A little about me...
+ Show Spoiler +While I don't intend to tell my life story here, I do want to include a little background about my podcasting history. I've run a WoW PvP podcast (oh no, my secrets out!) for two years coming up this June. ArenaCast did quite well for itself, building a community and peaking at around 12,000 weekly downloads on shows. As of late, my interest in the game has slowed down, and I've stopped doing it as my co-hosts bowed out one-by-one.
Podcast Info
I've decided to go ahead and do a podcast -- maybe weekly, maybe bi-weekly, or this may be the first and last episode -- for SC2. Right now its a developing project, so I'm just winging it and naming it State of the Game SC2 Beta Podcast. Keep in mind that I'm still working on molding the show. I'm more of a dive-right-in, fix-it-later type guy so that's what I plan on doing!

Argh I just realized that I didn't change the skype settings on the other PC so you can here random Skype noises throughout the episode. I'll have this fixed for next episode (granted I remember, which I probably wont so this will become a familiar apology).

Another entertaining cast.
I would like to say that TLOs comment about Ghosts vs Broodlords is actually a pretty good one. Ghosts are good mid-late vs Z since you can EMP Infestors and Snipe is good vs BLs as well.

I think Day[9] got something about the Thor mixed up though. He praises the new Thor for being able to kill workers faster now. The sad truth - if my math hasnt left me - is that the "new Thor" doesnt one-shot workers anymore after the damage has been reduced to 30 down from 45 before the patch. Even though the "theoretical DPS" is the same you waste 15-20 damage when you have to hit a worker twice for a total of 60 damage compared to one-shotting it with a single hit of 45 damage. So the workers, who are all 40-45 hp, are the one exception where more hits are actually worse.
As he said though: it was recorded in the morning ...
EDIT: Well it looks like my non-beta-player-logic proved to be wrong, so I have to withdraw the above comments.

They did rechange one thing in a later patch: Mind Control of Infestors could target air in the beginning of the beta already.

when they said that Blizzard hasn't changed patches back to how they were, that's not entirely true because they did change the whole eggs turning back into larvae thing. Other than that Blizzard fails in that area

Btw. do I understand it correctly that day9 asked if blizzard ever just removed a change theyve done in a previous patch? Cause in that case I would mention that neural parasite was changed from 9 to 7 and then back to 9 again.

i gotta say, the KESPA part(altough to short) was the best. A) its always fun when Day9 gets "serious" and also its nice to have a discussion about it, seeing as alot of people here are very curious about the whole situationen

These podcasts are fantastic. You absolutely couldn't get better guests then TLO, Nony, and day[9] either. Probably should have TLO talk first always though so he doesn't have to spend time correcting day every other question :x

So I listened to episode 4 on my morning commute. I got some weird, weird looks on the train when I cracked the biggest smile non-stop while listening to lots of tasty tasty Starcraft wisdom.
Even weirder was the look I got when I burst out laughing walking down the street when Day9 began talking about 250mm Ultralisks.
Keep it up guys, can't wait for the next.

So it was just announced that Phase 1 of the SC2 Beta will be ending on May 31. Due to me having to travel starting next Tuesday and being gone till June 7, this week's Podcast will most likely be the last (unless I can cast next week from my friends house in California, might be possible). I'll let everyone know by the time we do the next podcast.
