You just need to get the client from a friend or torrent and right click on the replay and open with SC2.

Hey everyone!

I recently posted a thread about the SC2 VODs I've been uploading which you can find here:
Platinum Division 1 Leader VODS

I'm glad some of you have enjoyed those but it seemed as though a lot of people prefer replays...

So what I did today was try to play 100 games in under 24 hours, I started at 3:09pm yesterday and finished my 100th game about 40 minutes ago, at 2:22pm

I also decided to make a small note about what the game was like so you guys can see whatever (zerg) matchup you want and I also noted which games I thought would be entertaining, a LOT of the ones not bolded are still good games worth watching but I'll let you decide what to watch via the descriptions.

When I started this I didn't use any established build orders, I just tried to react to what they were doing and eventually I obviously started doing somewhat similar things.
I drone scouted every game except ZvZ or if my overlord could see their base.

My play got much sloppier in the late 80's and 90's, you can definitely believe I will never attempt to do this again.

My finishing record at platinum level was 86-14, my rating went from around 1230 to1465.

Sooo yeah..
I'm fucking exhausted but I think I can manage to do all of this now so here goes..

Here are the replays, they are numbered:
[url blocked]
http://www.mediafire.com/?yqmy3t4jvjt

1. ZvT Win - Scouted 2 racks, marines followed by tech lab.
2. ZvP Win - Scouted late gate, went hatch first, he responded by going 2 gate zealot
3. ZvZ Win - Boring
4. ZvZ Win - Great game, this guy shit talks TL at the beginning.
5. ZvZ Win - Average ZvZ
6. ZvP Win - Recommended game
7. ZvP Win - My average ZvP
8. ZvT Win - Scout and counter
9. ZvZ Win - ZvZ map abuse
10. ZvZ Win - Really close one, roach burrow micro(which I do a lot)
11. ZvP Loss - (Xeris) I felt like I beat myself this game by being way more aggressive than I usually am, all credit to Xeris though he played really great and punished me for my mistakes.
12. ZvZ Win - Easy ZvZ
13. ZvZ Win - Insane ZvZ, I did not play very well
14. ZvP Win - Easy ZvP
15. ZvZ Win - Easy ZvZ
16. ZvP Win - Easy win vs known cheeser(proxy gates)
17. ZvP Win - Easy win vs the same guy who decided not to proxy gate this time

19. ZvT Win - Weird win vs planetary fortress abuse
20. ZvZ Win - Close ZvZ because I'm bad and missed an overlord
21. ZvT Win - Great game vs CowGoMoo(someone good)
22. ZvZ Win - Complete domination of a roach rush
23. ZvT Win - Solid play vs 1 base all-in garbage
24. ZvP Win - Sloppy win vs high ranked guy
25. ZvP Loss - Collosus run through my unit like hot knife through butter/EasilyCountered
26. ZvP Win - Bad play but I pull it out vs the the same guy from 25
27. ZvZ Win - Won without any drones or minerals
28. ZvP Win - Idra calls me a retard as he feebly 1 base all-ins me
29. ZvP Win - I troll rush Idra and he succumbs
30. ZvP Win - Boring
31. ZvT Win - Easy win
32. ZvT Loss - Good terran timing attack (vs me)
33. ZvZ Win - Solid ZvZ win
34. ZvP Win - Rape some shittalker

36. ZvT Win - Resisted nydus with simple marine parimeter - made game longer is all

38. ZvT Win - Playing vs 1 base is easy and boring
39. ZvZ Win - Roach>Hydra
40. ZvZ Loss - Artosis is the fucking truth
41. ZvP Win - Artosis again, as we discussed he could have won if he just made more collosus instead of switching to high temps
42. ZvP Win - A long ZvP in which I play poorly

44. ZvT Win - Reaper/speedling action

50. ZvZ Win - Boring
51. ZvT Win - Mutaling
52. ZvP Win - Mutaling

55. ZvT Win - Easy win
56. ZvT Win - Marine/maurader stuff
57. ZvT Win - Boring
58. ZvZ Win - Easy win
59. ZvT Loss - Reapers again(No they aren't good, I'm bad)

74. ZvZ Loss - Some guy ling allins me and I'm god awful
75. ZvP Win - Easy +0 points
76. ZvZ Loss - Artosis drops knowledge on me in the form of complete rape.. I may never build another muta again in this matchup, we did the math afterwords and the 700 gas I spent towards 5 mutas is equal to 28 roaches (in gas)
77. ZvP Loss - Smuft 2 gates me in the face and I don't react to it (by saving larva for lings)even though I scout it...I took a shower after this game
78. ZvP Win - Easy win
79. ZvT Win - Easy and boring
80. ZvP Win - Surprised I pulled this one out, this guy used sentrys quite well

84. ZvP Win - Faking a spire has never lead to such domination
85. ZvP Loss - 84 guy takes revenge with warp gates
86. ZvT Loss - David Kim proves to me I should go muta on that map
87. ZvT Win - Brood lords are good
88. ZvT Win - Mutaling
89. ZvT Win - Boring
90. ZvT Win - Boring
91. ZvP Win - 6 minutes long, mass speedlings
92. ZvP Win - Gateway into forge FE on the wrong map
93. ZvP Win - +0
94. ZvP Win - Decent ZvP
95. ZvP Win - 3 minute long/rush failure
96. ZvP Loss - Terrible play on my part
97. ZvZ Win - Burrow micro is abusable in small numbers if no detection
98. ZvZ Win - Guy drone rushes me after I call him ignorant for saying only asians can play SC professionally - not worth watching
99. ZvP Win - I play pretty bad but this game gets into a really strange position.. possibly worth watching
100. ZvP Win - Mutaling

Please feel free to comment about my play if you feel inclined, I am completely open to tips, advice as long as it isn't obvious like using queen every cooldown or macroing better AND you are very confident in your advice/ know what you're talking about.

I'm all alone for the next 8 days as my parents are going on a trip.

Boo yeah. Me, no pants, pre-cooked food, and my cat. All there with SC2.

absolutely fantastic!! you rule! :D

I'll definitely be watching alot of them. Individual replays are never as informative as watching 10 in a row of 1 player in the same matchup : ]

So who won the beta key? I noticed you deleted the video that said you were going to give one away. Was it just a ploy to get subscribers? Sounds like you are a phony.

I didn't think that was even possible. Even if you play games continuously with the new game starting the same second the last one ended that would give you 14.4 minutes per game. I'll have to download and check your average game length :D Good job!

*edit* Your median(on replay file size) game length was 14 minutes ^^ I guess replay file size depends a lot on APM though, the average is probably closer to 10 minutes.

Great thread =)

In the video I said I would give it away if they were giving them out which I thought they would, I can't give away what I don't have.

Husky thought they were going to give them out as well that's the main reason he went.

hey inreach, you playing strictly zerg right? What are your typical builds that you go for in each matchup? Or typical army compositions without knowing opponents build- other than matchup.

Also, what do you think are the best/worst maps for Z? I've been playing random and right now ZvZ is my worst matchup.
..and then I would, ya know, check em'. (Aka SpoR)

Just C+, I never iccup'd for more than a couple of months before switching back to WC3
I feel my theory of the game is far beyond that, I always made up my own builds and did a lot of testing etc

WC3 I was rank 1 in the non-ladder last season and then did fairly poorly in the invitational ladder, again I was always on and off with the game

I'm going to play zerg until they add custom hotkeys and then switch to one or the other and see how I like it..

I don't really have any typical builds, I think muta is very strong in ZvT and ZvP if you can get your natural and the 4 gases quickly and safely

I always drone scout and a never seem to have to play blind since I get a fast lair and get overlord speed right away to scout them.

I just hate kulas ravine

I'm sure you could learn a lot by just watching the ZvZ's I posted

Man collosi are Nuts. You pretty much had double in food of his army and he took out a huge portion of your army. Well you did have 2-3x his income. But it seems if he had 2 more collosi hydras would have just been useless

Awesome job, you are crazy though!. I will definitely watch some of these replays.
Also, I don't know why people give you so much shit. I always found your youtube videos entertaining and learned did learn a couple things from them. If I were a bigger noobie at war3 I would have learned a ton and that was what the videos were aimed at in a lot of ways. Keep up the good work.

Man collosi are Nuts. You pretty much had double in food of his army and he took out a huge portion of your army. Well you did have 2-3x his income. But it seems if he had 2 more collosi hydras would have just been useless

Yeah at a certain point in the game zerg better be on either muta or ultra or its like zerglings vs medic/firebat

Keep in mind that 1 game second = 1 real second in Fast, but everyone (I believe) plays on Faster (so the games are actually shorter than the time says).

41. ZvP Win - Artosis again, as we discussed he could have won if he just made more collosus instead of switching to high temps

+ Show Spoiler +
I think it's a bit of a stretch to say that he would've won the game with a few more collosi. Artosis basically built 10 rocks and you killed him with 50 scissors.

Whenever I do get the beta or the final product, I will be doing a 24 hour session myself.

They don't give beta keys to people who write "could of", I'm afraid.

Also, someone pleeease YT some of these games.

Umm his storm tech and high temps were over like 1000 gas?

