I'd like to Nominate myself

I have been a TL lurker for about 1 year (Starcraft 2 forum lurker for 2 years!)
I have only just come up with the courage to make an account and start to donate my knowledge
and wisdom to the TL community, I watch streams basically Everyday, and in some time, earning trust, i wouldn't mind being a moderator for the TL Streams.

I'd like to nominate Realpenguin, because without him holding up the Woongjin fanbase (all 40 of us), the Stars would never get any recognition around here.

Of course, I have no idea if he actually needs/wants a key, so hopefully I'm not just wasting time and space!

I already got beta, bro. But thanks, this made my day *sniff*

I nominate pubbanana (if he doesnt have a key yet) because he is the original Stars fanboy
I love his posts about the old-school days :3

If he already has a key, then flamewheel91

I'm only guessing, but I'm hoping at some point Blizzard will release the editor during the Beta. Amateur map makers such as the following should get a chance to create some real cool maps and test out the editor.

So I nominate sTY_leZerG-eX to receive a beta key. He has been making some real interesting maps at BWMN that will never get the attention they deserve. I feel his map design(s) will only get better when SC2 gets released. He'd be a great contributor to that area of the beta (if they open the editor to testing, of course).

I really agree, hes talented.

I will also nominate sTY_leZerG-eX. Cheers

I nominate my brother Michael (username WiseMike). He is a master of taking an idea and abusing it to its fullest potential, and would thus benefit the game because he better than anyone else I know could find and exploit a quirky strategy or cheap tactic that would prove to be overpowered. Better to find them in Beta than after the game comes out, and nobody else I know can find them better than Michael.

I'd like to share an example of an overpowered trick that Michael has found. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, one of the available items is a paper fan that does low damage but has an extremely low cooldown. When you hit a character with it, that character is stunned (unable to move) for a longer time than it takes to hit him or her again with the fan. If there is a way to escape the infinite lock, I don't know it. Most players would hit you a few times with the fan, get bored or feel they're being cheap, and then mix up their assault. Michael, however, would hit me repeatedly until my damage was so high that any medium or strong attack would KO me. The man has no shame when it comes to exploiting something like that to win a game. In our household, if you thought a tactic was cheap, you either figured out a way to counter it or you adopted it yourself. Whining about it never got you anywhere (not that that stopped us).

Two years ago I was one of sixty entrants in an SSBB tournament at my college (St. Olaf). It was 4-player FFA, stock 3, with all items on (except the golden hammer, which the tournament director considered imba). I was skilled/fortunate enough to make it to the final round (on Melee's Hyrule Temple), where I (Pit) quickly discovered that two of my three opponents (DeDeDe and Wolf) were significantly better than I was, and the third (Ike) was at least as good. I got behind on lives, so I stayed away to let the others duke it out. Once Ike was eliminated, Wolf and DeDeDe quit attacking each other and took turns chasing me, probably because I was annoying them by running from battle. All three of us were on our last life--they having taken little damage (low percentages), I having taken much. Then, a smash ball and a fan appeared. I got the smash ball and immediately called down Palutena's Army. The centurions did little damage but distracted my enemies long enough for me to get the fan. I got hit a couple times and somehow found my way to the very bottom of the stage, on a small platform, at 172%. Wolf came down to fight me, and I spammed A as if my life depended on it. PAP-PAP-PAP-PAP-PAP-PAP-PAP-PAP-PAP went the fan. Wolf was stuck, his percentage rising. DeDeDe jumped down to save him. I kept spamming A, and he got caught in the flurry of fan fury as well. PAP-PAP-PAP-PAP-PAP, and finally a fan hit sent Wolf out of the lock, but down to his doom. I kept spamming A. PAP-PAP-PAP-PAP-PAP, and DeDeDe fell in the same direction. Unlike Wolf, DeDeDe was able to pull off an up-B move before he died. My heart froze as the oversized penguin jetted up, but he was pixels away from grabbing onto the edge and fell to his death.

I couldn't contain my excitement. I felt like the king of the world. I walked quickly until I was out of the commons building where the tournament was held, and then I ran back to my dorm room. I immediately called Michael to tell him that I had won, and that it was his super-cheap strategy that had won it.

It's too bad Nintendo never patched Brawl. If only they had WiseMike to help them address this issue before the game was released, then the best player might actually have won that tournament.

And then I got $50.

