Why would you ever choose failure, when success is an option.

Not sure if anyone's said this (I've only read the first couple of pages) but Fenix is a race-picker, and he played Terran against Kolll's Zerg. (AFAIK he plays PvT TvP TvZ.) This is a correction to the last caption in the Morrow article.

The report on IdrA is awesome. I think it captures the essence of the player. It's very valid that his personality brings life to the community and sets him apart even more than his superior skillz. I sincerely hope CJ gives him free reign to practice the shit out of SC2 and bring that same personality to the scene in Korea, because i think that would be the best thing possible for eSports in general, and i don't think he is capable of doing that in the current BW scene.

from Artosis report"For better or worse, as you switch from a Firebat to a Reaper, a Dragoon to a Stalker, a Roach to a Defiler (I have to point this out, lol), the constant will remain the voice – and, more and more every day, the face – of Dan Stemkoski. His ubiquitous presence can be can be (this too, ^^) felt far from the many commentaries he lends his voice to. His most valuable contribution, his most unique ability is his level of access in the high levels of Korea and the worldwide community alike."

@ Morrow: all i can say is wow. that, and the fact that i will be better than you at SC2.

I never make mistakes!

Thanks. :D I'll fix it up in a minute.

oh wow chobopeon, I had no idea that that was your sight. It's pretty cool too i already bookmarked it and plan to check it out in the future. What are your plans for SC2 coverage?

my plans are to recruit a fairly reliable team of writers and keep quality interviews and articles streaming in. the goal is to focus on the flesh and blood side of the game, not to be a news site - i could never compete with current news sites and i don't want to.

edit: oh, and to keep an easily browsable list of good VODs/replays to watch here.

thanks for reading and thanks for the feedback. i appreciate it.

Try posting something that doesn't reveal your massive ego or insecurity.

Sorry if that's what you perceived from these, I'm guessing you're not really competitive, more like casual

Yeah because only competitive gamers can see you're full of yourself. God your posts are awful.

Is it just me or am I the only one who took the exchange as two men measuring their dicks, and one just having an enormously 1.5 million long wang?

Guy 1 makes point about Guy 2's notoriety and disagreeing with what people find "interesting"
Guy 2 comes out and says he's trash and no-one cared about him (which brings up the question about who really cares about Guy 2 [true friends vs fans/fame chasers] but whatever)
Guy 1 says his skills make Guy 2 look like trash - how much money you've won in poker is something of a skill barometer: in progaming you'd talk about high placings and tournaments won, but in poker you make a point of money earned in tournaments as well

Since no-one really cares about losers in the tournaments, the only lasting judge is who's better prepared to deal with the aftermath of not being able to compete at the requisite level ... poker might have a bigger pay-off, but also more of a long-term misery whereas progaming has a very short lifespan.

And having the 1.5 million in the bank ... well, it's not exactly in the bank (because it's probably just the figure from tournament winnings or the size of a bankroll) so you can't exactly just walk away and be set for life ... not yet. But maybe one day.

Who's prepared for the fall better ... well, we can't answer that, but whoever is more prepared is the one who's 'less trash', if that makes any sense.

Ontopic: Nice interviews! I hope we will maybe get some [real/popular] competitive scene out of korea with Starcraft 2.

offtopic: I mean Idra is definetly not one of the best. Ok he made it, maybe he can live from sc (can he actually? I heard the living expenses in korea are quite high ) but he is part of the scene and i always love it when idra leaves a game without a proper gg (or any other catchphrase) like the games against cauthon or drunkenbobby because it makes me laugh. I really can imagine this guy getting angry

But this "you are trash" discussion is so pointless. In my opinion this pokerguy is definetly a douche. No matter with what he now come up. Blablabla get off with your 1,5 million peni$. You are in one point as lame as idra -> you have not learned to loose properly.
I want a european Starcraft 2 pro league - i have enough of those koreans!

Could you please structure the interviews a little bit? Distinct the question from answer, distinct your oppinion or commentary from either of those?

It's really hard to read comfortably. But the substance is great, keep up the good work.

ya but nobody cared about you cuz you're trash

yeah but while you played starcraft and barely managed to get known, i've won 1.5million playing poker, compared to me, you're really a little pile of trash now, so pipe down

I'm glad you assess who's trash and who isn't by how much money they have. That comes off really well

Well id rather be having 1.5 million dollars then being a known foreigner not making squat..

But thats just me ^^

“Depending upon what videos I’ve made or edited, I’m normally done with work by about 6:30pm. Then I go to the gym, or hang out with some friends, or my girlfriend. Sleep when I’m tired. Rinse and repeat.”

Honestly, who is he kidding?
