dude...that was GSL1... it is a well known game(how idra get knocked out by cheese in the first biggest sc2 tourney on planet earth).
the bad stream speed to europe is still bad(i tried LQ stream =_= and ended up go watch restream) so i am defo not paying for this season.

I'm going to see if I can get a refund.
Unable to watch HQ live in EU? Too bad, I'll still pay. Support esports, you know?
[Unable to even watch LQ VOD]
Heh, no.

So far IDRA has been the best, but its going to be sad if we have to root for Loner or Sen or something. TLO had some amazing games in both seasons, I dunno what you're talking about. If he had not had such an unlucky Ro64 pick in SangHo he probably could've gone far in GSL2.
And why would it be "sad" to have to root for Loner or Sen? Both are amazing non-Koreans who have legitimate chances of getting far in the tournament (or rather only Sen does, this season), and Loner has gotten just as far as Idra has IIRC. Don't confuse "foreigner" with "American", some of us other foreign fans might like these other guys more than Idra.
Finally, lol at "sucking horribly". If you're such an amazing foreigner allstar, may I suggest flying over to Korea and trying your hand at the qualifiers?

I sometimes had troubles to watch the stream in season 2, but I bought a ticket again just to support the GSL - I think they fully deserve it and they are trying their best. I want e-Sport to take the right way and grow big outside of Korea / China!

Bought it again, like last 2 seasons, running into problems this time around though.. as I'm not actually able to access the premium service -_-

the VOD quality this season is awful ... there will be a lot of angry buyers

Ya, I don't know what's up but the VODs this season suck ass. They download as if I were on a 56k modem. Really dissapointed atm, but previously it's always been fine, so I'm hoping this is just a temporary thing.

I bought a ticket for this season and don't experience any problems thus far. I hope the streaming quality get better anyway cuz I heard a lot of people having problems aith the HD/premium thing.

Spoiler whine on this site is simply incredible, moreso than any site I've ever been a part of. I feel like if you come to TL, you're here to discuss all things SC2. It comes with the territory you might find out the results of tournaments, especially wonderful tournaments everyone wants to talk about. Coming to a thread about GSL and then complaining about spoilers is baffling to me.
On topic: purchased. I would recommend it to anyone.

As it turns out, I'm losing a lot of sleep to watch some of the game on live stream, and productivity at work is "a little lower" than usual streaming the previous day's VODs

Man I feel bad for the people who can't stream since I've had no problem. I feel bad for GOM too because they put the bandwidth checks there so people can make sure it will work but I think some people don't do that. If people in Europe are struggling with the stream it is probably due to international bottlenecks that are out of GOM's control. Or something? I'm not a networking expert but I live in Washington State and have average internet (which is shit internet compared to Europe) and I've never lagged once with the HQ stream. Even while torrenting. So GOM clearly has plenty of upload bandwidth and whatnot, but there are bottlenecks somewhere that are hurting some people.

I have way over the recommended bandwidth according to the check, but still when I watch the HQ it goes into choppy sessions where it's unwatchable. The SQ is fine though. It was like this last season too, but whatever I'll still pay.

I love how people claiming they have no problems, while gom acknowledge that they messed up the encoding for a couple of vods, so it is skippy for everyone. Saying "I have no problem" therefor translates to "I haven't watched vods and dunno what I am talking about", herp derp.

Bought a ticket for every season so far. Saved about $15 with the return buyer discount. Well worth it for not having to wait for a free slot in livestream even though last nights games were really difficult to watch as the GOMTV site was having issues. Will keep buying tickets though as I dont have a TV and I love SC2.
Liquid, EG and SlayerS Fighting!

maybe a fix for laggy VOD's for some people, this worked for me.
I dont preload them anymore, i keep spamming F5 or opening multiple tabs of the same game till the buffer speed is normal and i dont have to pause. Really weird

VODs aren't working at all for a lot of german users today it seems. good job gom!
/e oh and while I was searching for a solution for the problem (at the gom.tv forums) every single match was spoilered

I'm sick of people QQing about the videos being choppy, its not like GOM is trying to upload them like that. Besides, which do you think would make people more angry, choppy HQ video or no video at all?

I just don't get it. I have one hell of an internet connection. I can stream HD movies on Apple TV without ANY preload. Every other video service I have ever tried works fine for me but the VODs from GSL. And I mean come on. The HD VODs aren't even youtube HD quality.
SQ works (mostly) fine and I can at least watch the games, so I'm not going berserk (yet ^^). Plus the games were mostly crappy terran all ins anyway. So I'm not too mad when even SQ is choppy as hell. Still 20 $ for payed VOD's and I can't even watch VODs properly?
