I just need one answer:

Who is more valuable and consistent for ZeNEX, CoCa or Puzzle?

I picked Puzzle. CoCa doesn't seem consistent to me, and I think Puzzle has improved since last GSTL. I feel uncomfortable with both, though. Puzzle also seems to be sent out first.

One big question guys:

Are you allowed to trade your chosen TEAM?

For example, if you have FXO as your team, and then when the 1st half of the season is almost over, you see they have almost no games left to play. Can you then trade for F.United?

Yes, but don't forget about the weighted trade value! X.United will be worth a lot more towards the end of the season, especially if FXO loses most of their games.

True but most of Coca's losses were against top-tier terrans, and his ZvP looks good enough to warrant a sniper role. Have you seen the iCCup weekly where both of them played?

No, how did they fare? I've only checked out the GSTL games.

Main Team
5 (P)Alicia - Joining the herd
8 (Z)DongRaeGu (captain) - Needed a Zerg
5 (T)GanZi - Tends to play a lot
1 (P)Hero - This bad he is not
1 (T)IMHappy - Seems he's on a roll
3 (P)Seed - He's good I've been told
2 (T)Yoda - Think he's come to play
3 (P)Younghwa - Nothing much to say
8 Incredible Miracle - All about the draw

Anti Team
5 (T)Lyn - Just because I saw
5 (Z)Moon - Written on the sched
4 (T)ThorZaIN - These 3 ain't playing yet

I was contemplating having Seed and Younghwa on my team but they're both on the same team and same race. Anyone know if they fulfill different roles or would this be redundant?

They are both sent out in the middle (possibly to snipe Ps), but I think YoungHwa is a lot better.

Thanks. There isn't an obvious 3 point person to trade him for unfortunately and I think I'm content with the rest of my line-up... maybe Twilight?

Coca lost in Round 5 to Puma, who eventually won the entire thing. Puzzle got to the finals and lost 4-1 to Puma. I haven't seen the games myself; I'm waiting for the VODs.

And now I'm seriously considering Puma as a TvP sniper for TSL. From what I've heard he's a beast in that matchup...

I do wonder if F-united will be the surprise team hit for 1 point.

Naniwa is just plain solid.

Moon seems to have come on leaps and bounds in his play.

And I can see thorzain being used as a sniper for opposition aces, with his carefully prepared and planned builds to take some more korean scalps to add to his collection.

I'm pretty sure Puzzle is widely considered to be one of the top tier Protosses in Korea (read: should be code s), and is perhaps even considered one of the Aces of Zenex.

I would definitely put He and Puma as the best value in the draft at 2 points, that's way low ball for two players who were at one time considered among the best up and comers in SCBW imo.

Ace: heard hes a steal for that much

thoughts?

so someone asked what my team is, so its posted under the spoiler below. atm, i'm going for Ace, but is there anything i'm missing about the other players?

Korean my Wayward Son

I'm super fond of my team name. With that being said...

Main Team
2 (P)Ace - As many other people have said, a steal at two points
1 (P)HuK - Hot off of the win at DreamHack, you know he's got to be feeling confident.
8 (T)MarineKing - My favorite Terran to watch. I (poorly) model my play after this guy.
8 (Z)NesTea (captain) - Arguably the best player in the world and sure to rally together some wins.
3 (P)Seed - A good mid-tier player to fill out my roster.
1 (T)Special - Not very familiar with the guy, but with a name like Special, I've got to hope for the best.
4 (P)Squirtle - A GSTL superstar. I'm hoping for a nice spree from this Protoss powerhouse.
3 (T)SuperNoVa - I like him at 3 points.
6 SlayerS - Can't discount a team run by The Emperor himself.

Anti Team
4 (Z)FruitDealer - I just haven't seen anything from the former GSL champ that has impressed me lately.
5 (R)GuineaPig - A guy with a big point value that I haven't heard much of. Hoping for a little bit of luck here.
4 (T)Maka - I think this guy has been largely figured out at this point and will be an easy win for his opponents.

Purple Protoss

Main Team
2 (P)Ace - A steal for only 2 points. He has had some great games in GSTL.
2 (T)BoxeR - Also a steal for 2 points, in my opinion.
1 (P)HuK - The best value for the point ever. Every team will want him.
5 (Z)July - A very solid player. Probably underpriced.
9 (P)MC (captain) - Worth every point. I still think he is the most consistent player of all time.
4 (T)NaDa - High potential. I still see him improve leaps every time I watch him play.
4 (P)NaNiwa - Another very consistent player. Definitely worth more than 4 points.
3 (Z)Sheth - Sheth is the most badmannered player in the world.
6 SlayerS - Such an extremely skilled team.

Anti Team
4 (T)Clide - somewhat overrated. He has yet to show results.
5 (T)GanZi - A risk for me. I think GanZi is a very good player. I think he is one of the weaker 5 pointers though.
4 (T)Maka - past his prime. I don't see him making a comeback.

MLG-Kyle, you might want to avoid Guinea on anti-team, he's done pretty well in team formats.

Thanks, I will keep Puzzle, then. I value ZeNex players higher because of their easier group and TSL's fairly poor showings in the past (as well as their harder group).

My main team is really similar to yours except a little more limited because I think IM is the superior choice (point-scoring wise) and they're 8 pts instead of 6, so I have less points for other players

This is 37/36 I like this setup as it's pretty balanced in terms of teams (solid guys from MVP, fOu, IM, SlayerS, Prime, ST, and oGs) and I want to maximize the bonus points I get from players on the winning team of a match. Plus I think these guys are likely to play. I guess the most obvious downsize is (P)Younghwa or (T)GuMiho but I still kinda want both of them. Anyone have suggestions for modifications/alternatives?
Alright wasted way too much time thinking about it again and I revised my team again, this is like the 5th lineup lol. I switched MMA for Alicia and put in some more mid-range players. It's a little less balanced team-wise (no prime/ogs) but I might make a trade later on when they play more. Let me know what you think.

Also this version is heavily based on team matchups, e.g. normally I would'nt pick Ace but I want someone on ST as I think they should win most of their matches pretty easy. Plus maybe he can score some wins on weaker teams.

so EZ

Sooo most of your time in this thread has been spent talking shit about other peoples picks. I'm calling you out on it: What are your immaculate picks? You can't just come in here and shit all over everyone man, that's not right. So reveal your alleged genius to everyone so you can actually back up what you say.
