TL Attack this week will be with special guest mouz.ThorZaIN. Thorzain's most notable achievement is his ninth place finish at MLG Columbus 2011. He also played WarCraft 3 at a very high level. If you want a chance to play against him, just log on to Bnet EU server and we'll be giving instructions on which channel to go to.
TL Attack will be hosted this weekend by Hot_Bid and Dignitas.NaNiwa. Why Naniwa? Well, if you remember, Naniwa defeated ThorZaIN 2-0 in the Inferno Online tournament back in May, so they have some history. We'll be doing our best to distract Thorzain and ask about the new Avengers movie coming out next year. Kulas extreme and SC2BW may make an appearance as well. If you don't get in, don't worry, we'll be streaming every minute!
The show will begin Sunday, Jul 24 6:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00).
TeamLiquid Attack is a fun, casual event where a popular professional StarCraft 2 player plays custom 1v1s against community members. Typically, the player attempts creative or non-serious strategies while sharing friendly banter with the hosts. The show is a great way to get to know the personality of the popular player that might not normally be seen in serious ladder games or in tournaments.

After a successful career on Sweden's Warcraft III team, I'm glad to see ThorZain giving SC II a try. I think with some hard work he can definitely become a good player.

Wow, I was thinking earlier what would be awesome combinations for these and I actually thought of having Thorzain and Naniwa on the same time. A dream come true!
Thank god incontrol isn't casting, he was horrible. Hotbid is like a nightmare for anyone on TL attack, and I bet Nani can really throw TZain off of his game.

You should watch the VODs of some of the older ones dude...good times all round.
i don't know, 9th place at MLG is pretty damn good, but he hasn't shown any other results. Tbh i'm ashamed they'd let such an unestablished newbie on TL attack.
What happened with the first episodes of Season 3 that were always hosted by Incontrol and Chill ? The ones from the beginning of Starcraft 2 with QXC and Tyler. Those were some pretty good eps tbh, and that host combo is way better than most of what I've seen from this new Season 3.
i think a lot of people severely underestimate Nani's trolling capacities. the real fight will be between him and Hot_Bid. and did i mention how awesome the whole thing is?
When i first saw thorzain it was from the TSL graphic sketches (btw, those sketches were amazing) when I finally saw thorzain IRL, i was like gat damn, that was pretty generous! If he removed glasses and got a tan, he would look like he did in the sketch. I think he should do both!

(i'm a fan, not a troll!)
Pro gamer + tan?! He'd lose atleast 50 apm if he would have a tan.

I'm not sure if you're joking or not. If your comment is serious I have to ask where you've been the last 5 months when Thorzain has shown his A game. I think both TSL and MLG proves that hes already a "good" player.

I thought ThorZaiN most notable achievement was winning TSL3?

Not this time Hotbid, I refuse to fall for the troll...So hard....to refuse..... I hope you troll more during the TL Attack than before. Aww, and it's on the EU server...
You know I'm not sure why Thorzain is on TL attack, it's nice you're giving some time to an up and coming player but I thought this was supposed to be for people who already top sc2 players

I don't think that there is an easy way to say this, but you just got trolled..
Hahaha, I read the "most notable achievement" being 9th place at MLG, I scrolled up immediately to see who wrote the text, and surprise, surprise, it was Hot_Bid!!!

Yeah most likely. Would be strange for someone like Waxangel to not know. But then again I dont know if hes still hocked on BW fulltime.
This is a great way of giving Naniwa another round at TLA. I have no idea how his casting will go, but he has more than adequate support. Any time it's Chill or Hot_Bid behind the mic I know I'm in for casting greatness.
I'm really pumped for this event. If JTV is still fucking up after my regional commercials I'll be sure to catch those VODs tomorrow.
This TL attack is sooooooooooo good!!! and I thought the Sen one was fantastic, this one is even better! I hope they do a Wc3 match towards the end or something :D
Hotbid: Every protoss unit is better Nani: What unit? ...
Nani: Yeah yeah that's what I thought.
Thorzain: Marauders can't hit air. Nani:
Nani: I have no opinion about terran whatsoever. ~~ Hotbid: You guys should switch races. Thorzain: Not worth it. Not enough practice.... Nani: You'll go home as silver while I'll be GSL champion.

Hope no one thinks Nani is still bitter toward Thorzain. I'm sure he's still beating himself up a bit about TSL because that seems to be his personality, but the trolling actually makes it seem like he respects Thorzain more...

Does not seem there any bitterness between the 2 if judging form TL attack, they are gunna be teammates soon so they better be awesome.
They are TSL TOP2 of the same nationality - they obviously have large respect for each other - which means they can troll each other as much as they want.
BTW, as someone mentioned in chat - all swedish players should play Terran imo. Comeon: Vikings and Thors. :D

Okay, let me clarify, I think when he trolls people he's had a history with, Thorzain at TSL, Huk at HSC, then I think the "inside joke" factor pushes the trolling to a higher level...
but if they had... Spanishiwa do a TLA (I don't think Nani's had a big match, or any, against Spanishiwa), it'd definitely be still enjoyable, but not have that additional flavor.

