I still find it a bit odd, personally I always thought saying "gg" was like saying "thank you" when someone holds the door. Not really a conversation starter, just a small bit of courtesy to pass along to others. | ||

Most people I play against don't say anything either. It just really grinds my gears when people instantly cry out when someone just leaves a game that they're being rude/rage quitting, etc. | ||

You don't have to gg at the end, because there's no real need to be nice to someone who already probably will feel good that they won, but if I say GL HF and don't get one back, it feels dehumanizing and unsporting. Kind of like my opponent ignored me going in for a handshake before a game. It's not BM if neither of us tries to shake the other's hand at all beforehand (no pun intended), but rejecting an approach is impolite to me. | ||

I just load into the game, start playing, then get victory screen or leave when it's over. Sometimes I go and just mute at the beginning because I kinda hate when people start ranting in the middle of a game. I've had a lot of close calls where I made decisions that barely barely won me the game. I'll go and watch said reply after having muted the guy, to see him instigating; calling me names, saying things like "your bad get out" and all other types of shit, asking questions about what I have, how many bases ect, among other things, and at that key moment. I can't help but feel that if I were to read that, think about it, or maybe even argue or type for a minute that I wouldn't have been able to win. Plus one time I lost in a pretty frustrating way, where somebody typed a bunch of dumb obscene shit, only I muted them. Luckily I watched this replay on a different day, it would have probably tilted me for my next few matches if I read it. Maybe I'm just sensitive? I dno, I also don't rage at people so I tend to prefer the quiet. | ||

It could be considered similar as someone who doesn't say hello, or doesn't say thank you, or doesn't shake hands. You can do it in real life of course. But it's normal that people consider it BM. | ||

Else, I just load the game, and play. If I lose, I'll just leave and find another match. Maybe it's because I have already played so many games and became cynical. Usually it's those new players who greet me, for some reason | ||
