Great interview, really awesome. Definitely can't get enough Jinro.

I think between Jinro and IdrA it's pretty hard to bet on IdrA. He's such a solid player but so is Jinro and you'd be hard pressed to say that Jinro wasn't the more flexible of the two. Jinro saying that the maps would decide it seems to me to be more polite than accurate. On the other hand, IdrA still is my BM macro hero and I almost feel like Jinro's style complements IdrA's. So who knows.

It would be interesting to hear idras thoughts about the upcoming match against jinro. For some reason i don't think he would be polite. I don't know why Jinros style would complement idra's though.

Complement?

Also Idra has been saying quite good things about Jinro in the interviews I've heard (although before the got placed in the same group). If he's honest or just don't want to alienate the team liquid community I don't know, but since he usually don't hesitate to speak his mind I think it's the former.

Complement was a response to jakeburtons "complement" but i think that he meant that jinros style would be favourable for idra, probably because both players want to play a macro game. And most people consider idras macro to be his biggest strength and going into a macro game with him to be a suicide.

p.s Hehe hi TBO and Timmyfred!! I wasn't mean in supcom, or was I? :p

Yeah, that is more or less what I meant. Although, one of Jinro's strengths is really that he knows how to play the whole game. So he can force a macro game against all-in-ers and harass players who want to play a macro game. More than that, I don't really know how to compare the quality of his macro game against IdrA's or the quality of his early pressure compared to IdrA's resistance to such pressure (he must get plenty of practice >_>). Additionally, I honestly can't remember watching IdrA playing a macro game in recent memory. I feel like either the fight is fast and dirty or the other player sort of rolls over after 10 minutes.

Great interview! Thanks for sharing.
Even during difficult times, when I sat down to play the game, there were times where it felt like god has descended down and played [for me].

Nice read... and I'm a bit jealous on the Swedes compare to my Norwegian comrades when it comes to gaming. The ratio of great players are like 10 to 1 or so in favore of the Swedes.

They are his friends. Idra is not. ( as far as I'm concerned)

Idra vs Jinro

unless Idra fixes his constant overdroning and Jinro gets through his "holdback-ing", these problems are gonna bite them in their skinny asses!

Jinro actually does like the nickname "Chinro"! I was so afraid he was going to track me down for spreading it!

Exactly my thoughts as well. It's petty to think that the race (ethnicity that is) makes a difference in who you root for. Props to Jinro for being an all around stand up fellow and not as petty. He's definitely got my fan vote =) for taking Idra in a BoX.

We need more players like Jinro. He gets crushed in an hour-long series, but he doesn't knock on MC for "cheesy" play or anything like that. He realizes his weak points and admits that he went for risky play.
now run into the setting sun, and suffer, but don't mess up your hair.