They're both going to Korea to compete
Oh yeah, no co-sponsors between Dignitas and a Korean team or between Mouz and a Korean team, I guess they'll both be in GOM house?

I'm loving this. Bringing Naniwa in to a Thorzain TL Attack was a stroke of genius. That coupled with HotBid trolling makes this TL Attack a bucket of laughter
Hot_Bid: "The zerglings are on the way" Thorzain: "That seems hard since the spawning pool takes 60 seconds to build" Nani: "No it doesn't" Thorzain: "50 seconds?" Nani: "65 learn the fucking game!"
hehe that was actually brilliant, didnt even think he'd be doing it like that the repair in air is brilliant though, love it combined with hellion drops
Depends on how you look at it...do you see medivac in game is big enough to hold small mechanic units, why is it not valid they could be repair. I mean look at it from real life miltary standpoint....small tanks and such on aircraft big enough to hold them can be worked on while on the aircraft.
So I agree this is probably not a bug if the medivac is large enough to carry 4 hellion why it is not concievable they can be repaired while onboard?
This is the funniest thing I've seen in a while. Hot_Bid is his usual trolling self, Naniwa is downright hilarious and Thorzain has this sort of deadpan delivery whenever he says something. Great combination!
Gotta agree, this is better than SEn's. I think this one and HuK's are the best. HuK's for the atmosphere and Tyler's "coaching" and the Haypro SC2BW series...
Didn't think it this would be that good with two people this "dry", but it actually was the most entertaining TLA (for sc2 at least :>) so far, good job! Kind of sad it didn't get more viewers, the day9 monobattles got like 5x as many TT.
Great show today, the Naniwa/thorzain dynamic was awesome. Certainly better than last week, and a million billion times better than the barking dog/excess background noise of two weeks ago.
God I can't wait for the vods of this! I didn't want to read too much of the thread as I don't want too much spoiled, but from what I did see, it seems like this was a really good TL Attack.
Naniwa and Hot_Bid are the TL attack casting dream team. I can never get enough of Naniwa talking about being the best in the world and talking shit to Thorzain. Such a great show.
That TL Attack was amazing. I just watched it, and, I have to say, that it was very entertaining. Naniwa is very funny, and all three guys had really good play off each other.
Would love to see some kind of future episode with them. Maybe have some kind of special event where TL invites pros to do 3v3 and 4v4 games.
I was expecting it to be dry with nAni's weird voice and Thorzains shy outlook. Thankfully it was a comfertable setting between two friends and add the scandinavian sarcasm it was a great show.
nAni ranting about repairing inside medivac was hillarious "You broke the game again, Thorzain!"
This was the best TLA so far, I think they should just bring on a friend of Naniwa each week and have Naniwa, Hot_Bid and the guess trolling each other constantly. Maybe Haypro or Sjow next time.
"He plays Terran so he has experience of infinite minerals." Trolololol.

Are you kidding me? I don't know why everyone thinks that one was good, I personally think that the others were much better. Yeah naniwa just trolling thorzain, on theory fun but when he doesn't defend himself and troll back I cannot help but feel bad for him. And thorzain was sighing during the whole TLA and the only fun game to watch was the one with the medivacs/vikings, the rest of the games were really boring. As for hot_bid, I personally love when he trolls and he was too busy defending thorzain instead of trolling so... For me personally the other TL attacks were much more enjoyable to watch, it's a mystery for my why all think this one was better than the rest.
So good TL Attck, Nani so funny, nice combo with hot_bid and Thorzain. I have to say it: Nani make an incredible funny show without having to flame or make bad jokes about the random players who play aganist the pro.

Best TLA so far, definetly had the most lols, but at the end it was bad with naniwa constantly trolling and helping out the enemies so trollbid had to help/defend tzain.

Yeah, but that's real APM. I think the above poster was talking about SC2 APM, which is 25%(?) lower? Still, July wins though.
the way naniwa says 'no' also really cracks me up. sounds so indignant.
i'm not sure if it's his accent or his tone haha.
aside from how funny naniwa and hotbid were though, the other thing i liked was some of the disadvantages. i'd like to see more games where terran are forced to play without mules. i think they could adapt better than people realise.

Weird voice? C'mon. nAni's voice is beautiful. Especially when he says "no". It just sounds so different.
This was one of the greatest TLA's ever, imo! Many lulz be had. :3
I liked how Thorzain was quite correct in his answers about being ahead or not, in different situations. edit: Maybe it would make TL Attacks even more spicy if you always ask the player to say exactly how much supply have his opponents in different moments of the games. Clearly, they can't know that too well, but it's curious to see by how much they could be off in their assessments. It's a nice training.
