I'm actually starting to think I should have put MMA as my anti-team. It's not the fact that I expect him to lose, it's the fact he is always the last player. There is going to be very few chances for him to actually win a lot of games. Not only that, but I could have then added on 2 other players who I just simply know will never see the light of starcraft.

Even as the last player he can win a lot of games. Like today DRG won 3 and last GSTL MMA won 3 in a row too and few other ones. Don't panic from one showing, putting him in anti-team is very premature. He will be bringing the points don't worry. Then again I didn't choose MMA and took DRG so maybe I'm just trying to keep you off from competing from 1st spot

It's kind of amazing how Alicia gets half the points DRG does beating up on some... ahem, lower-class players while DRG is thrown to the wolves against Boxer and two the best terrans in the world. I guess there really is a ton of value in picking starters who can pick up some easy streaks to start off.

Skill of opponents does not have an effect and should never have effect on points gained for wins. Alicia winning 2 games to DRGs 3 games shouldn't even be that big of a gap if you dont take the streak into account as well as the team point win. Also, the fact that Alicia lost a game because he was put out earlier counts for even less points.

GuineaPig - 3 points
Boxer - 2 points
DonRaeGu - 11 points (do both streaks count? Otherwise 10 points)
MVP (team) - 2 points
PLUS - any bonus MVP players (who receive 1 point for being on the winning team)
= 23+

As far as I can tell captains do not affect scoring and only are there for tiebreaks and being untradeable.
The captain of your team is the same as a regular player with the exception that they cannot be traded.
Tie-breaks are decided by the team captain's score.
DRG -
Wins = 6 pts
Appearance = 1 pt
Team Win = 1
Total = 8
Alicia -
Wins = 4
Loss = -1
Appearance = 1
Total = 4
EDIT : Actually the person above is correct, the streak points are only for BREAKING streaks not creating streaks.

I'm taking this chance - putting MMA on my anti-team allowed me to put a 1-point person who probably won't play and then Fenix from F United. So far so good (1 match, 0 points)

You get points for breaking another player's streak, not for going on a streak yourself. At least that's how I understood it. So GuineaPig gets +1 for breaking Alicia's streak but no + do DRG because he didn't break any streak.

You misread the scoring rules, bittman. It's 1 point and 2 points for 2-kill and 3-kill streak BREAKS. The only person who got a streak BREAK today was Guineapig over Alicia.

Streak breaking puts more value into snipers and aces. You get rewarded enough for racking up wins purely by the points given per win.
