I did what many people here on teamliquid want to do, I interviewed the swedish star "Jinro" and got answers for all my questions after the GSL. We talked about his games, his thoughts on South Korea and about the upcoming GSL matches. This is a long interview, children won't have the patience to read it. But for some reason I think it was a good call to not edit it down. Here is a taste of the first questions:

Question: Hello Jonathan, how are you?
Jonathan: Well, I have chilled a bit after GSL and taken my time to do things I didn’t have time to do during the tournament. It means go to the gym, watch movies, really everything else other than Starcraft 2.

Does that mean that you had time to get some perspective on the tournament? How does it feel when you look back on your matches?
I am satisfied with my play all the way to the semi-final, I cannot be happy with that even with some perspective. I did not expect to win but I know that I can do better than losing 4-0.

In the latest episode of “State of the game” both Tyler and Day9 reacted on your losing attitude before the games vs oGsMC. Do you think that it mattered in the games versus MC? Did you not believe that you could win?
Yes maybe a little bit. But it is hard to feel positive when even the practise went awful before the semi-final. I did not have time to change my play style as I would had needed to feel more secure, instead I chose to go into those games with greedy and risky builds.

To read more you should visit our gaming blog HERE.

My friend Eric and me will continue to post interviews in both english and swedish on our gaming blog, at our local newspaper. The rest of the content is completely in swedish thus far. We cover all games, but our main focus is on Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft.

I made the interview in both swedish and english language. To read the swedish translated interview you need to scroll down. You can also read my old interviews with Thelittleone and Morrow on the blog, or the articel about World Of Warcraft: Cataclysm in swedish made by Eric.

EDIT: Please feel free to comment with constructive critisism or if you have a wish for a interview with a certain player. For example I had some requests to do a interview with Incontrol.

Peace // Ludvig

Wow, way to come through on this one. This is pretty cool, i was waiting for a response to the 4-0 blow out. Good work on making it that far though. I always love the player interviews, adds more depth to the games they play.
I have returned.

That was an excellent read. It also affirms my feelings that GSL should try fielding custom maps, perhaps crafted by a professional map-making team as in BW. Being the unquestionable biggest, best SC2 league atm, only they have the clout to enforce a standard of using non-ladder maps.

"...and my dad keeps count on which maps are imbalanced for terran. It is funny to get a email from him in which he feel sorry for the maps I have to play."

huh? Terran have maps they are disadvantaged on?

Great interview, really awesome. Definitely can't get enough Jinro.

I think between Jinro and IdrA it's pretty hard to bet on IdrA. He's such a solid player but so is Jinro and you'd be hard pressed to say that Jinro wasn't the more flexible of the two. Jinro saying that the maps would decide it seems to me to be more polite than accurate. On the other hand, IdrA still is my BM macro hero and I almost feel like Jinro's style complements IdrA's. So who knows.

It would be interesting to hear idras thoughts about the upcoming match against jinro. For some reason i don't think he would be polite. I don't know why Jinros style would complement idra's though.

Ya I agree Jinro V IdrA will be awesome. A macro oriented zerg vs a slow, methodical, technically sound terran. We know Idra likes to macro up but how will he do against a Terran who is much more Macro oriented than most others.
Get the hell outta here Der Beek, your'e ruining my moment.