This is ridiculous... There should be a rule that you cant nominate yourself if under 5 posts or something -_-

Pokebunny
Yeah, they should really stop wasting their time lol. Not to say I don't respect their various desires and love for SC but no one knows about them most likely.

I resent that... just because some poeple have known about this community for longer doesn't mean we newbies don't have a chance. I don't believe its a waste of time. This is what im talking about, it's hard for new poeple to enter communites because sometime poeple don't give us chances. Much Love though PokeBunny, I don't want to be mean to you, it's just a general concern.

The contest is based on merit in a community... why bother? We aren't trying to say you won't be cool, but honestly, something as selfish as asking for a key from nominations in a community that has been around for 8 years with <10 posts? That's just ignorant imo.

This is just an IMO, but posting incessantly with nothing of worth to actually say is quite easy(not that I'm inferring that's what you do yourself). If you would prefer me to rack up 3500 posts in a few weeks filled with one liners or the seemingly obligatory trolling, I can do that. In fact, any social degenerate can. I've lurked here for about 6 months, and been a member for a little less then one. I have 4 posts I think? I don't avoid participating because I'm only here to mine the knowledge I need from this site and leave. I avoid participating because there are a lot of experienced and intelligent people here who understand the mechanics of both sc1 and 2 and having me post my opinions which are formed only from what I read and view in the community (and the few games that I've played) is far more ignorant then asking for a key. I have no doubt there are people in this community that are more deserving then myself and hopefully they get nominated and win a key. If they don't for some reason and there are extra keys going out to other people like me, who would be more ignorant? Me for not trying, or you for telling me not to bother? When I feel that I have progressed as a player and have something to say that has a constructive purpose in these forums, I hope we can talk ^^

I nominate [p]Drake (even though he nominated himself like 90% here) because I actually liked his really badly sung Thor-Drop Song.

I'd like to nominate myself, because I cried when I didn't get a beta key using 4 different SC cd keys, posting in every freebie thread on a diff forum, and every single betakey giveaway on facebook.

But on a more serious note, I would love to start playing and possibly join the CSL as part of UCI next year. I'm more of a lurker with an account since I rarely post, but I love this site, having spent around 2 hours daily on it(though recently I've been too busy for SC T_T college apps FTL!). Though I probably won't be getting one since there are 23 pages of great people in front of me, I would like to thank TL.net for doing these kinds of things for the community. Rock on!

P.S I'd also like to nominate Day9 if he doesn't have his own key, since he is baller enough to make manly men cry.

I'd like to nominate my good Argentinean friend IntoTheWoW. He's the only Argentinean who plays Starcraft, please do not deprive Argentina of SC2. Plus he makes the best SC guides; he basically invented ZvT during that era. Even Savior copied his build a year before he posted his guide. How else would Savior have become so dominant without using ITW's build?

Deserving because I'm the number 1 RuBy fan! Hell yeah! RuBy is so baller there aren't enough balls around to show how baller he is, and I'm behind him 100%!

This is a long thread and I am in a bit of a rush to get out of the house at the moment, so sorry if this guy has already been mentioned...

but I would like to nominate the winner of the cake competition (even though I don't know his/her ID, nor the person personally)

It would definitely suck to pour in effort, win a competition thinking you'll get a key, and end up not getting one and having to watch everyone else

I'd like to nominate myself. Although I am nobody special and not even a good poster. I have one thing over everyone else. I been here since the beginning!!!

I think I'm the oldest non staff non owner of the site left~~!
I may not be the best player right now but I think I can beat any 'best' players. I'll beat all the best players and become the best player. Watch me. - Jju

I would like to nominate iCCup.Diamond for a key.

With the goal of holding cross-server challenges (US vs EU, etc), Diamond could use one of those keys to make these challenges, and tournaments, happen. They key would help us witness amazing matches, such as TLO/Nazgul/Dimaga vs. LzGamer/Cauthon/Joseki. One single key can affect the lives of the thousands of viewers. Help him create what has not yet been seen!

Before I nominated myself, but if i had to nominate someone different it would be Flamewheel 91 for all he's done, making many of the threads for WL when we had no one to make them. This guy is the man with the plan and his passion to TL has been greater than many of us combined. He's done everything right when it counts and even his "faildictions" are better then my predictions. SO EVEN IF HE DOESN'T GET A KEY:
