Although I really like the idea, not many people use it.
If there was a way to kick idlers in the chat, no one would be left.
Maybe there's another way for this kind of idea?

Perhaps a Battlenet channel for each level of play would be able to replace it?

Since I agree tlpickup is unfortunately pretty dead.

People who don't want to ladder and decide to play customs all day are people who are afraid of losing their stats and can't take losing. Losing is one of the best tools you have to help you improve. How I went from bronze rank 97 in july to where I am today in master league. Customs are good to practice specific match ups don't get me wrong, but if you dont ladder you are going no where fast.

arbitragE.762 - platinum level everything(not random, yet) looking for practice partners so i can focus on specific build orders, situations and just flesh out the nuances of the game etc. whatever level you are i dont care as long as you are willing to sit there for lengthy periods of time so that we can practice build orders against each other repeatedly.

Looking for practice partners of any race, to play diverse games and somewhat of a standard play on a gentlemen's agreement. I play allot of games in a sitting, with occasional few min breathers to smoke &/or watch our replay. My time zone is (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada). I'm on most of the time, always all night. Throughout afternoons and 2pm is most common log ins.

I feel reasonably comfortable in every match up, I'm currently just working on affective APM. Recently I have been changing all hot keys to fit my own play style better. Every hot key is almost different now, and it feels very smooth. Mainly looking for players of the same rank who want to drill games over and over on different maps, so it helps adjust myself to the new hot keys that have been introduced slowly.

Now that there's chat channels in Starcraft 2, wouldn't it be a lot easier to create a pick up chat channel within the game itself and use that instead?

- easier to figure out who's online/who's not
- who's online/away
- no alt-tabbing
