I think the way he does it has a nice pacing and leads to good analysis most of the time while still allowing your brain a few seconds to rest every so often. I don't. You don't have to keep mentioning it, this is a thread about Day9 and we're supposed to be discussing him and his videos here. There is no war between the lovers and the haters.

When you're more experienced, i'd imagine you'd want less explained to you in depth, so you'd want him to pause less, but I'm under the impression they're for newer players/low level players. So it's natural that you'd "grow out of" his dailies. (other than fundays)
Go Day9! o.o
This man speaks the truth.
It's only natural that once you've reached a certain point in your game (I'm going to out on a limb and say high Diamond/Low Master League), his dailies stop being overly helpful and become a source of entertainment more than educational pieces.
There's only so many times you can be told "pylons and probes" before it sticks in your head and you don't need to be told anymore. After that, for educational purposes, you're only going to take something from specific subjects that are bothering you (Handling specific rush timings, unit compositions, match-ups, etc.).

The daily it's not all about starcraft and strategy and analysis. It's also about Day9. I understand that sometimes you are not in the mood for his jokes/pausing/bla bla bla, buy the shows were always that way and prolly they always will be that way.
If you are not enyoing them anymore, just take a break and come back in a few days/weeks/months.
You'll enjoy them again.
Just my 2cents.

So do you think the Day[9] is going to watch the superbowl? I'm wondering if the daily will be delayed or not.
|
does day9 analyse the 11overpool 18 hatct build anywhere?
|
Newbie Tuesday helped me a lot this week, thank you Day 9
|
Is there any way to get ahold of Day[9]? Does he happen to have any publicly available e-mails that he browses?
|
I think it'd be cool if Day9 had a Strategy Saturday or something like that where all he does is focus on a various set of timing attacks and how to deal with them, expect them with scouting, talk about which attacks limit what the other player can do and which attacks are only useful in certain situations... with very specific build orders, like: attack at the X minute mark with N number of marines using two raxes, one with a reactor, or attack at the X+1 minute mark with M number of marines with three raxes, etc., looking for optimizations

Why would he otherwise be casting Starcraft games and doing dailies 5 days a week and not commentate on football matches?

Since about last week the Daily has become unwatchable live for me. It lags and skips back and forth in time. Not sure what if anything changed on my end or where to start looking. Hurray for VODs

Same for me, Although previously working well, the last couple of weeks are fine on the ustream site AND chat... untill the stream starts, at which point I lose both!
Tested on all 3 computers at home, and also on the work one.. NZ is the bottom of the world, but with a 60 ping to LA and a 1Mb up and 10 Mb/s down score on speedtest.net it really can't be on my end, can it?
I'm resorting to VODS too, but would love to take part in the live action instead
Please vote and we can get an overall perspective here?

It's the game.

Personally i realy don't care for sport so super bowl or a few dudes doing it when bored is the same for me. the same way ppl that don't like starcraft would say GSL is just another starcraft tournament.

I'm so sad we didn't get to see Day9 tonight!
Funday Monday won't be the same if we don't get to see him.
