And yet, it's obviously a bad idea - at least "obvious" to the majority of people (or at least SC fans) spectating. Just one of those things, I guess.

The first poll is asking you if you think it's fair or not, the second is asking you if you like the rule or not.

Is fairness more important than a more exciting final? Probably.

Lol, cannot help but agree ![]() I feel it spoils the excitement of the games when people meet for a rematch. Take for example DRG v Heart... Tastless said something like 'I think DRG should win' and as soon as someone said 'Oh DRG is 2-0, extended series' he said something like 'Oh well he WILL win then'. This just takes away the fun of people re matching in a tournament for me, not as much suspense going into the match (barring epic MC comebacks v IdrA).

Any rules should apply to all players equally, the fact that it is unfair for certain players in your opinion ,just means that it shouldn't be there period

Is it better for the spectators? No. It reduces a lot of the tension of the players being tied and having no expectations regarding the winner. Is fairness more important than a more exciting final? Probably. Except this rule also applies to people meeting again in the Loser's, or two players meeting in the Winner's after already met in pool play