200 for archives 200 for storm tech and at least 4 templars

Anyways if you haven't seen a lot of hydra vs collosus, I promise you, you'll believe it when it happens. If the collosus have a meat shield it is like firebat vs ling not joking

Edit: Also it is hilarious that charge makes you storm your own zealots and they are in the same tech path, it's happened every single time my opponent went storm tech and charge

I'd like to hear your otherall thoughts on the game. Is Zerg too powerful at the moment or do you think everything you did could be beaten with proper unit use?

I've never even seen a factory build... I really think it's too early to balance the game based on what the higher ranked players happen to be doing right now, the game hasn't be explored very much at all.

You can see replays legally. Open a replay with "open with" and select the beta2 launcher without any ilegal modification. Its works fine.

I counted (ugh...):
  • ZvT: 27 - 4. 87,1%. Total: 31
  • ZvZ: 25 - 4. 86,2%. Total: 29
  • ZvP: 34 - 6. 85%. Total: 40

The totals obviously also equal the percentages of those races within your opponents due to the smart setup.
Surprisingly your ZvP winrate is the lowest. But I guess it is hard to figure out the balances from this pool because of the scaling. One can only estimate the tendencies that ZvP < 50% and ZvT > 50%.

looks like that guy in game #74 found a counter to your roaches. he ended up having to push out slightly before he wanted since you scouted him, but it still worked.

nice job though, 86-14 is impressive. even more so w/o sleep.

No, lings don't counter roaches(it takes 50 hits for a lings to kill roaches not joking)

Haha I'm interested which games you are referring to so I can take a look, I still meant to control my units correctly otherwise it's obviously not an accurate unit interaction.. Maybe I was macroing but still I'd like to know which game?

37. ZvZ Win - 6 pool is bad

Actually it wasn't bad at all! Right after you fended it off you were at 8 drones and he at 13 plus his queen was a little earlier and you made some extra lings probably out of fear. He just followed that up very badly - apparently he had never heard of roaches nor of destructible rocks before.

So I guess the opening you did in that game is actually a bit risky. Even if you didn't die immediately, that difference in eco is pretty much a made game. So maybe it will be a little like in BW with the zvz openings.

Ok yeah he 7 pooled but I 15 pooled, it is probably prudent to 13pool, at least on 2 player maps

Yeah he definitely should not have lost that

What was your longest game inreach? If you played 100 in 24 hours thats over 4 games an hour, so average each less than 15mins.. I'm not sure you could do that in BW unless you zvz.

No I was relying on the fact that people usually don't expand and just do 1 attack and then lose to a counter lol

Definitely couldn't pull it off in SC1, not even close

I was thinking I might have to start 6pooling at the end if it was clos

I think longest game was like 25 minutes on faster which means like 20 minutes roughly I believe

Absolutely awesome games so far. Thank you so much for uploading these for us to drool over.

First going through all your 'bolded' games then I'll go through and watch the rest.

Game #21 vs CowGoMoo was definitely in the top 5 games I've watched! (And I've been able to watch hundreds as I can watch stream while at work hehe)
- Loved how you saw his army move out kill your 6 o'clock nydus, then pop a 9 o'clock one and take out his expo.

You probably had a ton of fun doing this (well at least in the start heh) but I really thank you from all of us who are getting countless hours of fun watching it all!

WOW! That's insane you actually accomplished that goal haha. I'm glad I was able to give you one of those 14 losses ! I'm still learning so much about the game, I wish I had the dedication to play that many games in 24 hours. Hope we play more in the future.

That is hardly physically possible.

To play 100 games in 24 hours, they would all have to last less than 15 minutes. And you wouldn't be able to eat, drink, sleep, or do anything at all besides play SC2.

Either you're exaggerating, or you're a fat loser who needs to step outside. In any case, you get no praise from me.

Showing material evidence that demonstrates a display of skill is one thing.

Boasting about how many matches you played in a given time period is a whole other thing. Talk about taking a serious toll on one's physical health. But what really sickens me is that posters are treating him like some sort of god for doing this. WTF is wrong with you people?

You ever hear those stories about gamers playing for 30-40+ hours straight and then collapsing and dying shortly after leaving their desk? Most of them are from Korea.

I imagine the OP being one of those statistics in the very near future.

Boasting? He posted replay's, pointed out the good games and generally contributed to the community. It's hardly boasting.

inReacH isn't retarded. I'm sure he would be able to gauge if he absolutely had to take a break for whatever reason. And clearly, since he did this a few weeks ago, he is fine.

It was his choice, his time, his health. People were thanking him for his contribution to the community, it's not like everyone in this thread is going to run out, attempt to do this and drop dead.

Calling him a fat loser in your first post indicates you're either a troll or a general prick, neither of which is likely to post anything useful.

You don't have the gamedata for the patches in which these were played.
If you want to watch them you have to torrent the first beta version.
