.

“This is a decision that was most certainly not made lightly. We are not picking up a Korean player, just for the sake of having a Korean player. We had the opportunity to pick up two great additions to the CheckSix team; so that is exactly what we did,” said Curt ‘KeyHunt’ Carter. We hope that this acquisition will better our team with Luer as a player and PeGaSuS acting as a manager, liaison and player.
CheckSix manager Nicholas ‘Vhalin’ Yniguez also had this to say: "I am extremely excited with our addition of Luer (xSixLuer) and Leader (xSixPeGaSuS) to our Starcraft 2 team. They have both have grown with the team quickly and made friends despite the language barrier. I look forward to the betterment of both parties and the continuation of being one of the top North American teams."
“Hopefully you guys will not only enjoy Luer and PeGaSuS now on the team, but many of the other current players on CheckSix. Thanks again to our sponsors TteSPORTS, Puretrak and GamersUniform. Without them, none of this would be possible," added KeyHunt.

I think Lure changed his name to "Luer" which is a more unique (aka neverbeforeseen) spelling.
Grats to Luer and Pegasus, which is a fucking awesome name btw.

Wait, what? Does this mean MVP doesn't have a coach anymore? Or did they have multiple coaches? Seems like a lot of koreans are getting picked up by foreigners now. Everyday there's news about a player switching teams :p

That's how he spells his name
|
I guess I'll say this bluntly, but seems like the Koreans are going to continue to join no-name teams just for a few quick easy bucks, I see no other reason why Lure would do this. He pretty much threw away all the potential to improve, check6 has nothing to offer in terms of practice partners(a full roster of no names).
|
Just to be completely clear he was Lure and he also wanted his name purposefully like Luer, so I know it's confusing haha.
|
Yea folks sorry for the confusion, he wanted to change his name to Luer instead of the original spelling of Lure. So the banner does reveal the proper spelling per his instruction Thanks again guys for all of your support. Please cheer for our players at MLG Anaheim and best of luck to all playing in the event.
Players at the event:
xSixArcanne
xSixShadow
xSixVer
xSixThisIsJimmy
xSixMystik
xSixKooL
Thanks again-Vhalin

That's a huge roster. Are you guys going to be releasing people anytime soon?

Sure xsix isn't a top team but they have a lot of great players. No need for rude comments like that

Yes, we are slowly making steps to better our SC2 team. It's a constant work-in-progress. The core group of guys, with our recent additions, is a pretty solid lineup.
Thanks for all of the support, guys.
