I most likely will be recording all the videos inside Zbrush and then Uploading them from now on, I fear that streaming / recording and sculpting will make zbrush unstable but I will try it out. Thanks for that tip.

Well I work 7 hours a day , this is something I'm going to do after work or if I get a day off. In the interest of time I will keep it to only sculpts.
I may go into more complex or full character sculpts later on, but for now the 2 hour or so sculpting sessions is good for me.

Impressive! I like to dabble in Blender when I play with 3d stuff but I've just never gotten the hang of any type of ZBrush work. You make it look so easy! Though the actual Zbrush interface looks a lot nicer than the Zbrush impostor modes in other 3d programs. The way the brush tilts to show you what axis you're on, thats pretty cool.
Keep up the impressive work! I'd love to see some full bodies, the bust are great, but full bodies would be even cooler!

Yes there will be vods I am going to mess with Xsplit so that it automaticaly records stuff. And the timelapse videos will be uploaded to my vimeo most likely. You can find the zergling full video on the thread link above ! Unfortunately I did not record Tassadar ! But oh well.

After you rotate your perspective a bit, I'm like "Oh dude the wings are so much more bad ass now!" So I decided that while the blueish metal material looked cool it just made this model look like a mess, and I don't like messes.
Reuploaded the queen with another material so you guys can see more detail of the work.

I really appreciate you doing this.
I have no skill in 3D modeling but it has always been a mystery to me how these artists come up with such amazingly detailed models (every time i watch a CGI movie it just amazes me how they do this kind of stuff with a computer).
So it's great seeing the process from start to finish! Have you ever tried textures or lighting? That's another thing that amazes me and would love to see from start to finish.

The reference I used had the armored vambrace outside the cloak as well as his hand, the rest of the arm is covered.

Best thing I could say to answer this is tune into the stream, I interact a lot with the chat and I always show the workflow and go out of my way to explain how somethings are done. You can always just pick the trial up, its a great software.

Like I said, I was doing a web design with the Hydra sculpt you did. I'm nowhere near a good designer (in fact, I can't even call myself a designer what-so-ever), but my brother's SC2 clan had a horrible free template and I attempted to help that situation with a little design.
So yes, it's not really "nice" but it's something, and after asking you permission to use your hydra, you told me NP as long as I showed you the design, so here it is.

RuN, you are amazing. I saw your stream a while ago and I thought "huh, cool" but didn't check any further at that time. I now regret that very much. You are clearly very talented, friendly and chill. I'm not that much into graphic art, though I do some pencil sketches from time to time, but I really enjoy your work.
I'd love to see you do some terran infantry or some non-starcraft special forces type of character, but any concept will turn out great in your hands. I hope you get to live your dream, maybe get hired to do the graphics for some amazing game, because you sure deserve it.

I was really worried that everything was getting much too complicated. The sacs on the back weren't smooth like regular infestor sacs and the face plates were also much too wrinkled. However, the final result with the texturing is VERY cool. You smoothed out the face plates and made the sacs look like skinless flesh. The eyes, tentacles and legs all look amazing. Heck, everything looks 1000% better after the final day.

yeah it's amazing
but he's not going for an exact replica. he takes the "regular" image and tweaks it a bit as he likes. Can't remember when he explained that though.

Now and then you mention Sculptris as a beginners alternative to Zbrush.
It would be great if you could make a tutorial introducing the different Sculptris tools!
You could show how one of your projects would be done with it. Maybe a guided tour threw the menus and then a quick low res version of the zergling head with some parts in high res for example.

Wow I'm sad I didn't get to see you sculpt the Zergling, but boy does it look great. Timezones man, what can you do.
Now I know that you obviously only do models you like (and that's obvious) and you probably already know what you're going to do for the next few shows, but I'd like to suggest two amazing characters that I feel would not only be awesome for us, but possibly a neat challenge for you as you can have quite a bit of details like scars, wounds and equipment.
Would you like to sculpt a Predator or maybe an Alien (from their respective series)? I'm sure your talent and passion (provided you'd enjoy doing this) would result in an amazing sculpture that looks fearsome, feral and quite awesome.

Every time I start playing Starcraft I do it to get better, after each win I check TL for streams for either Steven or Bitter to try learn Zerg abit better that what I can.. And each time I see RuN streaming I have to look at it. It's absolutely mesmerizing and this is about the 4th time or so I've been stuck at a stream for hours on end without leaving the computer, just being amazed by his work.
Everyone should come watch RuN :-)

It's a cube! And it has a face! And horns!
Just tried out sculpting myself. Used blender. With a pen.
It's so intuitive and fast! As long as you push the right polygons ...which is so not intuitive. But it certainly looks funny :-)

I think I posted in this thread awhile back, but tonight is the first time I've actually gotten the chance to tune in. I just wanted to say that the show is awesome! Extremely fun to watch and helpful/informative.
Quick question (I apologize if this is asked/answered elsewhere): What control scheme do you use for moving around the models? It doesn't look like there's a lot of movement in the webcam view, but you seem to have an incredible degree of control with movements and rotation of your view. I've never used zbrush, so I'm not really familiar with how you move around.

I think your art is amazing. Just as a personal opinion for your Blizzard stuff, I feel like your proportions are just a tiny bit off and that makes the models look a little strange. As an example, one of your DTs looked too skinny. I don't know anything about this, but perhaps you should spend a little more time on the general frame of the model in the beginning. Aside from that, great work! You are extremely talented.
