I bet he has "figured out" that if you put Moon, Naniwa and Thorzain on your anti team you won't lose any points. Then he put Nestea, Losira and MVP on his roster and filled the rest with cool names.

New at this so I just picked who i thought was good for what thier point value was. Other then that I picked pretty much from what i know. I'm not sure if my team is complete shit or not but we will Find out now wont we. I picked cella as the coach cause Cella is just straight awesome.

After looking through some other teams I am really starting to worry if putting Alicia on my anti was a good idea. I know he is a great toss but I figured I'd go with the Kratoss and then pick up Huk for cheap. Picking up both MC and Nestea sure does make it hard to fill out the rest of the team. I tried to pick up a nice variety of teams/players/races so we will see. I've only been following the SC2 scene as a whole for a couple months so I'm still new at it all! Good luck to everyone!

so i have ogsHero and BbongBbong as my one pointers already on my roster with one point left. i had SocceR on there also, but realized that he wouldn't play until week 6 
so any other one point "steals" i can get that will play some in the first 5 weeks before i trade for SocceR?

Notdefect, you can still change ur team, you have 9 hours left until signups are done.
Some friendly advice, you can do with it as you will: :D
-don't pick NesTea because he's on a team with LosirA and Mvp, so he's not the sole ace of that team, so won't get as much playing time.
-Wolf won't get any playing time basically, so find better one pointers like Hero.
-same with Boxer
-you definitely do not want Alicia on ur anti, he starts for SlayerS, and hes good, so he'll probably screw you over, get someone else, like Trickster

I grabbed Alicia and Bomber first as these 2 players have had tremendous team league showings in the past and are strong overall, giving me a good foundation. It was really a toss up between Bomber and MMA for me but I decided as I am choosing SlayersS as a team anyway (seems like the obvious choice) picking a non SlayerS player with the same value will allow me to cover more matches with possible points (maybe not the best strategy we will see). I've been a GuienaPig fan for awhile now so that might bias me into wasting 5 points for him but due to some impressive showings in team formats I hope it will pay off. Byun is a great rising star Terran maybe not worth 4 points but I took a risk here as I feel he will at least show good results even if he gets less play time then others. As for the others? Huk is a steal at 1 point as is ViOlet at 2, and I have a feeling that Taeja and Junwi are going to up their game this GSTL.
As for my anti team, Clide is a shoe in because of the Tastosis curse, Moon seems to always lose clutch games and is massively overpriced at 5, and Naniwa idk this was a really tough call but i feel out of all the remaining 4+ point players on the list he is unfortunately the worst.
Well anyone seeing any glaring flaws in my team let me know :p otherwise good luck.

i dropped boxer,picked up huk, used the extra point to get clide. i just can't stop!

Those anti's are pretty bad dude, DRG and Youngwha are good and will play a lot. Thorzain/Naniwa wont be playing for 6 weeks so I'm not sure if they're worth being in the initial lineup, but I understand people who want them in.

Dude, DRG and YoungHwa in your antis? DRG is an ace, he will probably play at least once for MVP every match and get some wins. YoungHwa has played a shit ton of games for IM, he's probably going to be their most valuable mid-range player, killing a lot of players after their lead-off has lost (and against the weak teams in their division, he'll probably three-/all-kill when he gets the chance). Try to pick players for your main team who are likely to play, and players who are not likely to play for your anti-team, as you get -1 points if they play.

Well, he qualified for Code A, and the hype feels similar to DRG's before the GSTL May. Apparently a beast at WC3 (although Grubby and Moon should render this argument ineffective).

Since you have to trade for higher value with your anti-team, I wouldn't recommend it. Especially since your anti-team will rise in value when they don't get played, and when their matches actually do come around they will get played (only 5 players on the roster).

That's what I figured. Unless 3 FXO players completely wreck, there is no way to trade up to them, so it's likely that you won't be able to trade at all. That's why I went with 3 inconsistent players instead.

i thought it was -1 point if they win and +1 if they lose. i was banking on them playing and losing. isn't that the point of the anti? or have i missed it entirely? then again, i maybe be drastically undervaluing the lack of parity between teams...and even the 3rd 4th best player on some teams is vastly better than all players on others?

I had already chosen QxC, as I thought for 2 points he would be getting many appearances for his team, but the appearance of asd/Nuclear made me also go with Nuclear instead of Violet. Soccer is at 1 point and given the apparent lack of players for FU, I felt he was worth it. Ace has had seemingly a good number of appearances for being 2 minerals, while my personal bias and also the fact that I can't remember another Zenex protoss made me choose Puzzle at 2 minerals. Keen is kind of a risky pick for me, since I believe he only had 0/1 appearances in the last GSTL, but I do believe he is the best terran on the team, and thus will get a good share of appearances. MC and DRG are based heavily on personal favorites, but I believe that as both are Aces and capable of multi kills, I chose them. Also, MC may be a bit of a stretch in some case as oGs should be a good team on paper and not necessarily need MC to save them every series, but in the past it has seemed that way. I feel more confident that MVP will fairly regularly have to go to DRG. I don't personally have team IM or its players as favorites, but given their overall depth, I felt that the additional ~4 minerals going from a middle tier team to IM would be worth it.

+ Show Spoiler +4 Curious5 GanZi4 MakaHaven't heard of curious, Maka is on a team full of terrans and arguably 2+ (Polt, MK) that are at the moment better, and Ganzi also is overshadowed by 2+ terrans (MMA, Ryung).
